Amy was my hygienist and I absolutely loved her. She talked me through everything she was doing and what it was for. I had the most thorough dental exam I have ever had. I actually first visited Dr. Seely back in 2010 but my insurance changed and she wasn't covered. After many years, I finally got an insurance that she accepted and I went straight back to her. The office is small but in a great location at Preston and Forest. Everyone from the front office staff, dental assistant, dental hygienist and the dentist are great. The dental assistant did a great job cleaning my teeth. She always made sure I was comfortable and that she wasn't hurting me. The office manager went out of her way to verify my benefits to make sure I was covered. When Dr. Seely came to talk to me she just brightens up the room with her personality. A second opinion from another provider confirmed that the crown had been placed incorrectly and would need to be completely redone. I was forced to pay out-of-pocket for corrective care, including a new crown and additional treatment. What made this experience even worse was the dentist's behavior during the procedure. While working on my teeth, he repeatedly changed the music mid-treatment, checked stock prices on his computer, and at one point was shopping for a new dental chair on eBay. This was all happening while I was in the chair receiving care. In addition, he performed all parts of the visit himself--including the X-rays, cleaning, and crown work--with no hygienist present. Not only is this a red flag in terms of practice standards, but it also led to a rushed, chaotic, and impersonal experience that clearly compromised the quality of care. When I reached out to request reimbursement for the failed dental work, I was met with a dismissive and hostile email. Rather than take any accountability, He refused to engage in a professional resolution and instead told me I should "take it up with the dental board." The level of care and professionalism I received was entirely unacceptable. I am now in the process of filing a formal complaint with the state dental board. I strongly urge others to think twice before seeking treatment at this office. Dental work requires trust, skill, and focus--none of which I received here.
