I had a very poor experience with this storage facility, especially with their billing practices. To start, I moved in 1 week befor the end of the month and was charged a full month's fee. I stupidly assumed, I would be charged again in 30 days. Not so, I was charged a full month's fee again one week later. This billing policy was never explained to me. I understand most storage units have hidden fees, but this was blatent overcharging. When I questioned the attendant, he responded that I probably shouldn't have been charged a full month's fee for 1 week of storage. He could not adjust my bill. I needed to speak to the owner to have that done. I called many times, left messages, and the owner never responded. I gave up.
A couple months later, upon moving out of the unit on the last day of the month, I was assured that my credit card would not be billed for the following month. I was billed $120 for the next month. I called relentlessly to get this charge removed. Every time the attendant said he couldn't help me, I needed to speak to the owner. The owner was never in when I called and never returned a message. I finally had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get my money back.
Beyond the billing difficulties, the facility has limited hours you can access your storage unit. There is one attendant with many jobs. In order to access my unit, I would have to run around and look for him, because he would be out mowing the lawn. I always felt I was an inconvience and the attendant was routinely flustered. The storage area had an odor that left all my things needing to air out after I left. I think this may be becuase the units are divided by plywood. It was a bit of a musty smell.
All in all, I would not recommend this storage facility. I've used many different storage facilities and have found much better service and quality. read more
