I recently moved back to Toronto, and wanted to get a nice, dressy winter coat that was also warm.
It was late March and end of their winter season, but their showroom still had many coats available and everything was on sale.
These are fabulous, well crafted pieces that are actually made in Toronto! The quality of the materials, the design and craftsmanship are stellar.
They are not "cheap" per se, but when you factor in the high quality and the fact that these coats will continue to look amazing for years, it's actually a bargain.
Plus in this world climate, I think it's important that we try to keep manufacturing in Canada!
The owner John was very friendly and patient, spending about 45 minutes helping me try on coats until I found the perfect one. The thoughtful touches on the coat to make it warm, yet stylish is insane.
Fur lined pockets! Extra hidden layer to keep you warm. Clever design that ensures the fit is fabulous but with an extra piece in the front to ensure no sneaky blast of cold wind gets in. I'm quite confident that this is as warm if not warmer than my ugly puffer coat!
Did I mention how exquisite the fabric is? Omg. It is beautiful to look at and also feels so soft and sleek.
They have a workshop in the back and do alterations for their coats as well as any others that you bring in.
Lisa, John's sister was very helpful and she was responding to my emails at 10:30pm on a Sunday night (!) and again at 7am the next morning! By the end of my time at the shop, John felt like a friend. What a lovely, kind man!!
John said that they will have their spring coats out after Easter, and I will definitely be going back!
Btw, the Apple Maps app showed the place as "permanently closed" which is a lie. They're going to try and fix it.
