Awesome shop in Pike Place Market. They get you by offering free samples, and before you know it, you're buying a bag or two! It's my favorite gift to buy people when I travel. When I was grabbing some presents, they also gave me a little extra package of cherries since I spent over $75. If you're more budget friendly and don't have any allergies, you can buy their bags of "Cherry Bombs" which are their factory seconds (aka misshapen or funny looking bits) which are equally delicious and gives you a good variety. You just can't tell ahead of time what each covered morsel is though, so it's a surprise. So strange, I've lived in Seattle during my college years and never paid any attention to Chukar Cherries although they are posted at every retail store in the airport. Hands down one of my favorite vendors at Pike Place Market. You see, I have the biggest sweet tooth and it's getting worse as I get older...but cherries have antioxidants...and those are good for you...so, the way I see it, Chukar Cherries are healthy ;) With that said, Chukar Cherries are absolutely delicious. We ordered online a bunch of cherry quartet and cherry blossom 2.75oz packs to give to like 40+ extended family folks, and it went great with pretty red packaging and not too heavy to carry. Cherry quartet offers four great varieties, especially the milk and dark covered whole bing cherries and the dark covered rainier. The cherry blossoms were cute with the pink colored white chocolate coating. Chukar takes quality seriously so they use gourmet chocolate (guittard) and fresh dried whole cherries usually (except for the dried tart cherries). Not cheap and hard to find big deals but worth it. Found Chukar Cherries during my recent visit to Seattle and I am so happy I did. I appreciated that they let me sample a few different cherries to see what I wanted to take home. They also offered a discount if you purchased more than one bag. I left with the Amaretto Rainier cherries and they were delicious! They barely made it home because they are such a perfect snack. So when I was introduced to these, I was very hesitant. BUT THEN MY LIFE CHANGED. You can truly taste the freshness and quality of the cherries and chocolate. Pre-covid, this stand at Pike's Place was EXTREMELY generous with sampling. The staff are friendly, patient, and so knowledgeable. Honestly they wouldn't give you attitude if you sampled 10 chocolate balls and walked away. That's how nice they are!! I was in chocolate heaven. I tried so many, my taste buds could not keep track of which ones I loved because I LOVED THEM ALL. It's REALLY hard to choose which bag to go with because they're allllll so delicious. If you're looking to buy something for friends back home or just for yourself, BUY THIS. Skip the postcard and Seattle mugs. The only regret you'll have is not buying more when you run out the first week you finish a bag because they are that addicting. The only slightly downside is that you can easily spend $50-$100 on just a few bags. The bags are not cheap but honestly you can't get these anywhere else so I think it's worth it. Whenever we travel we always like to visit some of the local shops for local foods. We enjoy different grocery stores as different parts of the Country have different foods and items that are not available where we live or as fresh. Some examples of this are the fried nuts we found in Charleston or Dukes mayonnaise usually found in the South. Cherries are prevalent in Washington and Chukar Cherries has all sorts of snacks and treats. They have different nuts, granolas and different jams to name just a few. We elected to get some Cherry Blossoms which were chocolate covered cherries and some cocoa covered honey roasted pecans. The lady at the booth was very friendly answering our questions and even offered a couple of samples. We were in Prosser where they are located and I got to try Tart Cherries covered in Dark Chocolate with Orange - and fell in love! So good! Their stand in located right tin the center of Pike Place Market on the main level. I'm not even a huge fan of cherries, but I wanted to see what the hype was about. These were pretty damn good!!! The people who were helping us were also super sweet. Prices of each bag cost $10.50. It hurt a little to pay considering it's not the largest bag, but I did it for my friends and family back home! They do have a little deal where if you buy in pairs, you'll save a few. The more pairs you buy the more you save. (ex: If you buy 2 bags, you save $1. If you buy 4 bags, you save $1.50 etc.) Here is what I tried: ---TRUFFLE CHERRIES: Comes with dried bing cherries covered with milk chocolate and sweet cocoa. This was my favorite of the ones that I tried, although I loved them all really. AMAZING!! Perfect combo! ---HONEY PECAN: Comes with honey-roasted praline pecans covered in artisan milk chocolate and powdered sugar. I liked this but found this a little too sweet if I ate too much haha. I still loved it and this was my dad's favorite! ---BING CHERRIES: Comes with dried bing cherries and cherry essence and covered with milk chocolate. When I asked how this compared to their classic milk cherries, the main difference was this had an added cherry essence juice that's in the middle of each bite. Chukar Cherries​: a dried cherry shop native to Washington that was introduced to me at Pike Place Market. The cherries here are so delicious. They have your standard dried Bing cherries, Rainier cherries (My personal favorite), and various chocolate covered cherries. I ended up with dried organic Rainier cherries, Chipotle chocolate cherries and tangerine chocolate cherries. In addition to dried cherries they also sell preserves and nuts. They offer discounts for buying two items and bigger discounts for buying four items. Service here was so friendly and the lovely young woman helping me was willing to let me sample as many cherries as I desired before deciding on my cherry bonanza. Cherries are one of those things that I just totally love either sweet with a pit or covered in that dark chocolate goodness that always hit the spot! This little stand is located inside Pike Place Market on the top floor so it's pretty easy to find your way here and definitely make sure you do because the cherries are totally rewarding! They offer a ton of different delicious cherry variations from sweet to savory they've got you covered in every cherry way! By far the dessert cherries are some of the best ones you can get anywhere they are just soo flavorful you can't pass up bringing home a jar or two! We totally brought home some of these delicious cherries in both dessert forms of course by this I mean the ones in a jar and the the chocolate covered ones in the bag which I just enjoyed one here back at home as I wrote this review! My cousins are locals of Seattle but they didn't know about Chukar at Pike Place until my fiancé got a recommendation from his boss. It's a pretty big stand tucked into the inside part of the main strip but it's near the fresh flower stand. It's nice that they let you try samples before you buy! If you buy multiples, they offer discounts! We ended up getting the milk chocolate cherries, dark chocolate cherries, and the cherry bings. The bings were my favorite ones! **If you have a peanut/tree nut allergy, they do manufacture their products on equipment that share the same surface. Although they do clean their machines, I would recommend that you be cautious in trying their cherries depending on how severe your allergy is! read more

I was introduced to Chukar cherries by my sister in law. I live in California so I order items for gifts online. I splurged and ordered the caramel corn for home and the product is not as depicted and not very tasty. I contacted customer service and they said that is what it is like. The cherries are cemented into the caramel corn and you barely get any cherry taste through the caramel and pecan. If you do get a cherry it is so cooked into the sugar that it sticks to your teeth. Not very enjoyable. I highly recommend their other products but skip the caramel corn. read more

I found out about this place through a food tour and was able to get the 411 on how this business started. Bottom line, the lady who decided to buy the cherry orchards knew nothing about growing them so she left that to all the harvesters and focused on the creativity part, thus all the cherry products this store has to offer. I'm all for natural ingredients that I can pronounce with a minimal keycount but more importantly, I love dark chocolate covered anything. Enter their CABERNET CHERRIES which is enveloped with dark chocolate. This has no alcohol content but is paired wonderfully with wine. A bag is about $10 and you get a small box for free if you sign up for their promo emails. I saved a buck from the 10% discount card that I got at the end of the tour. Yay for more money in my pocket! Another product worth raving about is their PEACH CHERRY SALSA but don't limit yourself when you're here. Again, sample away.
