First ever foot rub, didn't want to go to a sleazy place and so glad I found this on yelp while I was in Flushing for some Nan Xiang soup dumplings. A whole hour for only $20. Tipped $10. People around me getting their feet rubbed were passed out, one snoring. I like to generalize the cleanliness of a place by their bathroom and it was neat and clean. I loved that they made an effort to talk softly amongst themselves instead of being loud and obnoxious as many Asian places can be. They had soft music in the background. I so wanted to tack on another hour but my husband was waiting in the car. If he wasn't waiting for me I might have stayed an extra two hours, one for feet and one for body. And I don't even like body massages. You could tell they care about their place. All the folks were so courteous. So hard to find a nice Asian place that you feel you can trust. Massage was decent and I really wanted to like this place but I was really turned off when they made me to tip them 40%. They coerced me to pay that amount or I couldn't leave or something. Me and my husband got $50 body & foot rub and they insisted me to pay $40 tip for our $100 total. Only rating one hour foot massage. Decided to go here as my other super cheap secret massage place was packed. Had a friend in town and after trekking to Flushing, you know I had to find a place for a massage. My friends got a body massage and seemed to be satisfied. However, when it finally came my time, an Asian guy (btw it is an Asian establishment) brought me the usual bucket of piping hot blue water to soak my feet in. Few minutes later, an Asian couple sat next to me and there was obviously shortage of staff as I had one of the last two that became available. Well can you believe the guy that brought me the bucket, just took my feet out, dried them, took the bucket away and flat left me?!!! For a good five minutes I was left alone, there was no communication from anyone as to who will massage my feet. Not a big deal UNTIL the guy that was supposed to massage my feet instead started the process on the female of the asian couple that had just arrived after me!!!! Can you believe it?! And the last available masseuse started on whom I presume was her beau! Wtf!!! So they totally skipped me because I am not Asian!!!! Wow! Then when I finally got someone, right from the start, I could tell I got a lazy one. When he started I looked at my watch to keep track of the time. 10 minutes before the end of my one hour foot massage, he got up to get hot towels and brought over hot towels for me and the asian couple sitting next to me, trying to kill time by pretending to help his coworkers so they don't waste time to get up themselves and bring their own hot towel for their clients. So remember the Asian couple next to me started their massage earlier than me as my original masseuse skipped me and started on them right? I waited five minutes right, with no masseuse in sight? Well my guy finished before the Asian couple's massage guys finished their round! Can you believe it???? The lady at the counter wouldn't hear me out when I tried to explain what happened but clearly she knew what happened and wrote an extra five minutes massage on a card for a future massage. Nice gesture but an apology verbally would have served me better as I am not going back. So what is the use of the extra five minutes? And if I may point out, she only did that when I mentioned yelp. Yes place is cheap but they do not take pride in massaging people's feet. From minute one until the very end, these massage guys talk loud in their own language and even when I tried to ssssh them, they carried on. It's more of a rubbing than a massage so don't have high expectations. My boyfriend and I came here with no expectations, and left perfectly content. As everyone says, this place looks run-down and suspicious from the outside. Once you go down the stairs and enter, it's still no luxurious spa, but it's clean (as far as I can tell). It took us about two minutes to go from standing outside to lying facedown on the massage table on a Saturday morning. I didn't call ahead so I hoped that getting there when it opened would help us avoid lines - and it did! $30 for an hour massage was a pretty good deal to me. I'm not a big fan of massages in general because I'd rather not have people causing me pain and being told it's "relaxing." However I appreciated that the masseuse asked what level I wanted (you can ask for light, medium, or hard). They're not messing around either; I was hurting within 5 minutes, and I was still sore the day after my massage! They also make sure to do the full body. Most of the hour was focused on my butt upwards, but she did some maneuvers with my legs later. The hot stone action was unexpected and pretty amazing. As for the establishment: Though the location is unimpressive from the outside, inside it is clean, with a calm atmosphere. The staff is friendly (despite the language barrier) and accommodating. Several seats for the foot massage (a popular item judging from the 5 or 6 people getting one) and a flat screen TV to watch while waiting (about 5 minutes). Truly NO-frills here. The massage "rooms"/tables are separated by curtains. The one-hour service (just $30!) provides an excellent massage (feet excluded) with some hot-stones thrown in at the end. Came here with a friend and parked in the huge municipal but there are better options such as plenty of street parking, the small parking lot by the LIRR station, or sky view mall (2 HR free). Like everyone said, it's a bit shady but walking in, I felt calm because it's not really dirty. The bathrooms have two stalls but it's unisex so don't be alarmed when a man enters. I called ahead and made reservations for two and asked for women. Once we got there, we had to wait 20minutes past our reserved time but really no big deal. And because there's no service, we connected to the WiFi. My friend and I got the "double" which also acts as a storage place. Once we got down to our undies the masseuses started over the towel massage and then started doing oils. It was a nice massage and I was so excited about the hot stones part and would go back just for that again! The price is totally worth it. 1 hour (either back or feet) is 30 and plus 10 for tips so a total of 40 for an hour of relaxation is totally worth it and the place is absolutely legit. Or you have can split up the 1 hour by doing 30 min of back massage and 30 min of feet massage. You have the option to choose a male or female and I personally