We tried this place recently on a grocery trip to Boardman. We almost left because of a kids birthday party that was going on. It was packed. My kids could play in the play area because the party was going on. It was loud and we weren't sure we were going to stay. Then the waitress comes over and was a total ditz. We thought this experience wasn't going to end well. Then like a prayer answered from God we got a new waitress and she was wonderful. We got our food fast and hot. It is in the top 10 of best pizza we have tried. We loved it. The pepperoni roll was "ehh" ok. It was really greasy. But the pizza was awesome. We just got plain square. We can't wait to go back. someone gave me a gift card from here. When I went to use it to pay for the order, there was much confusion (Boardman location). I had to wait 10 minutes while the young man called another location as the stores are " not tied together" .. his words, not mine. We have long been patrons to Cocca's Pizza, Boardman, Ohio on Market Street; no longer. A long story short? They told us that we didn't order a 2 liter of Pepsi that we did, in fact, order. The driver then called his manager and the manager refused to give us what we paid for. We were asked to pay for it if we wanted it, and on top of that? The price given to us was the price including the Pepsi that the man read us back, initially, on the phone, but apparently "wasn't on the slip." The call recorder on our cell phone saved us here; even though the manager said he would pay for it out of his own pocket since "they have a very strict policy about giving things away that people don't actually buy" we played the recording of his worker reading us back our order, Pepsi included, and the total in which we were charged at the door by the delivery boy who did not arrive with said Pepsi. Needless to say, the employees looked incredibly dumb. I do not recommend this location to anyone who wishes to deal with honesty and a professional, customer serving staff. You won't find that to be a part of your order, here. P.S.-- we did receive that Pepsi after the headache above, a trip in the rain to the establishment, and a playback of our recorded call. Manager Sean was pompous and in the wrong for how he handled this situation. It was rewarding to see the smug look wiped from his face as he was embarrassed in front of his crew after hearing that recording. Love cocca's pizza! They have wonderful boneless wings, pepperoni rolls, salads, chicken wraps, and even more! My only complaint I can say is that we sometimes order the 12" pizza special on tuesday nights, everytime it's delivered it is never cooked all the way through. Just enough the crust looks done and cheese is melted. We always continue to order because the food is always good, always on time, and the family that owns it is wonderful. The food is pretty good here but the service; not so much. My grandparents normally get their sausage pizza and it's tasty. We ordered a pepperoni roll and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. My boyfriend ordered the sandwich when there was 12 minutes left on the roni roll. The cashier and cook said it would be 6 minutes to make. He waiting around for an additional 20 min. She told him twice it's coming right out with 10 minute intervals (... really?!). Well... don't get a pepperoni roll when they're on special. My family and I have been regular delivery customers from here, including using them for my daughters school parties. Everything was fine up until recently. We usually order online so I ordered last night as usual. A white pizza with banana peppers, large fry, and a chef salad. Everything gets here at a decent time a little after 10. We open the pizza box and its red sauce with banana peppers, not to sound like a brat but just wasnt what we ordered. I call back and am told that "they put it in the system wrong and that they will make a new pizza and itll be at my house in about 20mins or sooner" cool no problem. 11:15pm rolls around and obviously I'm a little annoyed because now at this point it's been over 2hrs for food. I call back and someone answers I explain that I still havent received my order and that it's now going on 2hrs since I first ordered my food. Given I was a little pissy about it, the kid who answered hit the click button. My phone disconnects and I call back livid. He says that he put me on hold, I told him for starters if you put a customer on hold you let them KNOW your putting them on hold and second my line wouldnt of disconnected if I had just been "put on hold" and that I'd like to speak to whoever was above him etc. He then put the phone down and continued to say "some lady is just going on and on and on. Real professional right? Then I proceed to talk to whoever is the manager on duty. I'm told that the pizza was made but that everyone left and he had no idea where it was to go. What a joke. Told me I could receive a credit. Absolutely not. Was told I would RECEIVE a phone call from the store manager in the morning. Yeah that never happened. I had to call today. The manager Steve didnt ask what happened, didnt really seem to care either. He asked for my card number told me its be back on in a few days and that "sorry that happened" what a joke. A bunch of unprofessional people which is a shame cause really it was a simple mess up that could of been corrected. Such terrible customer service. Superbowl Sunday! Great day to get pizza and wings. I figured everyone would also have the same idea so I placed my order 4 hrs in advance with a pick up time of 6pm. I got there promptly at 6 and didn't get acknowledged till 6:10pm. Not too big of a deal I understand they were busy. The blonde girl working went to locate my order and retrieved my order from the top of the oven and placed it on the counter between the oven area and the cashier area. She then went to get my wings which were not ready. At this point I was a little annoyed because whats the point of placing an order 4 hrs earlier if its not going to be ready. Then instead of informing me of a time she just walked away where she then wandered around the store for the next 20 minutes accomplishing nothing. So my pizza was left on the counter away from the oven where it began to get cold and then 20 minutes later my wing order emerged. I understand its superbowl sunday, I understand you're busy, but what I don't understand is the disregard for customer service when an order is placed 4 hrs in advance, my pizza was left to get cold on the counter instead of replacing it on the oven, I wasn't informed of a wait time for my wings which should have been ready and the blonde helping me appeared to be lost at work in the chaos. Also, the manager at the cash register appeared to obe lost using it and wasn't managing anything. Overall my pizza was good, but would've been better warm, and the customer service could've been better. I would order from the Poland location again but never again on a busy day. read more

