Amazing SNS nails and amazing pedicures! I found this place a few months ago and I'm so happy I did. The place is sooooo peaceful and you don't have any issues communicating with anyone. That is definitely a change of pace from the confusing, crowded chop shop places I was going to before. You can tell they take time between each appointment and make sure their foot tubs and utensils are clean. And even though they work off of appointments their prices don't reflect the individual care that you get. I am not paying any more than I was at the chop shops. read more

I visited this salon twice whilst on my search for a good nail salon ('m new to the area by way of NJ), and each time the service was so-so. It's a black owned nail salon, so I tried to support their efforts, but I've since selected another nail salon as my "go to." The young lady that helped me wasn't too friendly (she wasn't really rude) and my mani was just "ok." Both times I went, they didn't use a water bowl to do my mani (never had that happen) and they just clipped and pushed by my cuticles. The first time I went, I got a gel mani and the second time I got a regular mani. They weren't terrible, but again, they were just so-so. On the plus side, the owner is really nice and the decor is cute and fun. Would I use them again? Maybe. If my salon closes down for vacation for a week or two, I might try Cocanails again. I do, however, encourage others to go and experience it for themselves. I'm very particular about my nails and what might not be acceptable for me might be just fine for the next person. Really enjoyed my experience at Cocanails. I just walked-in on Saturday morning and was assisted right away. The place is clean... i MEAN Clean. You do not smell the harsh products in the air or some type of fragrance trying to over power it. I was impressed when they opened a sterilized pack for the nail clippers, cuticle stick and the nail file. The staff is very friendly and approachable if you have any concern they will assist you. i loved the ambiance...I love dark wood furniture and the bright upbeat color combo. I cant explain it, but it just made you feel lively and upbeat. Tried this place on a whim three months ago and so glad I did! I have been going every two weeks since and have been so happy with the service and atmosphere. I started with a regular manicure and have been getting SNS/ pedicures since and have loved every service I have received. I have had a service done by almost every tech and they all did a great job. After another salon ruined my nails with a botched Gel mani that chipped after 1 day and a second salon gave me a nail-bed infection (gross I know), I'm so glad I found Cocanails. Things to know so you have a great experience: 1) Call ahead to book an appointment. Even if its only a few minutes before, you can call ahead to schedule. I know they try to accommodate walk-ins, but I've seen a few people get mad that they can't be fit in. Save yourself a headache and call beforehand! 2) Don't bring little ones. The salon is really quiet/ soothing atmosphere...as a mom I know mine would feel so out of place and it would distract the other customers. read more

The people were rude and had bad attitudes, they charge way too much for a service they are not good at. The lowest pedicure you can get is a $30 pedicure if you haven't had a pedicure within three weeks. I had just had a pedicure four weeks prior from a different salon but the owner would not let me get the $20 pedicure. My feet were already in the water and I could've gotten up and left but at that point, it felt incredibly awkward. It felt like a silly rule considering every other place I go, I pay $20 for a pedicure. On top of all that, it was not even a good pedicure and it took FOREVER. The woman who performed my service was very kind, but the owner went off on both of us for speaking Spanish to each other in her salon. After I left, my nail polish started to bubble and crack and when I went back the owner gave me a huge attitude and blamed me for the problem. I called the next day because the same thing was happening again and the owner yelled and cursed me out over the phone... I'm a pretty laid back person and rarely leave reviews, but this experience was crazy! This was my first visit but it will definitely not be my last. When I arrived, I thought I just needed a fill because my nails were lifting. My nail technician took the time to examine my nails and the condition of my nails to discover that my nails were almost infected because of the poor application of my acrylic nails from a previous salon. She suggested the dipping method because she focuses on proper care of the natural nail. This was the best suggestion. Tamara does a wonderful job on SNS nails. My nails usually will last for 4-6 weeks before I need to come back. She doesn't soak your entire hand in the acetone like some technicians do. Keep in mind that it is an appointment based salon, so remember to book ahead. The signature drink that comes with some pedicures is amazing! They don't allow customers to talk extremely loud on speakerphone so that's refreshing. I don't remember any of the