I'm an extrovert so I enjoyed having breakfast with total strangers and talking to them, but I also enjoyed being able to head to my room at night and get some reading done in peace and quiet. I stayed in the Blue Room, upstairs in the main house. large, comfortable bed, a shower/bathroom, reading chairs, a desk, a TV, and even a really good wifi connection. toiletries were provided, as well as towels of every size and even robes. yes, there was plenty of snow outside but the house was always warm and cozy. I actually popped open my window at one point to cool the room down a bit. the White House Inn is walking distance to plenty of restaurants, shopping, and of course the Baseball Hall of Fame. the pricing was pretty fair, I felt, for the convenience and location and of course being able to say that I was in the White House. I would definitely return.

There's "quaint," and there's "old." This was more the latter. Wallpaper peeling off the switch in…read morethe bathroom, trim in need of paint. Wires seemingly everywhere. Outside needs a paint job (we visited in June, so winter weather was no excuse.). Business office in the kitchen was a mess. Open storage spaces/closets fiilled with old stuff. Great food can make or break a B&B, and it was so disappointing (cold, stale pancakes, cold sausage, unripe fruit) that we went elsewhere for breakfast the second day. People were nice, location was good, but we thought it was overpriced for the quality.

Certain weekends/events in Cooperstown can have Main B&B booked solid without an early reservation. Prices vary per season and the events taking place in town. This B & B is located within walking distance to downtown - leave your car parked at the B & B. Street parking and lot parking is available. I parked on the street many times staying here and had no problem. There are three different bedrooms to rent with your own private bathroom in each room. Bedrooms have hardwood floor with floor rugs. Breakfast is served between 8 and 9am, and Susan is a wonderful cook. I have always enjoyed her dishes. They provide you a front door key to enter the house after "closing" time, and you are also provided a key to your bedroom. This B & B is not handicap accessible - all bedrooms are on the second floor. Stairs wrap around and are only wide enough for those who may need to use crutches or a cane. This is an old Victorian style home, decorated beautifully providing you a warm welcome during your stay in Cooperstown. I have stayed here twice, and I highly recommend the Main Street B & B.

Very quaint and cozy bed and breakfast, basically what I imagine when I think of what a B&B is. We…read moreonly met Suzie, but she was an absolute delight and very sociable. They only have three rooms so service is personal and you feel at home. We were only there one night so didn't hang around too much, but breakfast in the morning was perfect and again, Suzie was fantastic. We stayed in the Queen Anne Room, which has a queen sized bed and a private bathroom. We could hear the occupants across the hall at night (just talking, no one being loud) so I was grateful that we had that room as it's separate from the other two across the hall. The room was very clean, as was the living space downstairs and the yard/porch were all kept very clean. As a young couple we were a little disappointed with the lacking night life in Cooperstown, but if we were to visit again we would definitely stay at Main Street B&B.
