Amazing Pizza, I ordered it with a whole tomato sauce. It was absolutely spectacular. A+

I ordered it with the whole tomato sauce. It was absolutely spectacular. they are closed Sunday and Monday. I will definitely come back again. I drove over 45 minutes to get here and is definitely worth the trip. The whole family loved it. There's so much cheese. The pizza must've weighed 3 pounds.

Tucked away in what looks like used to be a garage in the small town of Lisbon, OH is Mary's Pizza. My fiancé grew up eating this pie and I've heard time upon time how good it is. You have to call ahead because it takes about 45 minutes to make, but the friendly staff will have it ready for you to pick up in a quick in and out when ready. They also have shirts you can buy with the logo on them. The pizza is definitely unique, a tick crusted Ohio Valley style (so the cheese is added after it's cooked in the oven and melts on top) with more of a pasta sauce rather than a traditional pizza sauce. Personally, I thought this sauce was one of the best sauces I have had on a pizza; it was slightly sweet and cooked with ground sausage and beef which added a depth to the flavor. Some pieces of meat were too large for my liking, but from what I've heard it's chef dependent. They also didn't skimp out on the amount of sauce. Now, if you like a traditional light tomato pizza sauce, this is probably not the pizza for you. As someone who prefers a traditional or thinner crust, this crust was much too thick for my liking. This was more of a focaccia style, but unlike Detroit style that is pan fried, this is just thick and crunchy. The flavor was okay, but was somewhat lacking. Lastly, the cheese. If you've never had Ohio Valley style pizza, it's definitely different than anything you've had before. First of all, they use provolone rather than mozzarella. Second, the cheese isn't baked on the pizza, it's added on top of the hot pizza fresh out of the oven so it melts on top. So if it doesn't appear completely melted, that's because it isn't. This makes it seem a little thicker on top, it also hardens faster. We didn't eat this totally fresh so the cheese was a little hard, but it would have been better if we ate it in the car. Overall, this was a good slice. I could only eat one because of how thick it was and hearty the sauce was, but it just wasn't my preferred slice of pizza. If you like a thick crust or the Ohio Valley style, this is the pizza for you.

First time visiting as I'm in town for work. Ordered a Mary's W/ Everything except mushrooms and I think my pizza weighs about 3-4.5 lbs. figured since I missed lunch I'd be able to eat half a normal pizza. Not this thing. Two slices and I've got to take a break. Think I have enough for a midnight slice and breakfast and lunch tomorrow.

The last 3 pizzas purchased were awful. The dough was raw, cheese tough, sauce tasteless. Mary's pizza no longer so.

But, my favorite is their whole tomato sauce, which tastes a lot like fresh bruschetta.

The blackened fish was swiming in water and with some sort of spice on top of the fish. I couldn't eat it. The fries tasted as though they were boiled with absolutely no crisp to them. The waitress said the fish was baked with spices. Do an AI search for blackened and it tells you its placed in an extremely hot pan for a few minutes and not baked. If I wanted baked, I would gave asked for that. My first and last time here.

Our server was very friendly and not at all bothered by the larger size of our party. We ordered quickly and the food was out within 15 minutes. My bf and I split an order of 10 wings and the stuffed jumbo shrimp that comes with two sides. We asked to mix the buffalo and garlic sauces and the sever brought out buffalo garlic parm, which we were more than ok with. The wings were crispy, but the sauce needed a little salt. The shrimp came out and were honestly smaller than we expected when we read "jumbo", but were still extremely delicious. It ended up being pretty filling with the two sides. We chose the rice pilaf and the mac and cheese. Both sides also needed some salt, but pretty good. The mac and cheese reminded me of a popular kind from the freezer section. The bathrooms were smaller, but clean. They have a ton of parking available directly out front and just slightly up the hill on the side of the building. This is a great place to enjoy a meal on the water. There is an outdoor patio with a separate menu that is all cooked over charcoal. The decor and ambiance really make you think you could be in a beach town somewhere.

3.5 stars. Long, detailed review... Arlecchino Ristorante is a casual-elegant Italian restaurant…read morethat is uniquely inside a one-room schoolhouse that was built in 1907. This restaurant is open for dinner and catering for dining in and takeout. It has many of the same menu items as its excellent sister restaurant Alla Famiglia. Each meal includes bread and oil, optional appetizers (e.g., meatball and mussels diavolo), a first course of salad and pasta, the chosen main course (e.g., chicken marsala, cacciatore, veal chop, and filet mignon), and then if desired dessert. Alcoholic beverages (e.g., cocktails, wines, and beers) are also available. For my husband's and my wedding anniversary, I made a reservation for Arlecchino through OpenTable. We arrived shortly after they opened for the day. Our first impressions: Valet was required for our vehicle. We felt interested in seeing the exterior and remodeled interior of the schoolhouse. Most of the restaurant was empty then, but the seating hostess took us to the worst table--the smallest table inches from the front door. I requested a different table, and she then gave us a much better one. OpenTable had said that the dress code was business casual, but other customers wore casual clothes, and a hostess wore shorts and a baggy sweatshirt hoodie. Our names were written on a chalkboard above the kitchen and on my menu but not my husband's menu. Our waiter provided timely service and spoke courteously with us. (If you are wondering how to pronounce the restaurant's name, he told me something like are-lee-kee-no or our-lee-key-no.) Here are my ratings for what my husband and I ate: Autumn Spritz - 4 stars - This spritz contained apple cider, Marie Brizard Apry, prosecco, and soda, and I liked its flavors. Smoked Provolone - 2 stars - Smoked provolone was topped with black truffles and arugula. Neither my husband nor I liked this appetizer. I took two bites, and he tried to eat half. Casa Salad - 4.5 stars - This salad consisted of mixed greens, roasted peppers, raisins, walnuts, olives, gorgonzola, and slightly too much vinaigrette. Caesar Salad - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this salad, and he said that it was his favorite food in the entire meal. Cavatappi Alla Vodka - 4 stars - My husband ate this pasta, and I took one bite, and I thought that it tasted good. Cacio E Pepe - 4 stars - Months ago at Alla Famiglia, we loved the locatelli romano cheese wheel at the tableside, so we felt excited to try it at Arlecchino. The waiter definitely mixed the linguini, cream, oil, and pepper in the cheese wheel. This cacio e pepe tasted good but not as great as what we remember from Alla Famiglia. Halibut - 3.5 stars - My main course was this special menu item. The halibut tasted bland but was served with black-tiger shrimp, carrots, tomatoes, zucchini, cauliflower, and butternut squash that added some nice flavors. I did not know the price for this fish until I saw the bill, and it was $72. Veal monzu - 4 stars - The veal was nicely breaded and fried and topped with mozzarella, jumbo lump blue crab, pine nuts, and lemon butter. My husband ate it, and my one taste-test bite indicated that it was flavorful. My husband was not interested in trying dessert, so we skipped it. Our total bill was $178 plus tax, tip, and a credit-card surcharge. Comparatively, I think that Alla Famiglia has significantly better food, but Arlecchino is worth a try.
