I've never stayed on a property where you are escorted to your room upon checking in and are offered an introduction to all of the details. There are small luxuries everywhere you look. Upscale toiletries and fixtures, the smoothest sheets I've ever slept on, complimentary snack basket in your room. In addition the downtown is charming and immaculate. Flowers overflowing from hanging baskets and decorative pots, Avenue Bread right off the hotel lobby (IYKYK) and cute locally owned shops. Put this inn on your bucket list!

There are a lot of perks to staying here. The price was comparable during our stay to other hotels that don't have quite the quaint feel, level of service, or room appeal. During your stay you can get complimentary passes to a couple gyms/pools in town. You either make the walk or drive to them however. I do enjoy an attached gym and pool. That was the only downside. You can also get a free pass for a yoga class! The yoga studio is two stores down and seems so fun. I would have scheduled a massage here as it was super reasonably priced for 60 or 90 minutes, but the last booking was nabbed by the time I made up my mind. Also, free bike check out if you happen to be here during nicer weather. Too cold for us. In the room you'll find quality bath amenities, free snacks and drinks, coffee maker, water kettle, teas, and a decent sized fridge. The bathroom had ample towels and nice shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers (simple human). There was a hair dryer (not the best) and a lighted makeup mirror. If you've forgotten something (toothbrush/paste, razor, etc) they have some convenient supplies at their front desk per the in-room info folder. The only thing you'll want to note is that our sink/mirror was outside of the shower/bathroom if that matters to you or your roomate. Very clean and appreciate that pets are not allowed here. Would definitely stay here again. Parking: Ample street parking adjacent to the hotel during our stay.

The bed was very old, can feel the springs when you sit on it. The 2 pillows were flat. Carpet is stained and needs to be replaced. Walls inside are dirty looking. Shower has this weird accordion style door. I didn't see any orchids or toiletries set up like in the pictures posted. The bed and pillows looked nothing like what was posted with the couple laying on the fluffy pillows and plush bed. This could be a really cute place if they did a total remodel. Overall, the place gave me the heebie jeebies. I would not recommend staying here.

The pictures posted by this "business" DO NOT REFLECT what this place actually looks like! It's a total grimy shady dump! Sleeping in your car, or even the sidewalk would be a complete upgrade to any time spent here. There are literally zero amenities. No ice machine, no soda machine, no vending machine, no on site laundry facility. Hell, theres really not even wifi. The wifi service bumps you off every 30-45 seconds, and you have to sign back in and accept terms over and over again. Like its pathedic. Then management acts like they have no clue how to reset the router. Maybe its buried outside, because the signal is non existent. MAYBE not even the wifi router is willing to stay at this location! Then there the complete lack of customer service, the completely incompetent "r You ABSOLUTELY CANNOT contact the office 24hrs a day. They don't seem to be reachable regularly let alone 24 hrs a day. There is not any coffee available, no breakfast, NO ROOM SERVICE! HA WHAT A JOKE. Unless of course your speaking of the resident drug dealer. He may service you and your room. Or maybe the OWNERS. Who when I was staying there, went into a persons room, let their dog just go, a large 100+ lb dog, let out to just run, then blatantly went through the room, removed somebody's property, and then changed their locks. Were not discreet AT ALL. Caused quite a scene in fact for guests to see. Then proceeded to have animal control come and take away the animal, who clearly is taken care of, and not abused, whatsoever. Very clean, healthy, happy, bouncy dog. Just disgusting behavior on the propertys part. I watched the girl come home like 30 minutes later in complete disbelief as she wasn't able to access the room, and once she did gain access, she completely lost it to see that her pet was stolen along with her property. Soon after several cop cars arrived and the lady was NOT removed from the property, quite the contrary actually. The managers tried to play dumb but were sternly scolded by law enforcement for lying about the entire situation regarding the tenant, who by the way, was actually a resident who has lived there for a year. (I could hear the entire conversation as I was right next to the office and adjacent from the room that was ripped off by the owners of the property who quickly left to where ever they came from to leave their uneducated "manager" to deal with the whole debacle). What the owners did here was 1000 percent illegal, and I hope that gal sues the the windmill off this place. Oh and did I mention the black mold that was present all over the walls of my bathroom. And the amounts of meth/fentanyl being smoke a couple doors away? If the health department took a sample of these walls, I'm sure this whole facility would be gutted, and probably the biggest favor for the City of Lynden! What a disgusting eyesore as soon as you enter this town. And around these parts, they say "If you ain't Dutch...you ain't much!" this place ain't much at all but an infected herpe on the outskirts of this town! Real classy Lynden, real classy!

As soon as we entered the lobby it felt like we were entering a boutique hotel somewhere in Europe, and when we found our room - "Under the Tuscan Sun" - that was only accentuated even more. It was a quiet place, beautifully decorated, with everything we needed. The breakfasts cooked by Sandi were absolutely amazing, and Chris was a gracious server and conversationalist. They are also host to many different birds - Chris mentioned something like 150 varieties sighted around them. We had hummingbirds coming right up to the window beside our table at breakfast. Though we were really only a few kilometres from home, it felt like we'd gone much further away. Thanks, Chris and Sandi, for your wonderful hospitality.

Restaurant was a nightmare, kitchen bar was sadly understaffed. We got there early for our 6:30 reservation, had to wait which is reasonable since we were early but they started seating walk-in sat 6:35 and we questioned it and suddenly our table was ready. Waitress was absent most of the time, she literally walked away from our table Mid order because she got distracted. 20min later we flagged down our bus boy and eventually got out waitress. Dinner arrived around 8:30 (6:30 reservation) and was just my husbands barely warm fish and chips, my food arrived a bit later. There were rotating items daily: omelettes (cheese and western), scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, Canadian back bacon, sausages, home fries, pancakes, waffles, berry compote, muffins, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee and tea. The ladies continually brought out food and cleaned the tables, always friendly & efficient. There was coffee and water always available in the lobby so we could keep our water bottles filled. We initially booked for 4 days, but were so happy that we booked an additional 3 days. I would stay here again and heartily recommend it.

The not-so-good: First things first, there is a train very close by. They provide ear plugs, but that's still not ideal.
