My husband and I missed two office visits due to our child being in the neonatal ICU for several months, and then when we tried to reschedule, office staff obfuscated and said "no appointments were available". They were very dishonest and just no longer wanted us as clients, and I think that is both very unforgiving and unprofessional. Would not recommend this office. Although I think she is a great practitioner, I don't appreciate, that type of rigidity with life events. I don't believe this dentist would appreciate someone treating her that way either. Original scheduling was very difficult anyway due to not being called back in a timely manner, and having to repeatedly call to get the original appointment. read more

I am from the UK, and had the cliche horrible British teeth - and a mild phobia of the dentist ever since dealing with British NHS dentists who are forced to rush through and do as much as they can in about 15 minutes, overworked and unable to be as thorough as they should. I also had a tooth removed when much younger, the reason was never fully explained to me properly despite asking, and the dentist who did it made a lot of mistakes and I nearly had to go to hospital to get my sinus cavity fixed... (he is now struck off) so yes, I was not a fan of the dentist. On saying that, I have been seeing Cindy Phan since arriving in the USA 5 years ago. She has taken exceptional care of me, fixing up a lot of old issues and making me happy with my teeth again. She is very gentle, thorough, and explains things very well. She goes out of her way to make sure you are ok, and aren't hurting in any way. She takes such good care of her clients and is a very lovely person! After feeling high anxiety about going to the dentist, I now don't even feel nervous about going in, even if I know I am about to get a filling (which is getting rarer under her care!) and my teeth are (almost) as white and gorgeous as my American counterparts! read more

I went to dr. Phan as another dentist told me I needed about 1500 in work. I asked for recommendations on next door and dr. Phan stood out because she is very cautious to overly do work. The office is on the traffic circle in addison circle. There are two people who work there. Dr. Phan and the receptionist who is also the dental hygienist. In all the years I have had my check ups, no one ever measured my gums and explained it. Dr. Phan also evaluated if I had any anxiety about her in my mouth. She also gave me a mirror, after a very thorough exam and cleaning, to show me where there were concerns. She also showed me where she saw issues on the xray and told me what can wait to see and what, if anything, has to be done now. Where I have had other dentists try to milk you and your insurance out of every dime, dr. Phan is not like that. She is very knowledgeable and she is very cautious to your treatment and is not one to do work that is not warranted. She is also still old school. She uses a beeper and listens to classical music. Her office isnt the big shiny new, overly marketed sexy teeth kind of place with a bunch of bells and whistles. She is a thorough dentist. Simple. I would recommend her. read more

Yarp! I can officially exclaim that progressing through twenty-nine years of life on this planet, void of a single cavity, is now fact. This was my first visit to the office and I look forward to returning to see Dr. Phan! Wait, you're probably thinking, "this guy is psychotic" for being eager to see the Dentist. Well, lemme just tell you: Dr. Phan is a sweet, gentle lady. She took the time to go over my x-rays in detail, small talk and even explain my gum ratings (lots of 1s and 2s). She keeps a simple low key office in Addison Circle where the staff is always nice, the service is always prompt and I can always get the appointment I want without any hassle. Unlike other dentist offices where the techs do all the cleanings; Dr. Phan does all her own work. She isn't into ripping you off and performing unnecessary procedures like some dentists (Richard A. I cannot be more pleased with the service at Dr. Phan's office. As the other reviews claim, her office is no frills, but the service more than makes up for it. I never have to wait when I get in, I can easily schedule appts. and her technique/skills are awesome. I have had a cleaning there, which was gentle. When I had x-ray's done she told me where there were some spots to watch, but overall, only said I needed one filled. The previous dentist I went to last year told me I had 12 cavities that needed filling and just the upper right quadrant of my mouth would cost $800 (what a sham!). Later in the year, I accidentally chipped a tooth on a hard candy on a Sunday evening. By Monday morning the assistant called me, assessed the situation and offered varying solutions (and gave me an emergency number if I felt any extreme pain) until I could get an appointment. I wasn't in any pain at all, so there was no need for an immediate appt., but it was awesome to see how prompt and caring they were towards me. When I came in for my appointment she took care of the tooth, filled it and checked on the other teeth too. She was very gentle and other than pressure, no pain. It looks beautiful, by the way, can't even tell it was chipped, and a few hours later after the numbness has worn off, still no pain at all. Feels great! Couldn't be happier! I had my 18th tooth chipped few days ago, went to Brilliant Dental where they told me that I needed a Crown + a root canal, which totals to at least $1500+ without a root canal or $2800+ with a root canal. Then I came to Dr. Cindy this morning. She simply filled it for me and the whole bill was only $132. read more

