Be ready to pay at least 35% tip regardless of the quality of service. There is one female therapist by the name of "bear mom" who will use absolutely force on your acupressure points. She thinks that's the right thing to do. Then, she will crack your bones without warning. She does not communicate with you regarding your preference, and has a condescending attitude. My body hurts even worse than before the treatment. Moreover, she is the one who burps in front of you during your session. So do not have her as your therapist if you want a relaxing massage. I had other therapists who have excellent techniques and are well mannered which I would give 4 stars. For this visit, I give zero star. Such a waste of money and time. Horrible, if i could give zero star rating I would. The masseur had obsession for massaging the area around and on thoracic, lumbar vertebrae, rotator cuff as well as the scapula and the iliac crest. I usually tough the pain out as some massage require toughness to ease the tenseness in the muscle but for this massage I couldn't tough it out. Told the masseur but he replied "I know" and kept hammering away in that same painful area due to his aggressive massaging. I though I was in chiropractic office rather than a massage parlor. I just happened to check my yelp app for a massage place nearby. That's how I found Glory Peak (called Xin Yi Xuan in Chinese) I have to say the price here is quite a good deal. The place is very clean & cozy. They have quite a custom approach on working with your body. I think my back was the body part that needs the most work at that time so my massasseuse was working on it through. My friend, on the other hand, had a shoulder issue and his massasseuse was working on it for a good 30 minutes. fyi. Get 1 hour for free if you buy 10 hours. I didn't buy it this time, but will buy it next time and share with my friend.Totally worth it! read more

I've been coming here for a while because of my mother, and ive done both body work and foot reflexology. Love this place. I always feel super loose afterwards and completely relaxed. Compared to other places, this place is definitely quieter and in a much more isolated place. But there are places to eat around the area which is a plus for anyone who feels hungry afterwards. The short hair woman (sorry I forgot her name)  was very professional and very good at what she does.  She was very receptive and strong, and applied pressure where it needed to. Came back again tonight. Ever since I got back from my long flight from hawaii, my lower back and shoulders have been sore and painful. It didn't go away after a few days and I decided to get a massage.  My masseuse tonight was Cherry (Sherry?) and she was phenomenal!!!! She shall be my masseuse from now on. I was dying for a massage since I had apparently been sleeping in a weird position that caused me to have a crick in my neck for 4 days. Given all the positive reviews here on Yelp, I had high expectations for my massage. It actually started off really well--my masseuse worked my neck and shoulders like I'd asked. But then she spent a lot of time on my back, with a LOT of pressure despite my asking her to go lighter. The next day, my upper back and neck felt sore when I touched it, like it was bruised, although it wasn't visibly so. Now I feel like I need a massage for the massage. I paid $40/hour plus $10 tip, but didn't get a negative reaction from the massage like Eric L. experienced. I was blown away by the level of service I got at this place.  The man who booked my appointment over the phone was very courteous and helpful.  I got an appointment 90 minutes in advance.  My masseuse was very professional and welcomed my request to focus on my neck area and guess what?  She did!  She not only did so, but she even managed to alleviate my whole body of tension and stress (it's been a while since I've had a massage).   She paid attention to the details of my spasms and knots and concentrated on working through them.  Did I mention it's only $30? for a hour ?  This will be my  new spot from now on.  I highly recommend this business. read more