other technicians names, but they are all wonderful! I had a great experience at Cocanails Upscale Salon. They were clean, professional and had excellent customer service. I was a walk in but its best to make an appointment. I got the Simply Put pedicure and gel polish manicure and was very pleased with both. My nails look great! It did take longer then I'm used to but I appreciate that. i was actually able to relax because they weren't trying to rush me out the door. The massage (which is my favorite part of getting a pedicure) was heavenly. I was offered some wine! Yes Please! They take the time to make sure your nails look good and pay attention to detail. My nail tech name was NICOLE she was awesome , it had been a while since I had a pedicure and she attacked these bad boys took her time and it was perfection. I just CANT with this place. I really try to support Black businesses whenever I can, but this place made it impossible. The first time I went I was told they were by appointment only and they didnt have any appointments, so I had to go to the nail salon next door. Fast forward a month and I tried to give them my business again. All I wanted was a simple toe polish change. I was first told that they do not do polish changes when they haven't done the pedicure, for "sanitary reasons", but that I could supply my own polish. So I was forced to go to Walgreens to buy polish just so they could do my polish change! After I got back to the salon, I was told that they only work by appointment so she had to put me down in the appointment book, although they were available. I waited about 10 minutes, and then she proceeds to take my polish off and start filing my toenails. I asked her to cut them down, and she said that will be an additional $10!! Wait, huh?? $10 extra to cut my toe nails?? Something that every other nail salon includes in a polish change?! Definitely NOT! So I told her I was not paying the extra $10 and to forget about the polish change. So the girl then says that it's going to be $13 for the polish change when they only took the nail polish off and half way filed my big toe. Are y'all serious???? I said no, I'm fine with paying $5 for the nail polish removal, but that's about it. The girl then calls the manager/owner and she Okays the $5. Of course I then proceed to go to the nail salon next door AGAIN to get my toe polish change with THEIR nail polish, and they are cutting my toe nails as I type this. This salon has an ambiance of relaxed, clean, comfortable, and elegant. It's better than the normal nail salon... It's an oasis. The owner and other employees are kind, personable, and professional. Good customer service but she did a terrible job on my set of acrylics. She charged me 5 or 10 dollars to shape my nails the way I wanted to be (coffin). As she's filing down my nails I felt that she was little bit close to my skin but I let her do her job. Of course she gets too close and my pinky ended up bleeding. Its happened before at different nail salons but I felt that she didn't even know she was getting too close... She kept getting closer and closer and hits the same spot so I flinched for her to notice. She filed down my skin couple more times and my set of nails finally finished. She did a horrible job executing the shape I asked for and Im so annoyed that I had to pay extra for it. Overall I give them 1 star because I hate the way my nails look, they are SUPER PRICEY and I will not be back ever. read more

I feel terrible for having to write anything negative about this black owned nail salon but I had such a bad experience that I needed to share it, in hopes that they will not do this to anyone else: This was my first experience here. I wanted a gel mani and pedi. It took about an hour and a half to complete my pedicure and fortunately, it turned out ok. However, instead of soaking my nails (I had on gel polish) while I sat, they waited until after that hour and a half to start on my nails. The woman who appeared to be the owner KNEW I had gel nails. And instead of assisting the girl doing my pedicure, she sat in the back and laughed at tv. Because I was pressed for time, they suggested I have my gel polished "buffed" off instead of soaked. Well...here I am now with nails that have ridges the size of the Appalachian mountains and chunks of my natural nail bed chipped away! I even had to suggest she use the buffer to smooth my nails after she filed them, smh. I nicely asked that I go ahead and pay with no polish because my nails looked rough after using the buffer instead of soaking them. The owner said, "they would have been rough anyway..." Instead of offering a, "I'm sorry you're not happy with your service," she attempted to initiate an argument with me. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They did say they take appointments only (usually). Perhaps they have more skilled techs on call. I hope the best for this place and hope this review provides some sort of lesson in customer satisfaction. read more

