I did not order ahead, I placed my order in store to get the hottest possible pizza, and I ended up ordering 3 small pies to try some different slices. I ordered two small cheese pizzas, one with mozzarella cheese and the other with Romano cheese, and the third pizza was a deluxe. To begin, I really enjoyed the Romano cheese pizza. The Romano cheese has a sharp flavor, but it doesn't over power the sauce in anyway. The sauce was sweet, tangy, and really shined with the Romano. Most important, it wasn't greasy. The mozzarella cheese pizza was good, but the thicker cheese reduced the sauce flavor a bit, still good, and with all of the pies, the crust is a very light and airy crust which is pleasant to eat. Lastly, for the deluxe, I could have done without that. It was greasy, heavy, but my biggest issue, you can tell some of the toppings came right from a can. Overall, 3.5/5 for me at this pizzeria. I'd come back again, however, I'd stick with the cheese Romano pizza.

At this point I'd rather eat the Chuck E. Cheese pizza than this again. Crazy when the kids agree with me as well. First and last time I'll order from here.

This is for certain, New York (Eastern Pa. Northern N.J.) style pizza, which is refreshing after enduring the Pizza in my part of Ohio. I grew up in NE Pa. and when it comes to Pizza, Cheese Steaks, and overall Italian cuisine, I'm very critical and have transported hundreds of doughballs back to Ohio, so I could enjoy real pizza. I was thoroughly pleased to take the first bite, and subsequently, the next 3 slices, of a pizza that had a good hydration, great undercarriage, and a solid ratio of cheese to sauce. I drove 35 minutes to try it, and I was not disappointed at all. If you're like me, and didn't grow up in Ohio eating what they refer to as pizza, you should absolutely give it a try. Service was fantastic, and the woman that took my order, and checked me out, was very personable, and obviously part of the family that runs the business. Getting in the weeds a bit, understanding that I'm a snob, LOL, The dough had the correct structure, but IMHO, could be cold fermented for a longer period of time to develop much more flavor. Other than that, sauce and cheese is completely subjective, depending on what you like. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu, and appreciate the effort and the food. You now have a customer for life.

Basically your meat sauce, which was I have to admit, very interested and enjoyable. Overall, though, I would say this pizza was good, but not great. It genuinely saddens me to write this, but my partner and I were very let down by both the food and…read morethe service at Zep's. We are truly not the type to complain, but this experience was upsetting enough that we feel it is necessary to share. The food was undercooked and raw, and the service felt cold and unwelcoming, which was not what I expected from a small, cozy establishment. This was especially disappointing because we had been looking forward to trying Zep's for over a year. We pass it daily when traveling between each other's homes and always commented on how charming and cozy it looks, like something out of a Hallmark holiday movie. On a cold night, we were genuinely excited to finally stop in for hot delicious food. Unfortunately, that excitement quickly faded. My veggie pizza was piled high with raw, uncooked toppings that wouldn't stick, and my partner's pizza was also undercooked & wet with raw onions, barely any sauce, and bland, unseasoned dough. The battered cauliflower bites were gooey and undercooked. The fried pickles were the only thing we liked. We tried to enjoy the meal because of how much we had looked forward to it and because neither of us wanted to cause a scene. We reluctantly took the food home but as we talked it through on the drive, our disappointment grew. Before leaving a review, I felt it was only fair to call to speak with management. Maybe they could make it right? Shanda was kind and listened, and said the owner would call the next day regarding a refund. Unfortunately, no one did. When I called and spoke with the owner later, I was blamed for ordering my pizza without cheese, despite this never being an issue elsewhere, and also blamed for not speaking up sooner. While I acknowledge we should have said something in person, the response lacked empathy. There was no apology, only attitude, and we were told nothing could be done. We will not be returning and do not want vouchers or credits. We genuinely tried to resolve this privately before leaving a review. The final response we received on the phone was simply "Alrighty!" before they hung up the call, which honestly says everything. Alrighty.
