I really love Cobb's Pike Place Popcorn and have since we stayed in Seattle for a bit a couple years ago. The loss of one star is because it would be wonderful if they had a notification on their site or instagram which states when they've run out of a flavor for the day, but otherwise I absolutely adored their Kettle Corn flavor and being able to easily order get a sealed bag. The service was friendly and helpful both times I visited and I definitely plan to return next time we're in Seattle. All in all, they're amazing and you should absolutely stop in! read more

Best popcorn I have ever had...period. I smelled the delicious scent of popcorn calling me from Pikes Market, and had to find it. Located on the very bottom level, you will find Cobb's popcorn ticked away in a little corner. They have 4 or 5 flavors that they are happy to provide samples. Tried a few different kinds, and next thing I knew, I spent like $45 on popcorn...lol! The guy working the register is super nice, and funny. It was so fetch! The popcorn was delicious! We go a mixture of the kettle corn and caramel corn. The perfect mixture of sweet and salty. You walk up to the window and can sample the popcorn. They had a buy two get one free! They made sure to really fill the whole bag and even went as far as filling up all the way to the top! I've been in Seattle almost 4 years and this was my first time visiting Cobb's; I'm happy to say it did not disappoint! I love that they provide free samples, as I don't know if I would have made a purchase without being able to try it first. I bought just 1 of their larger bags and it was great that they offer a mixture of up to 2 flavors, so I got the kettle corn and the caramel...fantastic combo by the way! It is on the pricier side but it's absurdly delicious! The staff member helping us was super friendly and it was enjoyable they actually had a conversation with us while helping us pick our favorite flavors. Stopped by for my free popcorn for national popcorn day. I love the Carmel flavor. This is a must go to place if you like gourmet popcorn. They only have four flavors, but they do it really well considering the recipe was from the original Seattle popcorn place Kukuruza that have now been closed down. The location is really convenient if you are a tourist or local already visiting the infamous Seattle Pike Place Market. Very small store that was closed many times throughout the day. I received a notification that they "pissed off" someone and had a 4th of July online event. I purchased six bags of our favorite popcorn. When I opened my box, I could not think of anything else but these bags of popcorn are smaller than our original purchases!!! Wth? So, coinciding with my cheap ex boyfriend, I brought out my eight cup Pampered Chef measuring cup. Something he would do. Our first bag of popcorn was not the nine cups they advertised. I liked the popcorn, but the price was too much. But this is some mighty fine popcorn. It's not Chicago-worthy, but it's good. I tried the sample and got the large three-pack of popcorn and it was gone before I left Seattle, something that doesn't always happen. I stuck with the savory flavors and that's always good. The person working there was very nice. It's hard to imagine all of the popcorn that they had was being made in that location, but it was good nonetheless. The only unfortunate thing is their location. I found them by accident, otherwise I wouldn't have known that they were there. It's a cute clean spot, and clearly they have a following. We had to try all the freshly popped flavors, and Rowan, one of the three owners, was there and he was super kind and welcoming, really making the whole experience feel personal. We got to sample every flavor, and while I loved the classic kettle corn (perfect balance of sweet and salty), the brown butter sea salt was a close second--rich and savory without being overpowering. My friends couldn't get enough of the cheddar, and I thought the vanilla salted caramel was really good but just a tad too sweet for my personal taste. It's great they have online orders, so I can get some shipped to me when I'm back in California because it didn't take long for me to eat the whole bag. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area! My wife and I are local Seattleites and we are so glad that we finally discovered this Seattle treasure! The customer service by the staff is great and the product is amazing! Cobb's has some of the BEST popcorn that I have ever tasted. It is fresh, delicious, and has a wonderful taste that will leave your taste buds happy! We bought the brown butter & sea salt popcorn and the cheddar cheese popcorn. Both are phenomenal! The brown butter flavor is perfect and the cheddar is just the perfect taste of cheddar. The popcorn is fresh and have that delicious fresh popcorn taste. My wife and I will be regular customers from this point forward. The popcorn is $$$$, but please know this is a small business and you are supporting a small business, not a large chain, so naturally, prices will be more expensive. Large might have been a better deal and I would have gotten more popcorn. They use the same type of kernels that kukuruza used but don't have as many fun flavors to choose from. I purchased a bag to go of the Movie Time popcorn to enjoy however they have multiple options for you. Just a note this place gives you the tourist price's of $13 for small bag and $18 for large bag but hey this is Seattle and most likely your on vacation so splurge on a quality treat! My company ordered in bulk - individually sized bags of popcorn - for a holiday party, and wow, I can't believe I am impressed by popcorn, given the fact that I am generally not a fan of popcorn as it can get stale really easily and it makes my mouth very dry after eating some. This place is a bit different than the typical popcorn place. In general, the popcorn texture has a nice crunch (not the hard crunch like fried chicken, but the soft crunch), yet you don't shudder like low quality popcorn where you practically scratch the texture of styrofoam. Flavor is quite prominent and makes eating even a small quantity of popcorn very satisfying; however, it is quite addicting (I already ate half the bag of each flavor in a matter of a few hours while working) The 2 flavors I got to try were the Vanilla Salted Caramel and the Brown Butter and Sea Salt. For the sweet tooth, vanilla salted caramel is on point; for me, it is a bit too sweet for my liking but I can see people really enjoying this a lot. However, I don't really notice the salt as much as I hoped as the sweetness masks the saltiness. The brown butter and sea salt definitely is the winner for me, as it is not sweet but it is super flavorful and jam packed with buttery goodness. This one has very very small amounts of sea salt, but it seems intentional to not take away from the authentic flavor experience. Even if I had to pay retail price for it, which seems to be in the $12-15 range per bag (?) that runs a bit larger than the individually sized bags I got from the company bulk order, it is still quite worthwhile given the quality. I will definitely make a trip back, perhaps a nice holiday gift. One thing of note is that from the last time I walked by (and bookmarked the place cause it gave a good impression), this place is a bit hidden. If memory recalls, it's located a few flights of stairs down the main Pike Place Market area, as I noticed this place when I went up the stairs from the Alaskan waterfront area. read more

Literally flew this popcorn back to NY and now it's making its way across to Asia to my family... haha. It's SO good. At first I was mentally questioning why the small bag cost over $19 but the 8 cups of popcorn of the salt blend flavor (I was in a time crunch so I didn't have time to try the others unfortunately!) were the BEST popcorn I've ever had. To be fair I don't eat popcorn often but when I do, I usually buy it from everywhere I travel to get a taste of the local favorites... so I'd like to think that I've tried the best of the best around. I love how clean the ingredients are and you can taste how fresh it is too. 22 cups of it would be a large, which is only $5 more.. but really couldn't fit it into my luggage so I didn't do it.
