Worst experience I've ever had. There were two ladies at the shop this particular day they were doing each other nails , they asked if I had an appointment luckily I did because apparently they don't take walk-ins but the place was completely empty. Once we started my feeling I could tell immediately she didn't really know what she was doing, at that point I just wanted to leave but I didn't want to be rude. She continued and my nails looked absolutely horrible the way she painted my nails my five year old niece could have done. I had to get them redone the next day at another salon. I have been to this location twice. The first time I went, it took an extremely long time and was the most expensive manicure I've ever had. However, the end result was truly beautiful. The nails didn't chip and the job was perfect. However, she was the only one in the salon. If I'd had to have any other work done or if someone else had come in, there would have been no one do help them. Less than a month ago I called to make an appointment for me and my maid of honor a day and a half before my wedding. I decided that because they'd done such a good job, I would spend the extra money because I wanted everything to be perfect for that day. We went to the salon at our appointment time--there were only two girls working there, and were asked to pick out our colors. THIRTY minutes later, after neither the owner or her assistance had said another word to us, we got up to leave. They asked us why we were leaving and the owner said that we didn't come in at the right appointment time and she'd be with us when we were done. Not only were we on time for our appointment, but I had called the day before to confirm the time. We went to another salon down the street and were very happy with our decision to leave. The owner called me to apologize and say that her business is not done that way, but how would I know any different when this was only my second time? What bothered me almost as much as wasting time before my wedding day, was that we sat there for 30 minutes without being spoken to. That's no way to treat customers. read more

Unprofessional and ratchet. First off upscale is a lie. It's basic and the nail polish selection is limited with barely any product in the bottles. I went to this salon and asked for the price of an overlay or gel manicure. Both were over $30 which I was not looking to pay so I opted for a regular manicure. And the woman that said she was new there and was answering my questions had the audacity to then comment to the person she was working on that she was "building her clientele and not just walk ins because if they don't want to pay salon prices they aren't going to want to pay her prices". Honestly how disgusting can you be. I wanted a regular manicure because I'm giving my nails a break from my usual $50-$80 sets. Yet I still have them a chance and someone else comes up to ask what I would getting. Worst nail experience ever!!! I went to CocaNails to get a gel manicure the minute I walked into the establishment the owner was very rude she said that I can have a appointment for 6 o'clock I came back at 6 and we sat there for 30 minutes waiting for somebody to service Us by the time we get to the service the girl who was doing the nails didn't soak my nails in soapy water which is standard procedure now I usually don't get crazy about small things but I've been to cosmetology school and I know that is important for you to cleanse the Nails before you start rendering service for safety and sanitation. I requested them to soak my nails in soapy water they refused and the owner started to argue with me and make a big scene in front of her customers ... The minute we walked in she never offered anything to drink... or a greeting however with other customers she was very happy and polite and even apologized for the long wait times. once I decided not to do my nails because it was taking too long and they weren't doing the safety and sanitation steps properly I asked a simple request to.speak to her about my negative experience and she said okay well that will be $10 so I go up to pay the $10 and she said no that's going to be $20 so I asked her why am I paying $20 for a service that was not completed , she proceeded to say oh no you gonna pay that $20 she called the police had the police come out and waste their time for such a stupid and small situation now I am not a difficult customer and I have the right to say how I feel about the experience this has been by far the worst nail experience I have ever had the owner was rude and disrespectful to me and my friend. I got SNS done and they've lasted three weeks perfectly, I have done two spartan races (mud races) in between and my nails were still impeccable, I also work at a restaurant so I'm constantly washing my hands. The owner was very rude!!! She stared my daughter down the whole time she was there. My daughter was also there to get her nails done. I asked the owner where was her trash can to throw away a drink. She told me she doesn't have any trash cans. Kay did a great job on my nails and my daughter's, but I will never go back. The owner needs to learn how to treat people. Went in on a Monday only to be told that I needed an appointment but I was given a $5 off any service over $30. So I called Tuesday after work to see if there was any availability and there was. I asked for a full set and a pedicure. When I walked in I was very impressed by the warm welcome. I sat down and enjoyed the 1 & a half pedicure. She paid very close attention to the details of my little toes and I couldn't have been happier. Once finished she asked if I had any flaps I told her no so she provided me with some. I then went to get my full set. Treva did a dry manicure before applying the nail tips. She asked me what shape I would like and I told her to surprise me and I was greatly