Got charge for a storage I never knew about, and the manager and workers knew it but instead of…read morestopping the transaction told me I needed to find out who did it and get it from them..I called the police and uhaul center as I'm doing that manager walks out and said we can print a paper out for you to sign to get a refund in 3-5 day.but our power is off right now I'll call you tomorrow to come by..the whole time uhaul is on the phone and hears this and tell me to call back if I need to..we 3 days went by no call so I call them, she answer and said I'll call you back, which she did saying they decided to refund me that day she all the info she needed,,5 hours went by no refund I call I was told she left and would be back, I called uhaul center back the called her and got told the same thing which they went ahead and open a case for me..I called Newport back to see if she was back, all of sudden she was and told me now that I did that she paid through them, and said I should have waited for her to get back from the bank,,‍..pay me cash for something you took off my card..she wouldn't even open the storage for me or cop..if you charge me for it why couldn't I open it? Why couldn't she open to see if it was used? Why was the power off in a uhaul storage? 7 days still no refund from a place I didn't even know was here.. She was great to work with. Two things: 1.) I found a larger storage unit close to their home for $200 a month less. The new place is really well lit, and has lots of cameras. 2.) prime had a gate that is clearly not secure and open. I think that is something they need to fix asap. There was a young girl with dark hair, that we told about it and after being there daily for 7 days to empty the unit the gate is still open.

He said things like" get away from us and let me do my," most likely because they didn't want me seeing them drop a large antique china closet 3x. I was in my house I can be whenever and say what I want. They are getting paid and even my neighbors heard him. He told my mom. My parents had another move already scheduled with them different gentlemen showed up this time thank goodness but before they even started moving they asked for their tip! I've tried to contact the office several times especially about the first gentleman's behavior cuz it was almost abusive and nobody answers and you cannot get a hold of anyone. I'm guessing cuz they don't want these type of phone calls. The three men today said that the company tells them to ask for the tip In the beginning and my parents did buy them lunch as well and I was going to let it go but this is the second horrible experience in the first one the man was actually verbally abusive to a degree where I had to actually stick up for myself and yell. If they did a good job it might be worth it but I'm not sure that any of them actually are experienced in this I've had several moves myself and have never witnessed people dropping furniture like this or asking for a tip or being rude. To give context, I had a recent cross-country moving experience with an entirely different moving company that left me pretty traumatized from their level of deceit. This was NOT the case with Gentle Giant. They gave me accurate quotes. I was also able to readjust my list of items to be moved, and was reminded it was based on hours. The movers wrapped, prepped, and loaded my furniture swiftly and carefully, and went above and beyond at my new rental when I needed unexpected extra assistance. In 2015 I was planning to move abroad. I rented out my house and put all the belongings that I was…read morekeeping in storage with Jones. I was led to believe that my furniture would be in its own little storage compartment and not get disturbed. The furniture that I kept was all mid century collectible furniture in excellent condition. I ended up moving back into my house two years later. Almost every single piece of furniture was damaged or banged up in some way. On one of the larger pieces was a sign indicating it was in a storage room for oversize pieces. For sure my furniture was not in its own little compartment, and it obliviously was carelessly moved around many times. They sent someone to "repair" the damage which basically entailed covering it up with a magic marker. A really disappointing experience. Would not trust them again with anything valuable to me.
