That's when it hit me--she wasn't just staring, she was judging us for simply speaking our language. When we needed help at the self-checkout, I heard her mutter under her breath, "Ugh, Mexicans." I was honestly shocked. I've never experienced that kind of open racism before, and I never thought I would. It's disgusting that someone who treats people like that is allowed to work in customer service. No one--especially families just trying to shop--should be made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome because of their background or language. People like her have no business working with the public. I'm never coming back, and I truly hope something is done about this.