appreciative of her work. She too paid great attention to detail. Before applying the polish I was asked to pay first which is understandable. I gave her my card and the flyer I was given the day prior. She asked where'd I get the flyer and I told her the owner gave it to me. I followed her to the counter where I seen her write the ticket. She told me that she couldn't close my tab until the other technician writes her tab understandable. So we sat back down and she polished my nails. I loved them. Once finished I walked to the counter to receive my grand total and I was told $47; mind you the full set is $30 & the basic pedicure is $20. I used the $5 off coupon so my total should have been $45. I asked what was the additional $2 charge and I was told that the flaps were an additional $1 (never heard of that nor did she tell me when she provided them) and I seen that the lady who did my nails only took $4 off instead of $5. Cool! Two days after I get my nails done one of them break while I'm in the shower so now I'm looking like . I call the salon and ask if I can come in to get the nail repaired; she was very nice and told me that I could come in. The nail repair was $3. I was thankful of her repairing that nail, but pissed that three days later 3 more nails break. I'm thinking to myself this is BS. So in total I've had 4 nails break within a week of having them done. read more

They are warm and friendly and make sure they use products that are not harmful for you. you can tell the difference when you walk in the door and are not overwhelmed by the overwhelming chemical smell . As soon as I walked in I was asked if I had an appointment, I said 'no' and was informed they only book appointments but they may be able to get me in. No one else was in the salon. I sat on the couch for a while before I was motioned to a chair. I was there to have my acrylics filled in. The lady doing my nails never initiated conversation and only spoke to apologize that her file wasn't working. She never asked if I wanted them trimmed down or what shape I wanted and seemed to get annoyed when I mentioned it, apparently she was a step ahead of that and had to redo steps to get them the way I wanted them. She never smiled at me till it was time to pay and leave a tip. In less than a week the acrylic started chipping at the tips and you can see through the gel polish on my nails. I had been searching for another black-owned nail salon for sometime due to my previous salon closing due to Covid-19. My hairstylist recommended this salon so I decided to give it a try. It was my birthday weekend and I decided to visit on 9/17. I'm soo glad I did! I was greeted with such warmth and friendliness that I immediately felt very comfortable. The environment was relaxing and clean. Ms. Tamara and her team were absolutely wonderful! Especially, Nicole! She was not only very good, but conversational, funny and knowledgeable about nail and feet care. It's refreshing to have a nail tech not only take care of your nails and feet, but share the information so you can keep up the care until your next service. I really appreciated the idea of putting your purse and phone away in the cubbyhole to detach and relax. I have never been to a salon that does that. Very POSITIVE energy. In fact, there is a sign on the door to remind you to stay positive or come back another day, LOL! I walked in early afternoon, and my initial impression was very, very nice. The salon was clean! The salon owner, Tamara, greeted us right away and was very pleasant. The nail color selection was smaller, but I liked the fact they had a good selection of O.P.I. and Essie in all the colors that are in style right now. Tamara did my pedicure and she was very friendly. She even offered me tips on taking care of my nails at home in between manicures and pedicures! I liked that she established a rapport with me right away. By the end of my visit I knew all the ladies and they were all professional. My boyfriend and I walked in today and were greeted by a friendly lady who said they don't normally take walk-ins but that they would be able to take us if we waited 10 minutes. So 10 minutes later we were sat at our pedicure bowls and were greeted by a girl with orange hair so seemed fairly unhappy about life. She was rude and barely spoke to us. I waited for in hour with my feet in the bowl while my boyfriend was getting his pedicure and No one checked on me or even spoke to me so I just got up and put my shoes on and told my boyfriend I didn't want to wait and longer so we told them we were done and wanted to check out. THEY HAD THE NERVE TO CHARGE MY BOYFRIEND FOR THE LOTION AND SCRUB THEY SAT OUT FOR ME. which is exactly why I'm writing this post. The owner witnessed this and never offered a discount or offered to help or even apologized for my wasted hour at her salon and people like that shouldn't own businesses. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. I absolutely love coming here. I came by passing this place and popped my head in the door. What overtook me was the ambiance and super friendliness of the ladies. You will need an appointment but that makes u feel like a human, and less like cattle (like at Vietnamese shops). I'm extremely particular about cleanliness of tools so I asked about the process. She was really knowledgeable about the process and how just using barbicide alone doesn't kill germs/ viruses. This place is so laid back! I often go here for a pedi and/or a mani. The owner, Tamara, is extremely pleasant and very genuine. She shared her testimony with me about her journey from the corporate world to opening up her very own business and where the name of salon came from. She told me this while I was getting a pedi. She jumped on the plush seats that are spread out like an oversized sofa. There are no barriers between the client - only the wash bowls. Anyway, she shared her story with me while I was getting a pedi. I chose the Milk & Honey pedi - she shared the story with me about why she had that service on there. Okay, I must admit that my eyes were a little crossed because I THOUGHT that the pedi was $25. Oops, I was looking at the WRONG service - Baby Doll a kids pedi for $25...something like that. You wanna know how much this #$*&% Milk & Honey Pedi costs??? Drumroll...