This was really fun! It's a typical grocery store but also has more hot food options including Chef Fhimas and buttered tin. The seating was busy on a Sunday afternoon so hard to find a spot which was first come first serve. The food took a bit to get served but Buttered Tin offered a free pastry as it took a while. The buttered tin Cinnamon roll is amazing! We loved the burrito bowl from Fhimas as well. The carbonara has a strong pancetta taste so just be mindful of this. There is a kids corner with books and coloring as well as a riding horse! There's an ice cream and popcorn stand as well. There were fun free samples in the grocery area as well! read more

We used to love Coborn's and they are super close to home and work. We will not go back there now since the management will not own up to their failures are management and the failures of it's employees. Most of it's shelves are stocked with expired food. We literally went around to every isle and the same thing in every isle. Shelf after shelf of unrotated expired food. This place needs to get a health inspector in there and close this place down. Do not go there unless you want food poisoning or worse. read more

I'm very unhappy with the Pharmacy at Coborn's - the mistakes and the bumbling and the disorganization. The Pharmacy has never - thank goodness - done anything dangerous to me. But they've made so many irritating little mistakes and bumbling and 3 Stooges type antics, I'm so completely frustrated that I'm leaving this review and I'm transferring all of my services to Walmart. I've complained many times. But the issues continue. I've gotten 2 prescriptions once a month for around two years - B12 injections (I can't absorb B12) and Thyroid (I have thyroid disease). I'll be taking these two compounds for the rest of my life. Therefore, I'll be making a trip to a pharmacy once a month. EVERY month there is ALWAYS, without fail...a problem, a glitch, or a goofy malfunction. And I'm sick of it. Here are some examples: 1. For over 6 months they gave me an injectable vial of liquid B12 (a vitamin) but they wouldn't give me any syringes! Really? So I couldn't take my meds. After missing a few months, in frustration, I finally started to buy my syringes on Ebay. 2. When I finally got them to give me syringes, they gave me the WRONG syringes. They gave me insulin syringes (short needles) instead of intramuscular syringes (long needles). 3. When I finally got a prescription for the stupid syringes (because Coborn's has a weird archaic back-woods syringe policy), they started to give me the WRONG quantity of syringes each month! Come on, I only need 1 syringe, not 2. But I guess I'd rather have too many than none...or the wrong size. 4. So for over six months the problem was either: No syringes, the wrong syringes, and too many syringes. 5. They gave me the wrong dose on my thyroid twice. They gave me the old smaller dose and told me it was the new prescription. I believed them since I had just been to the doctor. I didn't figure out they made the mistake until I went back to my doctor 2 months later. 6. I got an auto refill and a text pickup reminder but upon arrival, only 1 (of 2) prescriptions would be ready. Really? Why text me if only half of my items are ready? 7. They told me my new insurance didn't allow automatic refill and text renewal notices. But then they kept sending me texts (good). Then they stopped sending me texts (bad). Then they started texts again. What? 8. My latest goofball problem was yesterday. I handed them my driver's license and they couldn't find me in the computer. It was a big production trying to find me in the computer. And they asked me my name even though my driver's license was in their hand. They also asked me how to pronounce my name. What the heck? The only good thing I can say is they are all very nice people and pleasant to talk to. But nice doesn't cut it when they keep making mistakes. So in summary, it seems like there are a bunch of clowns behind the scenes at the Coborn's Pharmacy. I thank goodness I'm not getting any really serious life-saving prescriptions filled by them. And I'm taking the advice of my elderly parents and transferring my scripts to the Walmart Corporation. Beware - and check your scripts carefully. No mask enforcement. Otherwise, good store, great quality. Friday, 1/15/21, around 8 pm, I unfortunately had my first encounter with a disrespectful person during this pandemic at Coborn's Ramsey. He thought he was righteous to tell me, "If you're so scared, why don't you stay home?" I was standing at the deli. I saw him coming towards me from the cashier area. He and his son did not have masks on. He came and stood. right. beside. me. I moved quietly away from him and he snickered. I minded my own business, the employee handed me my order, and I proceeded towards the check out. Then he walked from behind, passed me, and said that to me, all with an attitude like he was teaching his son, this is how you treat the pandemic and people. I was so disrespected. I had minded my own business only to get this treatment from him. I responded back, "I'm protecting my community. I don't appreciate your attitude, sir!" I also had my 4 year old son with me. I tried really hard to be brave, stand up for myself and uphold safe community practices, but also refrain so not to evoke trouble from him, nor scare my son. I was so scared of this experience. I wasn't scared of COVID at that moment. I could "protect" myself with a mask. I was scared because I'll never be able to protect who I am as a person, with any mask, from people who think and act like him. I told the cashier, about him when I was checking out. I highly doubt that'll do anything to deter his behavior. But I really hope management will enforce masks in the store. I am shaken and will probably stay away for a while. I like Coborn's and shop almost weekly, and I would love to continue doing so, without fear. read more

Great store - they've cleaned up and remodeled this past year, and now Coborn's provides such a nice shopping experience. They are a little heavy on some options - cheese, for example takes up almost an entire aisle, and light on others such as nondairy options, but I think the adjustments will come from customer requests for certain brands. It was a surprise to see they have a smoker in store! My family loves the smoked pork and beef - talk about an easy meal! ALSO, the young woman (Heidi?) at the floral kiosk is brilliant and very talented - she listened and provided exactly what I asked for and it was ready on time. The spicy fried chicken from the deli is actually very tasty, and quite reasonably priced as well. It is crunchy and QUITE spicy, so if that's your thing, (like it is mine!) you'll be happy with it. Also the meat department has never let me down. Always fresh, always tasty. I have got some produce that is less than fresh once I get it home and look at it. So that's where the 1 star came off. But if you check the stuff before you grab it, there's no problem. My only other gripe about this place is the prices can get a little crazy if you don't use the penny pincher coupons and/or manufacturer coupons. But it's worth it to not have to go to Walmart! read more

I like Coborn's & so should you but Dustin they are really expensive! Well hold on cowboy and here me out. I grew up in Elk River, those familiar with that area remember the great County Market & Ron's Food choices that we once so had. Pamadia Anyone? Anyway along came Sax, Cub, Target, Elk River was growing in the mid 90's and still is today. Coborn's took over Sax years ago when I was still there and to this day they focus on customer service. They even had a video rental inside the store which was great at the time and they always bagged your groceries for you. The fact that Coborn's is around today not just in Elk River but multiple locations is fantastic. It has that small town feel, creates jobs for the local economy and frankly is just a nice modern grocery store. Is it Whole Foods also known as Whole paycheck, hey nothing against Whole Foods but woofta. Coborn's is far superior place to shop at especially comparing it to Cub. Cub has gone downhill over the years, doesn't keep up with the times. Plus they run great specials and truckload buys so before you go saying it's too expensive. No it really isn't, small price to pay for the better service, cleanliness of the stores and friendliness of staff. To close, it offers that home town feel with home town service store. If you shop right and use rewards much better than cub and you can avoid Whole Paycheck, I mean Whole Foods without busting your bank. read more

I love their fresh/bulk seasonings/herbs section in the produce area. Theirs cakes are yummy (and I bake some amazing cakes). They are very friendly and courteous and always willing to help out if you can't find something. I especially enjoy Brandon and the short female manager, sorry can't think of her name. We always enjoy both of them. We enjoy the Pharmacy as well being within Coborn,s. We have known Wayne for several years. Went to the Coborns in Ramsey, MN and noticed ALL of the workers greeted the white customers and asked if they needed assistance. We are an Asian family and no one acknowledged us. They also ignored a black customer too. We will never go there again. read more
