It's very rarely super busy like other locations can get (only around 3-5 when people are heading home from work). The workers there are really friendly, they are really kind and will always ask about your day. The bathrooms are very nice and big and spacious and very clean and tidy! The carts are also always clean, they don't squeak and they are huge which I love.

Unlike some Aldi stores, this one has a wide open entry minimizing congestion and allowing you to go to whatever aisle you need instead of being forced down the first aisle. If you are not familiar with Aldi, there are a few quirky things... - if you want a cart, it costs a quarter which you get back upon returning the cart. This is great in that there are not carts randomly sitting around the parking lot. - paper bags cost $.15 each so remember your own bags - they don't have everything like a large grocery store...but they tend to have the essentials. The Aldi store brand is great for canned goods, snacks, and crackers. - they have a constantly changing variety of "aldi finds" which range from a name brand product at a steep discount to seasonal housewares.

Deli food and deli workers there were really nice. I was looking for something in dairy and i asked someone for help but he was really distracted and didnt hear me. he was a wide gentleman, i think he was a higher up of somekind but he couldve just been hard of hearing. everything else i found. However at the service counter this younger native i think girl was very standoff ish like she didnt like i took away from her phone time. she walked away when i wasnt even finished speaking. I might be old but i can still pick up on rudeness. But besides that I really enjoyed the store! Very Clean and Organized. Since COVID-19, they are now requiring masks in order for you to enter. When I visited, everyone complied. The prices here vary. Sometimes an item will be vastly cheaper than from somewhere else and others will be much more expensive. But, this is a co-op so whatever you pay will go back to local farmers and product owners so I think it's worth it either way. There aren't a ton of aisles but they have a relatively good freezer section (and even had a sale for 2/$7 Ben and Jerry's ice cream!). Their coffee shop is really cute too. I didn't go inside the book store but it's right next to the coffee shop which also offers snacks and has a small sitting area for you to eat a snack or finish your coffee.

Some of our favorites are -- * Angus roast beef - for cold and hot roast beef sandwiches -- far better than packaged deli meat from the other sections of other stores * best fried chicken we have had in the state of Wisconsin * my spouse is diabetic, so we go to the lower carb/calorie end of the deli salads --and our favorites are broccoli bacon salad, cowboy caviar (corn, green peppers, red peppers and some black beans in a light vinaigrette, They have an excellent selection of groceries and a very nice produce and in store bakery. Of the stores in Menomonie, we think their beef is of the highest quality. We really like them-- I have been trying to get them to do a local food fair and a ad spread to support it . Wisconsin has wonderful artisan cheese makers and several are very near Menomonie -- Eau Galle Cheese-- but the store doesn't carry them. Area apples and produce are incredible -- So to get my fifth star -- Marketplace needs to host a local food fair--in the store -- and show off and stock our wonderful local food producers -- I don't have a dog in this fight --- just want the local producers and store to bond -- i.e.just trying to get up the date -- but I hope they eventually marry.
