He recently…read morerelocated from his previous location in SOMA to this new location in Cow Hollow, and I followed him here as a loyal customer. This location has been under new ownership since about April 2026 so some of the older reviews of the former owners may no longer be representative. Over the past few months, Carlos has helped me with both shoe repair, cleaning, and regular maintenance of my leather products, and I recommend him for any of the following services for which I have used: * Preparing brand new leather shoes or boots before wearing them for the first time. Carlos will moisturize the leather and shine them to provide some added protection before you start wearing them outside. * Repairing leather imperfections or stitching on the inside of the footwear from wear and tear. * Widening narrow shoes by stretching them from "E" width to "EEE" for better comfort. * Providing regular maintenance of leather shoes by removing old layers of shoe polish and wax, moisturizing and reapplying new polish, and then buffing the leather so that it shines. * During this round of shoe cleaning, Carlos also recommended that I add some rubber half-soles to the shoes which only had leather soles to help protect against further wear-and-tear and allow for better traction. * Carlos can even take care of Horween Shell Cordovan boots which require slightly specialized care compared to typical leather shoes. If you are looking for a cobbler in San Francisco, I would invite you to give this new local business a try. Carlos is a skilled and honest small business owner that offers fair pricing and he will ensure that your shoes, boots, and other leather products last a lifetime!

One of the heels was so worn down that the "wood" effect heel was damaged. I dropped them off on a Saturday afternoon and was asked when I wanted to pick them up. I asked what the typical turnaround time was and he said that they would be ready on Tuesday. I was pleasantly surprised because frequently shoe repair places take longer than that. I mentioned that Wednesday would be the earliest I could pick them up, and he said that he would have them ready anyway. I collected them today and my ankle boots look like new! As well as the new heels, he cleaned the suede. Excellent service. Also, I was able to pay by credit card.

Mak…read morehad great reviews, so I decided to come early and get a quote since they were open on Saturday. I needed to get my boots' soles replaced and was thinking about completely swapping the soles too. Mak provided me a reasonable quote for the rebuild and was also very knowledgeable in the shoe care tips he shared with me. He said he would complete an entire rebuild of both leather boots' soles within the day, and I was able to come before closing time to pick them up. I accepted and left my boots and contact information. Separately from my experience with the shoe repair, a couple came in after me to do a watch repair as I was leaving. Within seconds, Mak was able to identify the problem and said it'd take 10 minutes to fix. Talk about someone who knows their craft very well! He sent a text less than 2.5 hours later letting me know they was ready for pickup. I came before the store closed to pick them up. The boots' soles were revitalized, I put them on and walked around the store with them. I was very happy. Mak is awesome, gets your shoe repair done quickly with reasonable prices, and I will absolutely going to Mak for any shoe repairs I may have in the future!

I turned to Yelp for help and luckily stumbled upon Marina Cleaners. If you are very particular about your clothes and have expensive designer pieces that you want to keep in excellent condition after their trip to the cleaners then I recommend you bring your clothes here. I repeat, THIS IS THE PLACE TO TAKE YOUR NICE DESIGNER CLOTHES. I had this pair of Burberry Prorsum pants that were very tricky to get cleaned given their material (combination of leather and wool), even the store could not recommend a place to take them. Marina Cleaners was very upfront about being careful where I take them, recommended where I should go and had them sent there for me. I really appreciated them not just saying "no, we can't help you" but going out of their way to find a place that could. Yes, the services they provide are not cheap, but I figure it's part of the upkeep cost to having expensive clothing and at least I can rest assured knowing that they're in good hands.

The heel tip on my favorite pair of Pineapple Outfitter heels from Taipei wore out after a night…read moreout for my friend's birthday recently. I was devastated because these are hands down the best heels I've ever purchased. When I bought the shoes, they came with an extra set of heel tips, so I bought a pair of heel tip pliers on Amazon for just over $14 to see if I could do a quick fix. I soon realized the original heel tip screw was glued or wedged tightly into the heel, so to avoid damaging the shoe, I searched on Yelp for shoe repair shops and found Odsy. Odsy is open during somewhat odd hours, so I timed carefully when to go during a break in the workday. It only took about 2 minutes to explain my issue to the guy working the shop, drop off the shoes, and get a return slip for the next day. He remarked that my replacement heel tips were plastic but said they'd use their own more durable rubber tips. Quoted at $15, which is basically the same as the pliers I returned, I wish I would've just gone here first, but at least now I know for next time. When I returned to pick up the shoes, I was informed that none of the rubber heel tips fit my shoes, so they used my spare set of plastic tips that came with the shoes when I bought them and only charged me $10 for the work. I'm very satisfied with the work done and so relieved to have my shoes back in a functional state. I'd highly recommend Odsy for your shoe repair needs and will certainly come back myself for any future repairs.

That's so sick and modern. I'm definitely gonna be back for more worn pairs.
