We are so happy! We are new to the Morgan Hill area and like many folks purchased new construction. the furniture and decor we had from our last home just didn't fill the space and wasn't a good match for the farmhouse style from the builder. Plus all the furniture we had was modern and it was way too low to the ground and too boxy looking for these high ceilings and real wood floors. I spent so much money and countless hours sourcing materials and buying things that ultimately did not come together, at all. That's when I found / called Karen. she came over for a consultation and we talked a little bit about the feeling I want. I didn't know much about the style that the home lend itself to, but that what I want is to be able to outsource everything to her because we don't have the time or clearly the judgment to do it on our own. She offered many ways to work together based on my comfort level but ultimately I chose a more hands off approach where I gave her my credit card information as well as cash payments, set a budget and let her do her thing. We also used her contractor for installation of multiple lighting fixtures, adding electrical outlets and moving the w/d components lower so they weren't visible when walking into the laundry room. for our family and the limited free time we have this was worth every penny we spent. We have two young children one of which has significant special-needs Karen was able to come up with a design that looks straight out of a magazine yet is able to still be a child friendly space and can accommodate our special daughter. With Karen we did the kitchen, dining room, living room, hall bath, entryway & the laundry room. I mean this house was brand new so everything looked pretty good but even in the laundry room we added butcher block slab across the top and added Decor to make it feel more like a home and bring the style together with the farmhouse build of the house. We still aren't done, but we've done each area as much or little as we've liked and once I have the interest again will move forward to the next project. I would like to change the façade of the builders fireplace, for which I will consult Karen & have her excellent contractor install. I would also like for her to decorate our front porch ar I know she suggests a bench, plants etc. but even though it sounds simple, I can't do it without her!! she is amazing!

I wanted just one single chair for our living room. I wanted help in picking out this chair so…read morethat it would go with everything else. Our living room is not what is in style today, but it is more of an "Old English" style. Not easy to find someone who would help with just one small thing. I have a chair I liked, I looked to see where their chairs were sold, and called and asked for a recommendation. Luckily they gave me Jeff's name. I was apologetic for such a small job, but he happily accepted the challenge. He found several fabrics, and we quickly picked out a green plaid one. But since he was at our house, you know how this goes......I mentioned that I hated my dining room table. Jeff suggested that we get a table that would blend with our antique buffet. Expensive, so I dragged my feet. When the chair arrived, Jeff and I spoke again. I told him that the one thing that I regretted was not getting the table. He said as with everything else, prices were going up, and I might consider doing it sooner rather than later. Jeff came out once again to look at the finishes, so that we could pick a finish that blended best with what we already have. When the table arrived, we told Jeff that our shower was leaking and it was time to update......you can see where this is going. Not only did Jeff meet us twice at tile stores, but he found someone who would replace our shower for us. (Previously we had called about 6 different people, and no one would come out, they just wanted us to send pictures, and then we never heard from them again.) I haven't even mentioned the living room pillows for my couch that brighten up the room.....Jeff is a pleasure and easy to work with.
