They only sell Italian croissants and macaron shells for the TooGood ToGo program. They croissants are really good if lucky enough to catch this grab on TGTG. You can taste the difference they are made out of Canada, it's a much flakier, tighter rolled and lighter than the best ones here. The program also sells the broken macaron on shells, great to snack on!

Leaving it overnight in the upper fridge, or leave it for 1 hour at room temperature before tasting it. So smooth, so creamy. Irresistibly delicious. Unquestionably the real deal. Other items include Macaroons (6pk for $12.99, 12pk for $24), Portuguese tarts, and Tiramisu. I only have a medium-sized stomach. So, will come back and try them later on. LOL.

The downside is that it doesn't make any drinks, unlike its Yonge and Eglinton location. I also recently found out that the Palgong Tea on Highway 7 in Richmond Hill offers The Social Blend macarons. You don't get the same extensive selection, but they are equally as creative and delicious. When I do visit the STC location, I park by Cineplex. It's by the main mall entrance next to Old Navy. I believe that it's entrance 2. It still has some construction happening. If you walk straight ahead from this entrance when you're in the mall, you'll see the back of The Social Blend. The name of the store is easy to spot. It's by Chick-fil-A. Staff here are always helpful and nice. I tend to have questions and they are great answering them. As usual, choosing macarons can be touch. I want all of them! I have had the following: - Watermelon - Green grape coconut - Raspberry - Tiramisu They were all super cute and yummy! You get a a lot of filling. It's not too sweet, which I like. The shell is crispy and chewy. The filling tends to be subtle, but yummy. So good! This store does not make drinks like its store on Eglinton does. However, it does have canned drinks. The Mulligan sparkling lemon black tea is excellent! I am happy that I have options to get The Social Blend macarons without hitting uptown Toronto. My experiences have been consistent. I'll be back soon. (385)

It's a great spot to grab a sweet snack and a warm drink. They have a full selection of flavors. The Korean macarons are nice since there is more filling. The whole pastry isn't sweet, which is always a good thing. They look so pretty and is perfect as a gift or to bring to a party. The smallest box set they have is 5 pieces. They also released specialty macaron sets as well, I've ordered the pokemon one last year.

So far the best macarons I've had are at a French patisserie in Buffalo. These are good, but so…read moreclose to being great. My understanding is that the hardest part of making a macaron is the cookie shell, and these are wonderful. The texture and flavor is just right. The lavender did not make me think of soap initially. The violet absolutely did. That's not a strike against them. Those notes are just so popular in soap, it's an automatic association. The same is true of rose, but it's so often used in drinks and foods that it's not as jarring. The problem I had with these macarons is the filling, and it's probably such an easy fix. It's just too sweet and somehow when combined with the floral flavors, I could swear I had the actual mouth feel of soap by the time I'd eaten all three, like a faint burning on my tongue. I'd definitely recommend the rose lychee, and maybe doing a mix of flavors instead of all floral or having just one at a time. Macarons are 50 cents than the other patisserie I tried (Nadege) during my trip, but still competitively priced.

Yoglo Yogurt Fruit Mix - Pistachio macaron

It was $12 a box, which seemed cheaper than most places. I ended up getting two, so that my friend and I could enjoy them at work. I placed my order and headed over to this store. It's located in a plaza on the southeast corner of Brimley and Sheppard Avenue East. I didn't know where it was, so I parked at the back and walked around. It's a weird mall-plaza setup. I'd say that roughly three pathways were blocked off for construction, so it was trying to figure out how to best find unit 1. You'd think that unit 1 would be on the left when you face the plaza. Nope, it's on the right, tucked away in an alley, across from the food court. The good thing about trying to find this store is that I have walked the entire place. There are a handful of stores in the mall area. Most are outside that comprise the plaza. I was thrilled that I found this store. I walked in. It's not the coziest place. There's one chair to sit down. It really isn't meant to be a store to get fruit, a drink, or macarons, and sit there to savour them. It's one path to get to the counter and then leave. The woman started talking to me in Mandarin, which is a language that I don't speak. I ended up speaking to her in English and showing my DoorDash order. She had it ready and handed it over with the most secure knot on a plastic bag that I have ever seen. I thanked her and left the store, walking through the maze to get to my car. There is lots of parking. Sure, you may need to park in the back like I did, but I felt safe. My car was fine. I brought the macarons to work the following day. My friend and I had three each before and after lunch. These macarons are smaller in size. I like that this store specializes in fruit and desserts. It was all fruit filling between the macaron shells. It was different and I liked it. The macarons were placed on top of Fruit Loops. This place likes to be different and I welcome it! I felt like I needed milk. However, the cereal absorbed some of the moisture from the macarons and they were softer. It was perfect for my friend who has braces. Each box had these flavours: - Pistachio - Creme brulee - Dulce de leche - Chocolate - Red velvet - Chocolate mandarin The problem was trying to distinguish what the two different shades of brown macarons were. The same was the case with the pinkish macarons. I like that my friend and I chose a macaron colour, had a bite, and looked at each other guessing what we were having. It was a lot of fun. These macarons were excellent. They had a crunchy, soft macaron shells. The flavours were yummy and sometimes complex. They weren't sweet, which was a bonus. We liked the creme brulee one the best out of them. It tasted like the dessert, but without the sugar rush. We enjoyed the citrusy chocolate mandarin. The pistachio was also awesome. This store sells a lot of fruit products, from cubed fresh fruit, to fruit smoothies. As the name indicates, you can get yogurt-based bowls and drinks. This store also has dessert knockoffs. It makes chocolate cupcakes that look like Hostess ones. It also had Flakie-like pastries. I had a great experience with the macarons. I am a fan of fruit, so I'll come back for more. The location is a bit weird, though. At least I know where it is now. (444)
