Worth the wait. I tried the sampler and got the coco shrimp, spicy, and sweet & spicy versions. The rice... Amazing. I'd eat that for lunch by itself with the dipping sauce. The shrimp, spot on...although i could have used more spice on the spicy... But then i eat jalapeños straight... So I am not always fair to judge spicy levels. The atmosphere though... That is what made me want to just stay there and talk with my family. The screens play surfing, cliff diving and wave videos. If you aren't "oooo!" - ing you are "ahh!" - ing. Must go for all coconut shrimp lovers! read more

Ahh I never liked coconut shrimp until now. I've tried most of their flavors but my fav is the sweet and spicy. It's like the Vietnamese sweet chili sauce. Their coconut shrimp is amazing! Juicy, hefty, and fresh tasty. I usually don't like coconut shrimp and the frozen boxes are worse. You gotta have them fresh. There's so much coconut flakes on these. That's what makes them stand out. I normally get the box meal, but today I had the shrimp tacos on a friend's recommendation. It's quite amazing! You don't get as much garlic rice with it though. There's just a little sprinkling of rice inside. Lots of lettuce topping. The tacos super good but I think I'll still get the rice box to get my rice I want. Or do what I do. Get both meals to satisfy my craving!! I'm sure the guy taking my order thought it was weird I ordered two meals to dine in by myself. Lol read more

This place is seriously one of the best shrimp in the area. I always take folks there when they come to visit. There are several new locations popping up and I am happy for them. I was not a fan of coconut so I did not like coconut shrimp until I ate it here. Their coconut shrimp is the only coconut shrimp that I eat. The garlic butter and spicy shrimp as good as well but the coco shrimp is my go to. The butter rice is fantastic and even better when you mix in the sweet chili dipping sauce! I cannot say enough good things about this place. read more

O my geez yalls i tried this with my sister and it made us cry, our mother started balling too. Theres so much food in the box and the shrimp are so big and delicious. 4 stars today for the experice, 3 stars for the coco taco. Ive had their coco shrimp plates before, they are delicious! Huge portion of rice and 6 shrimps. I do think they put way too much rice. They should really think about making the salad mac as a side. The coco taco was a no go for me. The first bite was good, and then it all went downhill. I think it was a mistake by the chef to be honest, but my cousin's taco shrimp was also as salty as mine. It was salty to the point it tasted like we were licking the salt rim of a margarita glass. I ended up taking the taco apart and threw away the taco shell but the saltiness was coming from the sauce, or they sprinkled way too much on it. Overall i would not order that again unless i get free avocado slices to balance out the saltiness. Stick with the plates. read more

Love Coco Shrimp, I now order the kids meal, 3 shrimp, smaller rice and salad size and a drink, all for $6!

The food is pretty great at Coco Shrimp. The service is as well! At least the drive-through was! Ambiance will have to be looked at should I have opportunity to return and actually get to go inside. The reason for the rating though, while the food is great, the ratio of shrimp to rice is not enough. Especially for the price you pay. I get shrimp is a fairly hot commodity, but it should not be an issue when the shrimp is in the name of the place. Definitely want to go back though! read more

I've been obsessed with Coco Shrimp since I first tried their food truck years ago. Although I live about an hour away, the trek is always worth it. So glad to see they've been expanding, hopefully there will be a location in Dallas in the future! I've tried all their shrimp flavors and my favorite is still the butter garlic shrimp plate. Nothing beats the butter soaked rice. It's the perfect meal IMO. read more

Tasty Shrimp, Friendly Staff, Inviting Atmosphere I always get the sampler with 3 Coconut (Coco), 2 Garlic Butter, and 2 Lemon Herb shrimp. The rice, with whatever they drizzle over the top, is ridiculous--can't get enough. I also enjoy their Hibiscus tea to drink! The staff is always friendly. read more

This place is surprisingly good, I wrongly assumed this just another trendy fast food restaurant, but it turned out to be great, they have multiple styles of breaded shrimp. Big juicy pieces of shrimp, coconut is my favorite. Delicious buttery rice that is so rich and decadent you'll feel guilty for the remainder of the day. The service is a little slow, but pleasant. The restaurant has a relaxed coastal feel. Bring your sweater ladies it's freezing in there! read more

Ordered 2 entrees, somehow from a place that literally sells shrimp and rice, I got a box full of rice only. Missing salad dressing on another order. Drove half hour back to get a "replacement" for the order that was messed up for my wife only to have to eat a now cold 2nd entrée myself. I usually try to withhold from negative comments if it's minor enough, but this was absolutely ridiculous. Normally love your food, and my wife raves about y'all all read more

