This location is under new ownership. We've tried it before in the past and just never really liked…read moreit. We figured that we'd give it one more shot, since it has new owners. We ordered a Brier Hill Pizza and added hot peppers. There wasn't anything wrong the pizza. It was cooked well and the toppings were plentiful. It included both red and bell peppers. And they use their own mix of hot peppers, which I really enjoy. Not something out of a jar. I just don't enjoy their pizza sauce. I never have. It always seems to be lacking something. There just doesn't seem to be any flavor to it. It just seems like it is plain old bland tomatoes thrown on top of a pizza crust. The hot peppers added some heat and some herbaceousness to the pizza which made it more enjoyable. I guess that I will stay away from anything with tomato sauce from this location in the future. We also had a small order of boneless wings. They were crispy and huge. The amount of sauce that was included was just right and the flavor was on point. All in all, I would order from this location again just because the boneless wings were really great and because they used their own hot peppers. Best of luck to the new owners. We ordered two pizza's both large, one with cheese and one with cheese & pepperoni. The Pizza's were amazing. The people are very friendly & it seems to be a very popular place with the locals. I have to give a shoutout to their staff for their handling & caring of a older lady who came into Uptown Pizza lost & upset. She could have been anyone's Grandma. It was dark out & I felt so bad for her & wanted to help her but I don't know the area well enough to give her any type of direction. The staff at Uptown Pizza sprung into action to help her. Since it was so late & dark they opted to call the Boardman Police to escort her to her destination. That is what you do to foster a good community by being the reason the community is good. This is a relatively new location and you can tell when you go in that the renovations are new. The…read moreinterior is nicer than most pizza joints offering ample seating for dine in and a nice area to wait for your carry out. The pizza there is great. I love pizza and consider myself a bit of a connoisseur. Cocca's isn't my #1 all-time favorite, but it is in my top 10. They use quality cheeses. The sauce is tasty and tangy - not over sweet like many places. The crust is thick but light, crisp on the bottom without being hard or tough. The pizza was also not dripping with grease, like so many other places, which is a good thing. The staff there were polite and attentive without being pushy, and accepted special requests without batting an eye - very professional without being impersonal. The dining area was spotlessly clean, and what I could see of the kitchens was the same - which is always a good sign. All in all, I would give them 9 out of 10 on the pizza connoisseur scale. ;)