We ordered their pepperoni rolls for Black Friday because they had a special. While they were big, they had like two pieces of pepperoni in them. I would have rather had a smaller pepperoni roll with more meat in it than a big loaf of bread. Had to throw half of it out. Don't waste your money, go to Italian Pizza Village. Last night our Mentor Lake Catholic football team played at Cardinal Mooney. We were told to call Nick and he would take care of us...AND HE DID!!! He suggested the pepperoni rolls and what a great choice! We ordered 100 of them and they were fresh, hot and just truly amazing! Oh, and he even wrapped them all individually for me!!! They delivered on time and gave us a great deal!! Honestly, we could not be any happier and the boys and coaches LOVED them! We tried their regular crust plain pizza. I honestly think it is the worst Pizza I've had. It is all soft raised dough with little in the way of cheese or sauce. More like a basted bread dough ball. Hopefully other items on their extensive menu are better. read more

Not impressed what-so-ever. After working with the owner Steve Cocca at a local benefit, I thought he really was a down-to-earth guy who truly supported the people in his community. However, since that, I have no respect for the man. The pizza isn't my personal favorite. It's decent don't get me wrong, but it's not the best pizza out there in Youngstown and it tastes too similar to other near-by places. Whoever says it's the best needs to experience the many other wonderful places in this valley. I am totally shocked so many think this is the best pizza since sliced bread. The biggest problem is the service and management at Cocca's. This is coming from a customer and resident of the area. My co-workers and I purchased pizza from here for a class. As soon as I walked into the Boardman location, I was never greeted and some frustrated (at noon I came in) younger employee came up to the counter asking what we wanted. We then said. "we have a question.". He then said to us "well do you just have a question or are you going to buy anything?" in a real sarcastic tone. The whole time, Steve Cocca, Mr. Mahoning Valley, was standing right behind the man during this transaction. The man said "just hold on" in a real nasty tone and then another person came to the counter and said what we wanted. We finally told this person our order and then got our order. For two sheets and a personal pizza, our order was close to $40 which I found absolutely ridiculous. I didn't realize they put gold on the pizza. We placed the order a day before and picked it up the next day and the order was completely wrong but we just dealt with it knowing we probably wouldn't get a refund or a corrected order since Steve Cocca himself was watching his lovely employees the whole time we were there and apparently that customer service isn't an issue to the man. Shame on you Steve Cocca. You are clearly no philanthropist. read more

My husband and I always order from Cocca's and it's generally good food. Today we ordered hot wings and fries. The "hot" wings were more like habanero and inedible because of the over extreme heat. We eat hot wings all of the time and have never experienced a buffalo sauce this spicy. It burned out mouths, chests, and made our eyes water. The fries were over salted and were stale. They had been refried. We called the restaurant to get replacements and the manager, Steve was not accommodating. At first they were going to make us purchase the food again. My husband had to argue with the manager over the phone for the food to be replaced without charge. We dine out frequently and are accustomed to many establishments who will replace a bad meal without hesitation. When you pay almost $10 for a dozen wings, the order should be satisfying. As much money as we've spent at Cocca's over the years, I am apprehensive about dining again. It's unfortunate that customer service is subpar. read more

i live in kittanning,pa.and i travel to ohio frequently on weekends and have wanted to try this pizza for quite some time.finally on sunday 7/09/2017 i thought i would take the time to stop around 2:00 p.m. i went in and told the cashier that this was my first time visit.after checking out the menu i ordered a traditional 12" pizza with pepperoni and lots of extra sauce.i placed my money on counter and went outside to wait for my order.cashier brought out my pizza and said thanks.never got my change,no napkins and after i waited for this to cool down,i grabbed a piece and started to eat.i discovered not only that i didn't get extra sauce but there was barely two tablespoons of sauce on entire pizza.well i got to try this but never again.very disappointed. read more

I have been eating Cocca's Pizza since they opened their first store a block from my childhood home in the early 80's. I even went to school with the Cocca kids. Every time I come back (over five years this time) i go out of my way to grab a pie. My first impression was that they really never intend on fixing the parking lot. Then I saw what was across Market street. You can imagine my shock and amazement to learn they moved into a very nice restaurant complete with a full bar. They even have beers I would drink! There was an army of employees and I was seated in a nice dining area. This place used to be New York Music, now it's a pizza paradise. I was afraid that too much success would have ruined the quality, but this is still THE ABSOLUTE BEST pizza I have ever tasted. I've been all over the world and even used to live in Italy, but no one can create a gooey cheesy puffy pizza like Cocca's. The sauce is perfect and the crust has an unbeatable crunch. Good for the Cocca family for their success. Now, please open a store in DC so I can get my fix more often than every 5 years! read more