I absolutely love Coco Shrimp!! Their service is always quick and friendly. Their food is always outstanding and so delicious!! The portions are more than generous for the price point, in fact, every time I've visited - I always take the box home and have a second meal. As someone who frequents Hawaii, I love that we have a little piece of the islands here in TX... They nail the vibes and ambience to a T! And the music is awesome too!! Go visit ASAP! read more

I'm rarely blown away by a restaurant. And yet here I am, blown away by Coco Shrimp! Great ambiance, great staff, fair prices, generous portions, and that's even before we get to the delicious food! Which was amazing. I had the Butter Garlic shrimp. The bed of rice on which the shrimp was served was uber-flavorful and had the perfect texture. The salad was crisp, fresh and the poppyseed dressing was delicious. Grow east to Dallas, Coco! I'd love to make this a regular place to go closer to my home! read more

We ordered food delivery from here last week, and I understand during delivery sometimes things may get cold or slightly soggy... But unfortunately the shrimp we ordered was undercooked. Absolutely amazing! We had the sampler, with fried 2 coconut shrimp, 2 butter garlic shrimp and the 3 sweet and spicy shrimp on top of this AMAZING butter garlic rice. Which also included a salad! First. Thank you for having reasonable proced seafood dishes that are delicious. You .87 cents for 2 tacos is such a great deal and you are not receiving a "cheap" shrimp taco, it is full of flavor and deliciousness ; Second Where the heck did you get that ginger dressing! You would think a salad is a saladbut this salad had bits of cranraison deliciousness with a beyond ginger dressing. So so good! Third The rice, I normally don't eat rice but this was too good to pass up. Sticky , Saucey and tender plus they did not scimp. The plates were for the hungry at a reasonable 11 to 12 dollars each You won't go hungry. Fourth Thank you for sticking to one thing and doing it spectacular! We had the sweet and spicy plate and the spicy plate and both were delicious. Thank you for your reasonable prices for people on a budget! Lastly Congrats to your team. They were pleasant and helpful. Keep up the good work read more

The Watauga Coco Shrimp location is wonderful! The coco tacos are a MUST. I had to try everything so i got one taco and a kids meal - it was the perfect amount of food for me! The kids meal comes with a choice of shrimp, rice, and salad. The poppyseed salad dressing is my favorite. The coco taco is a gift - perfectly balanced with sweet and spicy coco shrimp, cilantro, lettuce, a tiny bit of rice inside - just trust me, it's magic. Great vibe of this location. I loved all the plants and different colors. I'm hoping they continue to expand their menu items - more drink, dessert, and appetizer options would be amazing! read more

Where do I start? If you think the pics look good TRY THE FOOD!! My friends have been recommending this restaurant for weeks knowing I'm a foodie but the idea of shrimp, salad & rice just wasn't exciting me. The DEVIL IS A LIE! One day I was en route to go grab a healthy meal (a salad I really didn't want) & drove pass Co Co Shrimp. I immediately did a u turn & said "you know what GOD, imma give it a try & if it ain't good at least I can say it wasn't worth my coin".. IT WAS WORTH MY COIN ‼ I've been 2 days in a row & I feel like I'm going through withdraws... like I need to go again tomorrow because 3 is a holy number right? Oh & aside from the taste of the food, the portions, price, service & atmosphere of the restaurant deserves the 5 stars too! read more

OMG!!! It is a very good thing that I can only eat here when visiting my family in Texas, this place is SOOOOOO good! Their shrimp is cooked to perfection and this lemon herb shrimp was so fresh tasting. I could definitely taste the fresh lemon and herbs which added just the right flavoring to the rice below the shrimp. When you go there (and you definitely should, even if you have to drive a bit) don't let the presentation throw you. Your food will come to you (even in the restaurants) in a takeout box. You'll get your shrimp, rice, and a simple salad...and you WILL be full when you finish it. Eating here reminded me of eating fresh shrimp in Hawaii. read more

The food was cold when I received it. Then I go to eat it, I dip the shrimp in the sweet sauce and pull out a long brown hair. I tried another shrimp without sauce and pull out a blond ish hair out of my mouth. There are also two other hairs on the pineapple that are also short blondish hair. I normally get food from coco on Bryan Ave and not sure why this came from a different location. Not happy read more
