Before coming to this place, I searched the reviews. This was one of the top with great reviews and I'm not surprised. When I first drove to this place, the location was in a "strip mall," that looks run down, so I was a little skeptical if I was in the right spot or not. I walked in, the room is small and dark, BUT it smells GREAT. Smelt very clean and WAS clean. The ladies that work there are nice and very informative. When it was my time to get called in, I went to a room, which had a TV for you to watch (which made time go by faster). The girl that helped me seemed around my age (in her 20's) and was nice. I was a little nervous, since it'd been years since I went to a dentist and I expected the worse (as far as information about my teeth.) My first visit, Dr. J came in and did my teeth cleaning, and fillings, etc. She does it HERSELF which I liked a lot. She's very professional, and I can tolerate pain a bit more than others but she always made sure if I was okay. Her numbing cream- boy that thing numbs! Next week prior, I came in again and she did the other side. Great staff and my mouth feels clean. I just wish her other doctor (who does wisdom tooth removal) accepted my insurance. But other than that there's always next year (which is in 4 months)! OVERALL, I was surprised my teeth weren't "horribly" bad to the point where serious care was needed. She made me feel at ease and I didn't feel embarrassed. She made me feel as if my teeth were "acceptable" when I knew, myself, they needed to be taken care of much better. With the help of her tools, and NOW my religious brushing habits, I feel confident my teeth will be better in the future! read more

It would be hard for me to guarantee that this might be the best dentist ever (He sure is close) . One thing is for sure you will never find a more attentative , caring and thourough doctor than Dr. Vu. Planning on bringing the whole family over. Been going to Dr Vu for the last year, and he is a great dentist. He is verry nice and explained to me how to better take care of my teeth. He spotted a dark formation on one of my molars and he told me to pay attention to that area and it has gotten better. His staff are nice too. Dr Vu bought the practice from Dr Vu more than a year ago And it looks like they are all settled in! read more

Very clean, professional dental office. I've had great dental experiences and terrible ones and Dr. Vu certainly rates at the top. He works hard to meet YOUR needs from scheduling to comfort level to financial arrangements. My procedure was very intricate and required expertise to be successful. (I was having an implant very close to my sinus cavities, so the placement was very precise.) In addition to a successful procedure, Dr. Vu knew I was nervous about pain, so he made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Vu. From braces as a teenager to getting older, I have NEVER enjoyed the dentist. But I think I may have fallen asleep during my most recent crown visit. Dr. Vu and his staff are excellent. Not only does he do a good job at...well...his job...but he remembers personal details about his patients and makes you feel like you are part of the "family". Not at all happy with this new dentist I loved dr J she was very good and quick. I thought I would give the new dentist a chance, my appointment was at 3:30pm, my husband and I got to the office around 3:15pm. My husband has never had to pay for X-rays but they said he has to pay $50 up front. We waited till 4:15pm when they brought me back and my husband waited till 4:45pm. The hygienist Jan and dr vu were nice but the wait was way too long especially since we had things to do. Also they seemed to have lost my husbands X-rays, they spent another 10-15 min trying to find that, while we sat there not sure what was going on. read more

OMG! I cannot believe I'm giving a positive review to a dentist. I used to love going to the dentist until I had a few horrible experiences both with a dentist and a couple hygetists. I ended breaking a tooth and had to go in to get it fixed. Normally the thought of going to a dentist sends me in a panic attack mode. I called around and this office was one of the few who actually returned my call. While there, the dentist explained in detail, which I appreciate, of what happened and what needed to be done. I agreed because it had to be fixed. They were very kind and understanding to my emotional scaring and assisted in any way they could to help me through the procedure. They had a different tubing for the gas so that was comforting. Sounds weird but the plastic tube smell is part of of the conditioned response in sending me into a panic attack. They were kind enough to place headphones on my head and I was able to control the volume on the TV to block out any drill noise. Another conditioned response. Dr. J was very gentle. I barely noticed any pressure being placed on my mouth. I was surprised how quickly she worked. When it was done, she had me test the leveling of her work. Then explained to me what she did and saw. And wanted me to come in for regular cleanings - in which she does herself. I was amazed! I could not believe I survived...and with no panic attack. It was definitely a God thing. ;) The process convinced me to try cleanings again. If you are looking for a dentist that is really awesome. I highly recommend Dr. J. She is thorough and gentle. You know that amazing feeling after you have a good dental cleaning? Well, it's actually hard to find a doctor who does that thorough of a cleaning. After leaving the DFW area, I soon realised that finding a competent dentist would turn into a nightmare. On a trip back to Dallas I visited Dr. J for a checkup. Finally! I got that amazing cleaning I had been hoping for! My schedule became routine, every six months I would fly in to Dallas to see family and to see Dr. J. Love the staff here and Dr. Vu! I get anxiety when I go to dentist to have dental work done. Dr. Vu was so great that I had no issues with anxiety and he made sure that I was comfortable. He explains what he will be doing and go over and questions or concerns you may have and is personable. Always ask how your doing and if all is well. Luna that works up front was great with assisting in the insurance and getting my cost and helps get the best deal. I will not see another dentist as long as he is around. read more

Don't use these reviews! Dr. J is no longer at Prima Dental and the new guy over charges. My wife and I NEVER had to pay a co pay when Dr. J was there, but the new guy wants $50 to $60 up front. Like a lot of people, I was not a fan of going to the dentist. That changed with Dr. J - they don't come any better. She does the work herself, is personable, let's you know what is going on and what to expect, and has just the right "touch" - her skills put her at the top of her profession.