I have been going here since 2013 - Dr. Phan is very nice and always takes time to explain everything that she is doing. A dentist who bases their treatment plan to meet your individual needs and not on the idea that they are financing a home remodel. IMPECCABLE CHAIR SIDE MANNER. QUALITY workmanship that is conservative (not aggressive). This is what you get with Dr. Phan. I also love that the office is in Addison Circle. FANCY EQUIPMENT DOES NOT MAKE A SUB PAR DENTIST EXCELLENT AND THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE AS WELL. There is so much competition in dentistry to set yourself apart that dentists pull out all the stops to entertain or distract their patients. After several visits I thought I had finally found my dentist. After I had to cancel my appointment due to a sudden illness not Covid related, I spoke with Dr. Cindy Phan to reschedule and she refused to schedule me another appointment and instead advised me to go somewhere else. I was so shocked and disappointed. She then had the nerve to say if there is anything else we can do to assist feel free to call back. That experience felt like it had a racist undertone. I am the nicest black man that you could ever meet, it takes a lot to get me bothered but this was a bad experience that I had to bring attention too. read more

You can't believe everything you read from Yelp. Because of the reviews, I made an appt with this dentist. My appt was set, and 3 days before my visit, something came up. I began calling the dentist office Monday (3 times) to reschedule, no answer. I called Tuesday, (at different times during the day) no answer. The most frustrating part was calling at 4:30, and getting a recording saying the office is closed at 5. So I ended up calling a different dentist whose office actually picked up for phone. But of course on Wednesday, I get a call from this office to confirm my appt. It felt good to tell them I had chosen another dentist and cancelled my appt. The front of the office is just as important as the dentist, so if staff isn't picking up the phones, that's not good for business. read more

Well this place is a joke. I was feeling excited about them based on all the good reviews on Yelp, but I am greatly disappointed. I called them asking for a consultation and she said they weren't accepting new patients until the end of the month. And then asked where I got my x-rays done...I never said anything about x-rays. After refusing me a consultation, she made me explain my situation over the phone to her and then interrupt me by telling me I need to see an oral surgeon. She then would not refer me to an oral surgeon on her list. Very rude customer service. read more

Dr. Phan is really sweet and very gentle with my teeth and gums! Her office is pretty basic, but the service you get is worth way more than a flat screen T.V. on the wall - or something to that effect. She doesn't make you feel bad about any problems with your teeth (some dentists have been quite rude in the past) and is extremely helpful about ways to solve any issues you may be experiencing. If you're looking for the hard-sell cosmetic dentist in a fancy office with a latte machine, this is probably not the place for you. If you want a great dentist who is ethical and honest and does excellent work, you've found your dentist. Dr. Phan has been my dentist for many years. I came to her after my current dentist stopped filing any insurance claims. I have a chipped front tooth that had been fixed at least 3 times, as I didn't want to have the tooth filed down for a cap. It was fixed about each year, and yes, it cost me each time. Dr. Phan fixed that tooth about 10 years ago and it has NEVER needed fixed again. When it eventually needs fixed, I will gladly have it done by her again because she does quality work and is not trying to turn you into a cosmetic dentistry revenue stream. Her office has a small staff, but they are personal, kind and welcoming. If you have kids, she is particularly good and gentle with them. She would be a great first dentist for any child. read more

I was encouraged by the good reviews about Cindy Phan's dental office. So I decided to pick her office due to my dental emergency. I am visiting my daughter here in Addison and my front tooth cap fell off. I went to Cindy Phan's ofc and asked receptionist Monica for help to get my cap reattached. She said she cannot oz they dont accept DHMO. I told her I have PPO. I asked her to call my Cigna Insurance but wont even accept my explanation. After trying to convince her that I talked to Cigna already, only then she agreed to call CIGNA and scheduling me the next day. She gave me a form and had me fill out my personal info including my Social Security number. Instead of just calling Cigna right away to verify my coverage, why give out of towners like me from San Francisco a hard time to get my dental emergency addressed.I am really disappointed. read more

