This was too sweet for me but I loved the chunks of blueberry! I went back a few days later because I left my water bottle here. Since I was there, I snatched up the chocolate chip cookie. I drove from Los Angeles to try these cookies after hearing great things. The smell of their fresh baked cookies is intoxicating and you can legitimately smell it from down the street. When my husband and I came in there was just one younger individual working behind the case. It wasn't stellar, above-and-beyond customer service, but he was respectful, and it was fine, but I always do appreciate a bit more warmth and care. We ordered three cookies ( the chocolate chip, the french toast, and the vegan salt and coco brownie). The French toast was our favorite. It was perfectly balanced between crispy and chewy, and the marshmallow was a lovely addition. The chocolate chip cookie here is also super solid. It was gooey and warm. Ours was slightly underbaked, but the flavor was delicious. The vegan salt and coco brownie for sure has potential. Even though it's vegan, it has a buttery taste that was delightful. Unfortunately, the cookie we got was not very fresh and had a slight staleness to it. If it was fresh, I think we would've loved it. All-in-all these cookies are really good! Although delicious and amazing staff, they are constantly running way too low of inventory and options. They have a board with probably 30+ flavors but you'd be lucky to pick from 4-5 options each day. It's unfortunate because even days like today when i showed up at 1:15pm in a Saturday, there were 4 options to choose from and 3 more options that were "out of stock at the moment." You just can't advertise that you have so many flavors for people to deal with normal heights parking and then get to choose from 3-4 flavor options. Chocolate lovers rejoice! Coco & Jules is finally open in Normal Heights. I have been eagerly awaiting its grand opening. It opened in late August 2024 when I was in vacation so I was glad to see it opened when I came home. I visited the shop mid week and was really surprised that most of the flavors were gone so early in the day at 3:15 pm. Apparently multiple people came in for party boxes and got tons of cookies. If you wanted to sample multiple cookies, get there early or you run the risk of your flavor being gone. They open every day except Tuesday at 12 noon. I got the Dark Chocolate Chip and Salt & Coco Brownie. Both are extremely rich in flavor. The cookies are on the softer side but still have good texture. They are not thick and chewy where you struggle to eat them. They kind of melt in your mouth. You only need one to satisfy your sweet tooth. The dark chocolate chip wasn't too overwhelming with bitterness that you can get from a dark chocolate cookie. The oatmeal was a nice addition. Really liked it. But the Salt & Coco Brownie cookie was fantastic. I normally do not like salt on my cookies but it was very subtle and brought out the flavors beautifully. Nicely done. They don't have space for any interior seating. They only have two small tables outside for patrons to enjoy their treats. But the decor is stunning with black paneling and glass chandelier lights. I chatted with Cory (Corey sp?), one half of Coco & Jules. He owns the shop with his mom, Julie. He was very welcoming and kind. He shared that everything is gluten free and nut free.
