The restaurant is stunning--the entire space is designed to feel like you're wandering through a rustic Mexican village, complete with beautiful trees throughout the dining room that are wrapped in twinkling lights. The atmosphere alone makes it worth a visit, and the live mariachi band was the perfect finishing touch without overpowering the conversation. The food was just as impressive as the ambiance. We started with the Queso Fundido Skillet, which was rich, cheesy, and disappeared from the table almost immediately. For drinks, I tried both the frozen peach margarita and the passion fruit margarita on the rocks, and both were fantastic. The peach was refreshing and perfectly blended, while the passion fruit had a great balance of sweetness and citrus. My dad loved his watermelon margaritas as well. For dinner, I ordered the chicken enchiladas, which were flavorful, comforting, and cooked perfectly. My dad had the shrimp enchiladas and couldn't stop talking about how good they were. My husband ordered the chicken skillet along with a shrimp taco and a fish taco, and every bite was a hit. It's rare for every single dish at the table to impress, but Mesita pulled it off. Of course, we couldn't leave without dessert, and the churros were the perfect ending to an incredible meal--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served warm. The service was friendly, attentive, and helped make the entire experience even better. Between the gorgeous atmosphere, delicious food, excellent cocktails, live entertainment, and outstanding service, Mesita delivered on every level. This is the kind of place you go for a special night out but end up wanting to return to again and again. I can't wait to come back and work my way through the rest of the menu.

I came here with my father and cousin on a Saturday night and the place was pleasantly busy, but we were able to find parking and a table. I don't like to say "plenty of tables" to indicate it was empty. We got there super early, like 6pm and by the time we left, it was busier. I'd eaten a late lunch and wasn't particularly hungry, so I just ordered some tableside guac. My cousin can't handle spice at all (annoying. I say this with love. She's 22 so she has time to grow into it), so when asked about spice level, I sadly replied the dreaded "mild." You know what? It was still really freaking good. I suspect quality ingredients are at play. I also had a glass or two of white wine and these are generous pours, friends. The menu is priced extremely fairly in these tough times. There's not many vegan options on the menu (plenty of vegetarian) however I'm pretty sure I can cobble something decent together when I return. And I say that with certainty because my father had been here only two weeks prior and couldn't stop talking about the tortilla soup, which ordered and devoured again. He's not easy to please either. Glad to have another restaurant on our roster because we eat out a lot!

My daughter came home from college with exactly one craving: a full-on seafood boil. No hesitation…read moreshe had her sights set on Voodoo Crab and their $17 lunch special, and honestly... she knew what she was doing. We got there right at noon and quickly realized we weren't the only ones in on the secret. Within minutes, the place filled up with hungry diners ready to dig in. We both went for the lunch special (because how could you not?). I ordered the shrimp & mussels, and my daughter went with crab & shrimp. Everything arrived in that classic messy-in-the-best-way seafood boil bag, drenched in that rich, buttery, seasoned sauce that you just have to mop up. The deal also comes with an appetizer and a drink, which makes it feel like an absolute steal. The shrimp were a little stubborn to peel but let's be real, that's part of the seafood boil experience. Nothing was slowing us down. The vibe was lively, energetic, and a little chaotic in that fun, "everyone's here to eat" kind of way. Service was solid and kept things moving even as the place packed out. If you're craving seafood without breaking the bank, this lunch special is 100% worth the trip. My daughter left happy and that alone makes it a win.

10/10 EXPERIENCE! I…read morecame here to celebrate my mother's birthday, and we had such a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff was so nice, welcoming, and accommodating. We felt right at home! I ordered the passion fruit martini, and my boyfriend had the rum punch. Both were delicious and nice and strong! I especially loved that the rum punch had Wray & Nephew in it -- now THAT is the real Caribbean touch! For food, I had the Rasta pasta, and it was delicious! I'm not a huge fan of overly spicy food, so the heat level was just right for me. My boyfriend had the jerk chicken, my father had the fried chicken, my mother had the Haitian pork, and my sister had the chow mein. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but let me tell you... THE CORNBREAD WAS THE STAR OF THE SHOW! I could honestly go back and order a whole 10 pieces by myself! As a Jamaican, I absolutely loved the vibes in this place. The music was on point, with old-school reggae that we all know and love playing in the background. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and the hospitality made this such a great place to celebrate with family. I would DEFINITELY come back! Great food, great drinks, great music, and amazing vibes. If you're looking for a spot with that Caribbean feel, this is definitely worth checking out!

The fritterssss OMG idk how they get it sooo crispy on the outside and then legit melt in your mouth when you bite in . Not doughyyy . You get all the fish. Delicious. Not to mention the green sauce it comes with . Great addition . I was not expecting it to taste this good (PS. It says It has scotch bonnet it but I don't taste it aka it's not spicy) The wingssss... sheesh the jerk! For my caribbeans it's real jerk don't worry! Island BBQ is sooo good. My daughter tore that up so kid friendly for the picky eating youngins The catch of the day ..snapper. Again balanced with a perfect crunch and yet a delicate flake Short Ribs had great flavor. And very tender. I was so full I didn't finish it . When I went to reheat it the next day. I poured that gravy over it and it was just as delish I'm back now for ALL DAY SUNDAY BRUNCH Shannon's my server and she was super attentive and helpful! Came back for the fritters! Don't know how it was even better but it was ! Grits (a lil salty) but for one who usually has to ask for salt/pepper/butter/cheese to make it taste how I want...I will say I needed nothing extra Chicken and waffles ...you guessed it crunchy on the outside and perfect on the inside . They master the art of texture! And these wings were hugeee . Overall. You won't leave disappointed . Great music, but still a calm chill atmosphere . It's not loud so you don't have to worry about yelling across the table. Open kitchen so you can see the chefs at work . Four tvs for sports games. About 5 seats at the bar. See you soon
