We live in Calgary, so it's not a long drive at all. Since being out here for almost 4 months, we have probably gotten Crumbl cookies about 8 times already! Like anything... some of their cookies are a hit while others are a miss. My top favorite cookies so far are the Oreo cookie, the Rice Krispie cookie, the lemonade cookie and the Oreo Marshmallow cookie! So several years later, here I am. The ambiance is typical for a bakery run by a 70 year old man. There are old signs like "espresso yourself" up on the walls. One immediate problem stood out to me: there's no air conditioning, and it was hot in there. I got a blueberry pastry and a coffee. Although the coffee was just in a pre-made cannister, it was quite good and refillable. The pastry was very good and had a ton of fruit filling. There is plenty of seating, although I can imagine it gets quite busy at 5 in the morning when all the old people from Strathmore come in for lunch. It said on the window that it was a bakery and a cafe, but I failed to see any espresso machine and didn't ask. Strathmore needs a good cafe with great espresso and a friendly atmosphere--like Analog or Phil & Sebastian's in Calgary. This certainly isn't it, unfortunately. With that said, I'll probably come back again when I'm in the mood for a fresh pastry.
