So many Mexican restaurants have popped up around the area. this is the closest one to my home and a very convenient place for me and my daughter to grab a quick dinner. She has eaten here once before and thought it was okay. While Cocos Locos didn't leave a major impression on me, I thought it was just fine. The food was hot, the service was decent, and there were a number of families there who seemed to be enjoying their meals. You won't be wowed by the decor; it's pretty much what you would expect from a family-friendly Mexican restaurant. the food took a little longer than I anticipated, but my plate had a nice presentation and there seemed to be an adequate portion of food for both dishes. I decided to try the spinach and chicken quesadillas, a combination I've never seen anywhere else. In fact, I thought it was such a unique, if not odd, pairing, that I just had to try it. I found it a bit bland, actually, and will likely not try it again. My daughter had the chicken nachos and she thought they were good enough to satisfy her hunger. For a growing teen, that's good enough for me. Overall, this was an average experience. The convenience in the location is great, but food-wise, I am fine with driving a couple miles down the road for better, more flavorful food. read more

I was impressed by the social distancing and the covid safety measures that were being taken, they definitely had my mind at ease as far as public health. Honestly I wasn't too impressed, but I was disappointed. Coco locos has a LOT to offer, their menu is huge with a variety of food for every tastebud. Unfortunately they fell a little short for taste, I ordered the pollo jinete and while it came out sizzling on a plate, looking scrumptious, I was not happy. My bacon was soggy, the cheese on the bottom was so beyond melted that all I could taste was burnt cheese. My chicken was tough to cut, lacked flavor, was dry. I asked for a side of rice and beans and that came out cold. I'm not sure if they prepared it and then forgot but I did not like cold beans. The chips and salsa that came out was good, the salsa was very good acrually and it was probably my favorite part of the menu. Maybe the cook was having an off night but based on my first and only experience I wouldn't hold my hopes for another visit... Went here for lunch after spending way too much time at LW hospital right across the street. My hubby and I were seated promptly. Service was friendly. Food arrived quickly. I ordered the vegetarian special of a cheese quesadilla, bean burrito and potato enchilada. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty. I wanted to give 5 stars, but there was a few cons involved. No drink prices on the drink menu. Yeah, I should have asked the price of that margarita before ordering it, but I made the mistake of ASSuming it couldn't be that expensive. No way Jose, I was waaay wrong! $10.99 for a chalice of margarita that was bigger than my cat's head and filled with a lot of ice. It was made nice, did the trick, but dang!!! Also, the tables in that place were very low, so you had to hunch over when eating. And the floor was super slick, like it had just been waxed. I was praying that I didn't fall. This is my second review for Coco Locos in a 6 year span and they are still as good as the first time I had them. I'm so glad that they survived the pandemic and that I was able to come back after all this time. I thought for sure the drinks would be watered down and the food to be just okay. But I was wrong, everything is still delicious as ever with some minor changes to the menu. The service here is always nice. I really love it there. I'll be back with friends next time. read more

This is the best local Mexican food hands down. Everything I've had here is delicious, from the guac to the fajitas. My favorite item is the Burrito Loco, I have shown many of my friends this burrito. We are all obsessed with this place. The service is always excellent. The Carnitas were very good for the parts I could eat as this portion was small as well and a lot of them were burnt. We spent last Friday driving around to different furniture stores. By the 6th one, my wife and I decided it was time for some Mexican food! While we had never been to or heard of Cocos Locos, it was extremely satisfying. Like every other restaurant right now, it was apparent they were understaffed but I still felt the service was where it needed to be. This tells you that the staff who did work, worked very diligently. The Arroz Con Pollo here was one of the best I've had at any Mexican restaurant in ages too. Most of the time I will find myself spending $14-16 for an average meal. Not here! My meal was $12 something and some change but top notch! If you are somewhere on the east side of Cleveland and need some margs or anything else in the category, this is your place! read more

The chip serving size was about a handful per basket, and even though there were only 3 people in the restaurant, we weren't sure if our chips would ever be refilled. The service was so slow that at times I wondered if the restaurant was actually closed. The chips weren't hot and didn't seem fresh either. None of the food arrived hot, although the plate was somehow scalding. Even the tortilla soup wasn't hot, in addition to tasting like garbage. The tacos were tiny, filled with tiny dried out pieces of meat and gross salsas on the side. I thought the steak quesadilla was mediocre, but the contents weren't held together properly. The rice was flavorless and the main dishes didn't come with beans. We are pretty certain none of the food was made today. The waitress was lovely but didn't understand English. My friend ordered the Hawaiian fajita, it was huge. It is literally served inside a pineapple. It looked delicious and the bite of pineapple i had was amazing. My friend then ordered two desserts to go, thefried cheesecake and the mexican banana. Both were absolutely delicious even after sitting in my fridge and being reheated 3 hours later.
