I did a Yelp search for salons near my home and this one came up. I don't get much time off work, so I was hoping they would be able to fit me in for a color and cut today. They got me in within an hour of calling. Granted, it was a weekday afternoon, but I was very pleased that they were that efficient. I have lived in Cincinnati for about 8 months now and haven't been able to find someone to cut my hair that I've been completely impressed with- until now. April was very friendly and finally did something with my long grown out bangs that I asked two hairstylists before her to do something with and they didn't. She combined hair colors to make a unique color for me, which I'm completely in love with. The salon is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Colleen did my cut & color, she is so warm & I felt welcomed by their expert staff. The results were gorgeous & transforming. I walked in after a stylist from another salon just about ruined my hair. It was yellow, orange, with some blonde, and very patchy. It required a major color correction and I have never been so desperate (I take pride in my hair). I can tell you that Sherry not only fixed it, but gave me exacty what I originally wanted from the other stylist in less than half the time, and even curled it. I got referred by a friend for a baylayage to Cassie. Right off the bat, Cassie was so friendly. It was like talking to an old friend. Cassie also knows what she's doing when it comes to hair! She gave me the perfect summer baylayage. I love it! After my first appointment, she gave me her business card with her cell phone and told me to contact her at anytime. A couple of days passed and I decided to text her and tell her that I would like to have my hair toned again. I was going from such a dark brown to blonde that it was inevitable that my hair would not be the perfect blonde that I desired. Cassie fit me in right away, and toned my hair for no charge. We LOVE Cassie Serriano! My boyfriend started going to her and now I do too. I had never found a hairstylist that I loved so I tried his. Now I'm sold. I like to change up my style quite a bit and Cassie is always game to give me something cute. I always get great haircuts and this time I tried balayage with the CUTEST haircut. She did a great job making it look super natural and blend perfectly and believe me I've gotten some bad balayages and ombres before coming to Cassie. And did I mention how fun she is?! i was there for the Grand Opening on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2003. I did not show up with a plume in my hair, but I am not a bum, either - to put it mildly. As I was enjoying a couple of the delicious snacks, I looked around expectantly (and obviously) for somebody on staff to introduce themselves and extend a welcome - or an explanation of services and products - anything. From the time my sister and I walked toward the shop from the parking lot, we were given several once-overs, but not smiled at or greeted in any way, either by the people who were partying on the sidewalk, nor by anybody walking around the rooms inside who obviously were employees. My sister and I both felt completely ignored. The party planners should have invested about $.50 in name tags, had each employee wear them to indicate that they worked there, and charged those employees to conduct introductory conversations with the potential clients who would ultimately be the backbone of their new business. I wanted to like the place, and understand that this business is a dream-come-true conquest for the owner, but the icy non-welcome made me wonder if they could possibly be successful. I plan on scheduling a service anyway. Maybe this was just a fluke indicating jitters by the staff. I hope so! read more
