I contacted Grateful Plumber through Yelp's project feature. I noted that they were a plumber that…read morequalified for Yelp's guarantee program, a neat program that I've fortunately never had to use. I did my initial contact outside of business hours. Early the next morning, I had a message from Adam B. Once I got to work, I returned the call and quickly described my issue and what I believed it to be. The first available appointment wasn't until Monday (it wasn't urgent, so I wasn't worried about going the weekend). I got my timeframe. I had a couple other appointments that day, so I ended up taking the day off so I could easily be available. I immediately liked that they told me who would be arriving - AND that was who arrived. I also liked that they use a customer portal that allows you to have some security if you pay online or to review your records. Christian arrived (there was one other person with him). It took him a couple minutes to diagnose the issue he believed it to be, and it took him not a lot longer to determine that diagnosis correct. He quoted the price, I agreed, and he got to work. After finishing the work, he determined the original issue I'd believed it to be wasn't quite needing to be addressed (but will be in the near future). We discussed options, including ways I could save a bit. Christian was personable and explained things in a way I could understand. The issue was likely caused by me, but he managed to avoid using the word "idiot" at any point. The repair was done in a timely manner. The price ended up being a bit lower than quoted. I appreciated his honesty as he very easily could have pointed me toward a repair not needing done yet. It also became obvious the last person I'd used had really only done half the job. Everything has worked beautifully since Christian finished. There are likely a couple more projects I'll tackle in the near future, and I won't hesitate to return to Grateful Plumber. The housecall was $59, but that was credited toward the repair once I decided to have them do the work. Friendly employees. Good follow-through. Fair pricing. Quality work. Problem solved. That's 5-star for me and another winner for Yelp's project feature.

Three months later, the repairs not done. The flooring has not been restored, parts of our home are still unfinished, and communication has been minimal despite multiple attempts to follow up and now they are refusing to cooperate. What has been most concerning is not the issue itself, but the lack of follow-through after responsibility was acknowledged in writing. This has resulted in an ongoing disruption to our home and a very frustrating experience. If you choose to work with this company, I would strongly recommend documenting everything clearly and confirming responsibility in writing before any work begins.

He was so professional and knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. He even drilled a hole in my cast iron sink to install the RO faucet (something other companies would not try). When I had trouble with my ice maker in the refrigerator, he came back and made sure everything was operational. LastLu he delivered several bags of salt for my softener as a cour. Now Cory is amazing, too. He worked with me on my well to make certain that my water passes inspection. He came back more than once and solved my problems. I especially appreciated how he took the time to explain everything and reassure me in the process. Finally Brandis in the office is also wonderful. Always a friendly voice who keeps things running smoothly. And she remembers your name. Family!

They left a note stating they could test to see for sure if it is the compressor but that it would require a capacitor and a hard start kit and that would cost me $1,900. I took that note into conners AC Supply and was handed those two parts for $35. 2 minute youtube video showed me how to install these two items. While he did try to overcharge by over $1,800 he was right about it needing replaced. I gave benefit of doubt and called them in about the unit. They sent a saleman whom started his bidding at $28,0000 for a new unit. I grabbed the specs of the machine he was offering me and got one more quote from myers for $4,000 whom actually charged me $3,600 for an easy job.
