Workers aren't great. We bought chickens yesterday and they knew nothing about them which the worker is supposed to know about them but they didn't so and she took our paper for our chickens and she wouldn't give us the paper back. She checked our ID just to buy a certain type of chicken. That's ridiculous. Who needs an ID for a chicken? Like they do that and whatever could fit in the bucket and if it was $40 you get 20% off for everything that can fit in the bucket. And to me that was kind of ridiculous!!!!!!!!! read more

Lesson Learned. Never Order On-Line Ordered $85.00 of products online No email received with an order number. Checked Bank, yep funds taken out. Called the store to find, yes they received it but they are short handed because it's a holiday and won't be able to fill the order. So, I drove from Gold Bar and repurchase everything and couldn't get a refund or cancel the online order. Came home and called the store to get a manager to help and was told basically until maybe next week they can't refund the order! It's a holiday! Well, maybe you should just close on the holiday since it's not convenient for staff to accommodate your customers? ‍ I'm not wealthy and $85 is a lot to be missing from my checking account! Especially on a Holiday weekend. The saving grace that makes me want to return is the girl in customer service I talked to on the phone then spent over 5 hours trying to refund my money. To her I give 5 stars. She sent everyone an email on my behalf hoping someone would fix it! She should get a bonus! read more

What a wonderful experience, talking to customer service representative Lily today! I had several questions involving pricing and Lily was more than helpful, walking the length of the store.... several times to assist me! I have come to enjoy my visits to Monroe Coastal, just for the friendly conversations at times... as much as the products! Whether going in to get a gun for my wife, a couple weeks ago? I checked online and saw what I wanted to pick up was in stock, with 22 on hand. Went into the store and couldn't find it with other related products. Asked someone to help me locate them and ended up waiting while 2 associates looked in same place, back room and couldn't find them. They proceeded to search store saying that sometimes stockers put items in incorrect areas. After 20+ minutes they gave up and said they couldn't find them. Appreciated their diligence but overall an obvious disorganized store that didn't get me what they advertised. read more

My husband and I had the best experience with Jack today. He is extremely knowledgeable and explained everything well. There was a good sized selection and several options to choose from. We didn't totally know what we wanted and he was patient with us in taking our time in decision making. We are glad we chose Costal for our shopping experience today and grateful Jack was able to help educate us to make the best purchasing decisions. They are ok. Sometimes a useful alternate to Tractor Supply but then usually Lowes has what I need.

I have never been to a Coastal store until just the other day. My usual stop was not open and Coastal was nearby. I was amazed when I walked in the door. If it is related to something outdoors, I think they have it. A good selection of yard equipment, dog and cat supplies, farm supplies, clothing and even live chicks, turkeys and some rabbits. They also have the Idaho Energy logs for sale. I could spend a very long time just wondering around and probably made many purchases. The prices are good and selection of equipment is great. I plan to come back and check out the stuff that I did not have time to see. read more

The last 3 times I was in this store I left either disappointed or angry. There's nobody there that will help finding anything, they don't have a clue what I'm asking for or they run away when they think I want to talk to them. ALSO, when we're helping ourselves such as in the shoe dept, they come over as if they're spying on us expecting us to steal shoes. I'll never go back in to another Coastal. I get better service and a better shopping experience in almost ANY other store around. I won't be back and I will tell tell friends to shop elsewhere. read more

I have been coming to Coastal for a long time, but not anymore. The service has drastically decreased. The cashiers there act like customers are an inconvenience. I am all for hiring kids fresh out of school, or still in school, but they need to at least understand simple customer service. They have a major rat problem. I have seen at least 2 rats in the store on the merchandise each time I've been in there. I understand it's a feed store, but you can still manage to keep rat poop and urine off of the merchandise. This is a major health hazard. There is rat poop all over the floor that has been swept aside rather than swept up. Chewed up merchandise. I will not be buying any food related stuff here for my pets anymore, as I don't want them to get sick... Prices are ok. A little higher than other places. I am going to the Monroe Co'op from now on for my chicken and pet food. read more

Went for their Black Friday sale - all clothing signs stated "50% off before 11". Signs were everywhere and very clear. I picked up 6 different items- not one was 50% off at the register. Their excuse was, "well this item is already $10 off so the 50% off isn't applicable". Same nonsense for every item. Horribly deceptive marketing practices. And on top of that the store has a horrible rat problem- animal food bags are covered in feces and the store reeks. Just shop Amazon and let this store fail. read more

This place has the potential to be great with a wide selection of products from bbqs to horse feed to clothing. They have nice things and pricing isn't bad.---hence the extra star Unfortunately the people who work there do not care about service. I regularly have to ask whether something is truly in stock because the feed cards are usually wrong. Register staff has poor communication with warehouse and doesn't know anything about what they are selling you. Warehouse staff criticizes register staff for being inept. Too many eye rolls and gum smacks for me to continue shopping here. read more

I was in the area visiting a family member of mine. My brother-in-law mentioned to me the great deals coastal had on chicken feed. The staff in general were very helpful, but one young man went above and beyond. He seemed much younger than the other staff members, yet was very respectful and kind to me. My joints don't move quite like they used to haha, so I really appreciated all his help. If my memory serves his name was Heber and workers like him deserve more credit for what they do! read more

There are 3 feed stores in town, Coastal, Tractor supply and the Monroe COOP. Not a fan of tractor supply. When Coastal opened I tried. I really tried to make this place work. I LOVE the large selection inside from clothes to camping, fencing and farm supplies. I've probably be in more than 6 or 7 times and I'm now done. My problem is each and every time I'm in the cashier has an issue ringing up the sale and they are always out of sometime I need. This last time I ended up having to go to the coop to get the things that they were out of. I'm sorry I really tried to like this place but I'm done. read more
