I had a great lunch here! The French onion soup is delicious with a great cheese pull! Very tasty broth and a wonderful block of cheese on top.See picture. I ordered a patty melt with a side salad and my friend got the fried calamari. The patty melt was buttery and delicious on crispy whole wheat toast, perfectly cooked medium rare. The calamari was lightly fried and tender. Our server was really fast and efficient. We will be back!

Before the other night, I had not been to Cobble Stone in years - probably not since 2014 when Baby Yelper Jason wrote his initial review. I don't work too far from here, so when my parents called me at work asking if I wanted to join them for dinner, I jumped at the opportunity to rediscover this place. I used to frequent Cobble Stone back in the day when my brother was a student at SUNY Purchase - from what I can gather it's a hangout for the college crowd but also a spot for locals. The aesthetic is old school pub - it's really no frills with a mostly wooden interior and a casual aesthetic. The staff here usually perform all tasks - waiting, bussing, and hosting. After we were seated, we were given physical menus but I noticed QR codes on the tables as well. There were also instructions on how to connect to the in-house wifi which I was pleasantly surprised to see. I remember one of my gripes with Cobble Stone was that cell service was non-existent, but I assume they needed to install wifi so that patrons can connect and view the online menu. Speaking of the menu, they have a wide selection - classic dishes, sandwiches, salads, and apps were all present. Solid offerings - nothing too out of the ordinary but enough to make it interesting. I started with the French Onion which was tasty - big onion flavor and just the right amount of cheese on top. I was feeling a wrap, so I went with the shrimp poboy. It was quite good - lots of shrimp with lettuce, cabbage, aioli, and bacon that provided good contrast. The fries it came with were nothing outstanding but good nonetheless. Overall, I enjoyed my rediscovery of Cobble Stone. The upgraded technology, combined with the solid food offerings and causal interior makes it an ideal go-to spot in Purchase.

OK place, close to the colleges. The soup and salad were mediocre, the pulled pork sandwich as well. Service was OK, nothing special.

We ordered the chicken sandwich, the spicy chicken sandwich, and the house burger. Overall, the food was good. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and enjoyed it, although I was expecting a bit more heat. It was flavorful but tasted milder than I anticipated. The desserts looked beautiful (as you can see in the photo). I didn't try one myself, so I can only share what my friends said. They thought they were good, though nothing particularly memorable. It was an extremely hot day, so we were looking forward to ordering sangria. Unfortunately, even though it's listed on the menu, they weren't serving it, which was a little disappointing. The service was good, friendly and attentive, though fairly average overall. One thing I will say is that I prefer the atmosphere in the evenings. The vibe feels more lively and enjoyable than it does during lunchtime.

Apparently, it has 4 kitchens. They cater and also has space for wedding receptions. The staff was impeccable, friendly and professional. They were accommodating and attentive. They offered red or white wine to the guests as well as passed out champagne at the beginning for the toast. Later they had coffee or tea to go with the dessert. The food varied. The appetizers, spicy shrimp and Italian meatballs, were addictive. The arugula salad was nicely presented and flavors meshed well. The pasta with peas was al dented. The side dishes of mixed vegetables and potatoes were decent. The main dishes were hit or miss. There were three: salmon, steak, and chicken marsala. The salmon was flavorful but a little dry. The chicken marsala was very dry and was saved by the delicious sauce with mushrooms. The best was the steak which was perfectly tender and medium rare. The dessert was some small pastries and fruit which was presented nicely. It is a very classy place with good service.

Starter: Steak Tidbits -- sizzling filet mignon bites cooked perfectly medium rare, super tender, and packed with flavor. The horseradish sauce gave it just the right kick without overpowering the meat. Could've eaten a plate of these as a meal. Mains: Steak Sandwich: Juicy grilled skirt steak piled high with caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms on fresh wedge bread. Fries were crisp and hot. Big portion, worth the price. Grilled Chicken & Avocado Wrap: Nicely done -- fresh tomato, spicy mayo with a little heat, and the sourdough wrap held up well. Another generous portion with good fries. North Street Bacon Cheeseburger: Classic and satisfying. Perfectly cooked patty, melted cheese, crispy bacon, and a soft brioche bun. Fries again on point. Service was quick and attentive without hovering. The place was lively but not too loud -- great for catching up over a meal. Prices are fair for the quality. Bottom line: Reliable local tavern with consistently good food and solid portions. Everything came out hot and cooked right. I'd definitely go back.