prefer females not only because it's less awkward personally but also they are less powerful which I prefer. You will likely have to call in ahead of time (few hours before) to book an appointment so they save a spot for you because they can get very busy and you might have to wait for an hour or so for an open spot otherwise. Staff are very friendly and very cooperative on your needs, whether as to pressure adjustment etc... Very clean location as well. My wife and I came here as part of our trip to explore Flushing. Although the descent to the entrance did not inspire much confidence, once we stepped inside, we were pleasantly surprised. We came on a Saturday, the day after Christmas, around 12 PM and were served immediately. There were other people there, but they were well staffed, and got us set up with a room for two within two minutes of coming in (note: A number of other reviewers have recommended making reservations, so plan ahead accordingly). The massages were awesome. The staff were responsive, adjusting their massage style based on what each of us wanted. Although their English was somewhat limited, strategic grunting and pointing assisted in the process of communicating where there were trouble spots that might need some extra attention. A hot stone part of the massage was a nice touch to the hour-long bodywork we each had done. All in all, the massage set each of us back $30, with a $10 tip to each masseuse. I'm kind of glad they did since it can get full sometimes. I first went to this massage parlor since I beat up my body pretty badly after traveling in Europe for some months (and adding to some fairly serious pre-existing health problems). My chiropractor suggested I get massages. I scoffed at the idea, but the pain made me check it out. After some months of sessions (yes, it was that bad), I was finally pain-free and felt so rejuvenated. I have yet to have a truly bad massage here, with a guy or girl. Coco Spa is the Flushing counterpart of the very popular Renew Day Spa in Manhattan. When you walk in, it appears to be smaller but like Renew, very clean. It also looks newer. It is hard to judge the actual space because some people went up an elevator that opens right into the Spa and there seemed to be a good number of employees coming and going. If you don't know Flushing (that be me), be careful or like me you will go bananas tryiing to find 132-61 41st Avenue (which does not exist) until someone finally sends you another block over to 41st Road! Although it is $2 an hour cheaper for a one hour foot massage in Flushing ($20) than Manhattan, the quality is just about as good since some of the masseuses rotate between the two spas. As in Manhattan, be prepared to have a lack of personal space as the chairs are side by side. I have not had a full body massage here, but the reviews are encouraging! read more

Like the other reviews said, they moved, but the new location wasn't that hard to find. I went with three guys and two got two female masseuses (the only two left I think). I felt a little uncomfortable knowing I was going to be massaged by a guy, but the experience actually wasn't too awkward. I felt comfortable and the massage felt nice. There was one point in which I had to tell my masseuse to press a bit softer, but other than that everything was peachy. The next day I felt a little sore when I pressed certain points on my body, like my neck, which I told the guy to work on. It was my first time getting a massage so I don't know if that's normal. I was super confused when I first came in. I came early on a Sunday, barely anyone was there. I called in advance but I think you could just walk in as well. I like that you can choose whether or not you wanted male or female, I opted for female. I did a 60 min whole body + 30 min foot massage. My shoulders had a lot of tension and she definitely tried to rub out all the knots in my back. I'm a bit sore from it but I'm sure this will all fizzle out the next day. The foot massage was okay, I think I will just get the foot massage separate from the whole body next time. Total massage was $45 and I had to tip $15, recommended by the front desk woman. I've been to Coco Spa for both the full body and foot massages and the masseuses for both knew what they were doing. The massages are more deep-tissue, traditional Chinese tui-na massages, as opposed to Swedish massages, but they definitely get out any knots and pains you have. The prices also cannot be beat at $30 / hr for a full body massage and $20 / hr for a foot and lower leg massage. Generally, it seems like the masseuses are looking for a $10 tip but, even so, Coco Spa provides the best massage for one of the lowest prices I've seen in the area. They also take walk-ins without any issues. I took off one star because the décor and amenities are minimal (they have a TV in the main area where foot massages are done with Chinese TV shows playing) and, in the full body massage area, you can easily hear everything going on around you since areas are separated by curtains. If you are looking for a luxurious European spa experience with lots of extra amenities, this is not the place for you. BUT if you are just looking for a darn good deep-tissue massage at a simple and clean place for an excellent price, I would highly recommend Coco Spa. read more

I don't have a set schedule so I walked in at 11am on a Thursday. I wanted to see what their base line service was, so I went for the $30 body work for an hour. I was set up with Skye. My upper and lower back were killing me, but I just smiled at him and didn't say much else. Remember, I was out to judge the base line service. I cannot tell you how pleasant surprised I was. It started off the same compared to similar massage places, but once he really got to work, OMG. Skye really went after every knot and strained muscle. I will say the full body massage really focused on the back, and the pressure was super strong, which I prefer. This place has become a family destination. They are great here. We have been here about 5 times over the past 2 years and the massages and foot rubs never disappoint. We walk out of here floating on a cloud, not a tense bone or muscle in our bodies. This place is in the heart of flushing, a predominately Chinese neighborhood but the clientele is pretty mixed. I love that I am not the only outsider. Although it's located in a basement and may seem like one of those places that offer a happy ending there is a sign that states in bold large font "No Hanky Panky" which I found hilarious.
