Heather Palmer Design did an outstanding job for us. We have a 14 year old home that was still…read morestuck in the earth tone browns of the Tuscan Renaissance era that construction design loved so much in the early 2000's . Our whole neighborhood seems to be painted in one shade of brown to another. I learned that the HOA Design Review Committee would actually prefer to maintain this look rather than let individual homeowners begin the process of updating the look of their homes to a more current design and color palate. Consistency within the individual neighborhoods of our development were apparently more important than the increase in value that continually updating your home to current design themes can accomplish. This is where engaging Heather to put forth a comprehensive application to do something different than the neighborhood had seen was key. She has worked with many different Associations and their Architectural Design Committee rules and personalities. Heather quickly put together and design and the related submission with all the required elements. They couldn't bounce our application for meeting their form requirements. It had to be a response based on actual design elements that we were asking for. Her package we submitted was outstanding. Before and after renderings. Each paint choice we wanted was supported by manufacturers paint chips. Each space on the before render that we wanted to change was clearly labeled with arrows and comments. Unfortunately our first submission was thoroughly rejected. It didn't seem they liked anything. I was upset and disappointed. this is where the importance of having Heather by my side became so clear for several reasons. First she kept me calm. It may feel personal she said but it's not. They are doing what they believe is right. So she kept me engaged and helped keep me positive. Then she took the initiative to reach out and discuss the reasons it was rejected and inquire what kind of adjustments they would suggest. The response was the basis for Heather's redesign and 2nd submission package. Eventually the 2nd review was completed and Approved! I can honestly say that without Heather and her expert guidance, unwavering support and aggressive stick to it attitude, I don't think we would have been successful. I can't give a stronger recommendation than I do here for Palmer Design and Heather. If you're contemplating accomplishing something a little different or aggressive and you know it may prove to be a challenge, sign her up! Having Heather on your Team is the winning play!