Called Dr. Phan's office with an emergency fractured a close to front tooth. I'd read her reviews and she was in my neighborhood of Addison. Was so impressed with Veronica who answered the phone and even though Dr. Phan was booked solid. Veronica booked me during the office lunch hour!! I offered to bring lunch, they just laughed and said--no need. How sweet these lovely people are. I'd seen another dentist in town who was insensitive, rude, cold, and wanted a ton of money to tell me nothing could be done right then and the office closed in 30 minutes!! Won't mention her name!! Dr. Phan was gracious, knowledgeable, quick, to the point, lovely, wise and gave a cautious but smart warning after she had fixed my tooth! Stay away from caramel! The price was more than reasonable, whereas the other dentist only interest was to "sell a case" for a ton more money! I have some pretty severe dental anxiety. Dr. Phan explained everything in detail and took the time to guide me through what she was going to be doing. Moreover, she was extremely quick and gentle. Her office is definitely no frills, but her patience and the patience of Veronica her assistant is amazing. They are also very sweet and timely. After seeing the fantastic Yelp reviews, I decided to give Dr. Phan a try. Coming from a very modern, but slightly suspicious, previous dental practice, Dr. Phan's dental services are reminiscent of eras gone by - in the best way. While not technologically advanced (they don't even have internet service, so I couldn't forward digital copies of my x-rays), Dr. Phan's beside manner is indeed impeccable. She talks you through every procedure in detail, explains her reasoning, is very careful to make sure you're comfortable, and yes - she does all her own cleaning! She also pointed out that my recent fillings (performed by previous dentist and first I'd ever had in my life) looked very superficial and prophylactic. I appreciate the excellent patient-doctor experience I had with Dr. Phan and will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

In 2011, one of my crowns fell off. I delayed seeing a dentist to have it placed back on. After six weeks, I went to my regular dentist who couldn't put the crown back on then advised me that a root canal might be necessary - in which case she would refer me to a specialist (upward cost of $3,000 for new crown and root canal). Two days later I obtained a second opinion who said a new crown would be necessary - and the tooth next to it also needed a new crown... total cost ~$4,000. The following week I went to see Dr. Phan, she replaced my crown (it took some work) and double checked my x-rays twice to be sure that I would not need a root canal - after all I was NOT in pain. My total bill with Dr. Phan was just under $150. It is now 5 years later, and Dr. Phan's repair of my crown is doing very well - no problems whatsoever and no indication that I need a root canal. Some dentists are just very aggressive treaters - Dr. Phan is not. I have been a satisfied patient for 5 years. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Phan for about 10 yrs or more. I originally started going to her because I lived in Addison. Years later I moved to N. Plano and now I live in Frisco, and I will never go to another dentist as long as Dr. Phan is practicing. As the other reviews state her office is a no frills kind of place, no hanging TV's or beverages in the waiting area, but none of those things matter when you see the quality of work you're getting. Simply put she is an amazing dentist! I have had 2 cleanings a year every year and a crown in the past decade. She has never tried to upsell or recommend work that wasn't needed. She is all about prevention and takes the time to talk to you and listen to any concerns. The cleanings I get have always been done by her and have always been amazing and never rushed. Her chair side manner is something you don't see anymore. She devotes the entire appointment to you, unlike many others in the medical industry. When I recommend her to friends and coworkers, they look at me like I'm crazy because I actually like going to see my dentist. I can't recommend Dr. Phan enough. If you are on the fence just go once and you'll see what we are all raving about. read more

Dr. Phan is the greatest Dentist I've ever had in my life and she has a great staff and location in the Addison Circle. I've had multiple cleanings there for the past several years and her quality of customer service and smooth impeccable techniques make for a very positive and relaxed environment which is unusual for a Dentistry. The office is well laid out and modern and is hidden away in the Addison Circle. Dr. Phan is very friendly and accommodating, and knows her field incredibly well. When I arrived today I was over-heated from the humidity outside so she brought an electric fan over and placed it by my side to keep me cool the whole appointment. Very thoughtful, caring and conversational, and I recommend her to everyone whether you live around Addison or not. It's worth the time to make an appointment with her and consider her to be your primary Dentist from now on. No previous Dentist has ever made going to the Dentist such a pleasant experience as she does, so do yourself a favor and schedule your next dental visit with Dr Phan.