$55!! Never in life have I paid that much for a pedi! I couldn't do anything but laugh at myself. And the funny thing about it was that I planned on getting the combo - mani and pedi but I ran out of time ( I was on my lunch break) - which was $70. I am not balling out of control like THAT! Honestly, the pedi was well worth it. I was among good Spirits and felt like a true friend in her presence. The signature Milk & Honey pedi features your feet relaxing in enriched milk and honey moistures. First, my feet were exfoliated with a coarse salt scrub then a honey mask was applied. The mask was removed with hot towels. Then came the massage with honey butter, honey oil and hot stones. This was definitely a gourmet pedi. Something that my feet were NOT used to and they absolutely loved it. But my debit card was like WTH! I felt like a proud mother when I saw the salon featured on Bad Girls Club Season 10 in Atlanta. I really enjoyed my time spent and CocaNails. This place is definitely worth a try. read more

I am new to the Atlanta area and was looking for a place to get gel tips before starting my new job this Monday. Coming from Brooklyn, I am accustomed to paying about $80-85 for a gel manicure and pedicure, depending on what I get, because I frequented a very upscale salon. I paid about $40 more than that today and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed in the ambiance and the service here. There were no complimentary beverages or massage chairs. I found the color selection somewhat limited also, but I did find a beautiful pink that I loved. However, it took a lot of will power to stay inside because the chemical smell that hit me when I walked in was very overwhelming and nauseating. In the salon I went to before I moved, that smell was simply not present, and part of why I was willing to pay a little more to be serviced there. My manicure was done pretty well. My tech took initiative to give me an extra coat of polish because the color I chose was very transparent. The shape of my nails is nice and very much aligned to what I asked for. My tech asked for feedback and was very friendly and easy to talk to. However, based on previous experiences, it seemed to me like some steps were skipped. For example, she did not put on a base coat, which I found a bit strange. My manicure still looks really nice however, hence the three stars. My pedicure was less than what I'm used to. I opted for a callus removal, and basically all that happened was my tech rubbed cuticle oil on my feet, without removing any dead skin. I am used to my tech then using a tool to actually remove the dead skin. The scrubber used to exfoliate my feet was really small and flimsy, resulting in an uneven exfoliation and my feet not feeling as soft as they usually do after a pedicure. Also a few times when she was pushing my cuticles and cleaning under the nail it felt like she had pushed the tool too far and it hurt. I've never experienced that before. I'm also used to a paraffin treatment being included in the service and that didn't happen. I also noticed that the tools used to work on my feet did not appear to come from a new package, which was always the case at the salon I went to in Brooklyn. I also noticed that the scrub being used on my feet appeared to come from a big bucket in the back, which is fine, but not aligned to the upscale model that I'm used to. I would say overall, for the price that I paid and the way that the salon markets itself, I was a bit disappointed. I paid more than what I usually do and I didn't find the experience as relaxing or my nail techs as meticulous as the techs that I'm used to. My nails look nice though so you just want a regular mani/pedi, with no frills, I recommend this place, but it's overpriced for the level of service. read more

I made an appointment and when I arrived they forced me to start without my client, who was running 5 minutes late. When she got there, they waited 35 minutes to even begin doing her manicure. The same girl doing mine then started doing hers. It took over 2 1/2 hours to complete 2 gel manicures. Not to mention, the polish didn't even go up to our cuticles. I had a great first time visit here the environment is so relaxing and peaceful. Calming music also . I got my real nails with an overlay filled in along with a shape change and gel polish. With changing shape with real nails can be a little tricky but Lateshia mastered it. She is very detailed and explains the process as she goes along . It allowed me to be more informative on what to look for and what is not okay for a nail tech to do . I received a pedicure also. I love how I set an appointment went in I didn't have to wait I wasn't rushed and she started right away. Shantel did the nail art on my nails she did a great job . I am all for small business owners as I have been one myself so am sad to write this review but did not have a great experience. Rashida was great in terms of friendliness. I wanted my gel polish soaked off ($10) which is a fair price. What was extremely disappointing is once she took them off the owner stepped in to say it does not include a buff or anything of course after I started. My nails look tragic. I don't expect a manicure by any means but anytime u get gel off they at least bufff them so your natural nail looks decent. I deducted a star only because the salon doesn't have a drying lamp, which I prefer so that my nails are completely dry before leaving.