Living in the Marietta area, it is sometimes impossible to find a consistent and great nail salon. So I took one of my mornings to research nearby nail salons, read through quite a bit of their reviews and ultimately made my choice. Cocanails was my second pick, the first did not answer their phone. I contacted Cocanails to make sure my trip would not be wasted on both ends. About 30 minutes later I arrived and was eventually greeted by Erica, who later became my tech. (please note this visit was about a month ago) Erica demeanor upfront was not your typical friendly nail tech. She almost seemed uninterested in doing my nails. I figured I must have disturbed her from during her own nails. Which she finished the last touches to whatever step she was doing and set it aside to do my nails. During the process of getting my nails down, a woman sat down beside me and got her nails done by Gloria (she's one of the best techs there, spirit and all she was so friendly). I noticed how Gloria barely used a drill for her client. While, Erica had nicked my cuticles and caused me to bleed. After that I wasn't really feeling the vibes. She did not seem too bothered she caused me to bleed, and that set a tone in my head about her services. Longer story short, my overall experience was okay. I mentally decided if I came back, I would see Gloria...who was gentle and caring with her client. With that said, I was excited to share with some of my sisters, coworkers, church members, etc...that a black American-owned business was close to us! We all love supporting others, especially our own. So a couple of my friends travelled to the shop to get their nails done, after their experiences they contacted me. I was disappointed to learn how they were treated and what they witnessed in this salon. So I went back through the reviews and noticed the owner had quite a reputation and an aggressive attitude towards clients who did not like their services. I was always told in customer service the customer is always right! Most nail salons build clientele by word of mouth. One of my closest friends told me about how rude the owner was to this elderly woman, and how rough she was doing my friends nails. I will not be returning to Cocanails & I believe who's ever reading this should try them out for yourself. Definitely A Fan! I loved the cleanliness, I loved the atmosphere, I loved the professionalism. The Staff (Pamella did my Mani-Pedi) made the experience that much more worthwile since she handled both my nails & feet with care. She took her time and inquired if I was comfortable on several occassions throughout the service. Yes, the visit was a little time consuming but I was there on my own leisure time to relax and enjoy the services. I was in no hurry but instead appreciated the time spent in such a relaxing place. If you just want a quickie and out the door then this would not be a place for you, as they are NOT slow but they DO take the time needed on each individual client. Generally don't like to leave reviews but didn't love my time at this salon. I did not get an upscale vibe & felt like the services were mediocre at best. It seemed as though management watched every move of the young lady doing my nails which was very off putting & nerve wracking. It felt like staff was annoyed when people came in & asked about services or walked in. I understand that they are appointment only but I don't think the customers should feel the irritation. Was out of town and wanted to get a service to repair a nail that had just broken. Walked in and was denied a service to get it repaired, "we don't just repair one nail!" I was told only if I'd be getting another service. I told the tech that it's ok. When I walked out with my baby in my arms, I turned back and saw the nail tech lock the door behind me. This was my 1st visit and Cocanails was great! The ladies prefer to work by appointment but were flexible enough to take me as a walk-in for a manicure & pedicure. Chantel did my pedicure and Tamera did my gel manicure. I explained to the ladies that my previous experiences have been at the "quickie mart nail salons". And never was I pleased with the results. Stiff. Unfriendly. Rude. The hostess and nail technician that scheduled us was simple rude under the pretense of being " upscale". The environment felt cold and fake. The customer service was horrible. I scheduled pedicures for myself and my two daughters. We were seated separately. When I asked if my youngest who was celebrating her birthday and also having her first pedicure could sit next to me, I was told " you are seated by what's available". Although, an empty seat was right next to me. Soon after a preppy looking white couple came in and they were given the royal treatment and of course seated next to each other for their pedicures. They were also offered water for their short wait. My family was not offered anything although we had to wait also to be seated. In terms of culture I was disappointed and saddened that a black owned salon would treat my family so poorly when I went out of my way to support them. I just wish they would have shown up for me like they did for their other clientele. Our money was also green. We will not return but I will keep searching for a salon that is friendly, professional and black- owned. read more
