JC is an exceptionally talented interior designer. I hired JC for an extensive remodel, and it was the first time I had worked on such a large-scale project. She was on board immediately, starting with the architectural design. She helped with critical decisions such as rearranging the floor plan, roofline, kitchen layout, windows, skylight placements, etc. She has a fantastic eye for color and textures and singularly worked on tile selection for bathrooms, fireplaces, hardwood floor color, kitchen cabinet color scheme, and the sourcing involved. Where JC shines is in creating mood boards. These helped me understand the overall feel of the interiors. She gets product availability timelines and your budget constraints, and I completely trusted her judgment on scale/proportion and product selection. When everything came in and placed where it needed to be---the result was simply stunning. The home feels like it came out of a design magazine. I recommend JC without ANY reservations---you would be lucky to have her on your team! read more

JC and her team have made all the difference in turning my house into the home I've always wanted! She has worked closely with me over the past year plus while doing a complete tear down and remodel. From the very early planning stages to finishes touches, I don't know how I could've done this without her. Building a house can be extremely overwhelming, but JC was always a bright spot in the process. She is very attentive and was always willing to dig in and help in any and every way she could. Her planning and vision, not to mention organization, was beyond helpful. I'm convinced she can do anything! read more

Rarely does a client show up and know exactly what they want for a new sectional in their great room. Victoria instilled such confidence in my client Jennifer C that we quickly wrote up a beautiful large L-shaped sectional in exactly the body fabric and pillow fabric that she recommended! The timing was perfect and Jennifer got a great sale price too! Thank you so much Victoria and Ricco Style! Rick W. Senior Designer @ Bassett Furniture, San Jose read more

I found JC to be super nice and friendly and quite a cool gal. I asked her to help me furnish my living room from scratch. But when she sent me the mood board with the wrong person's name and didn't even wait to get the ideas emailed from me and my husband, I was surprised. I contacted her and she stated she would work with me but still charged me quite a bit for a design that I really did not like. I then sent her some modifications and she continued to drag her feet in a response and then told me she would charge me quite a bit more for the changes. As I was getting frustrated on delays, I went ahead and ordered a couch that she recommended. When I received it, the color was very bright and different from that on the website. She asked me if I had ordered a fabric swatch beforehand and I hadn't because I thought that's what someone who charges $200 per hour already confirms. I have shown the design to several friends and family trying to get some positive feedback that all my money wasn't wasted and that I could still pursue buying the other items. NO ONE thought it looked nice. read more

This is my big, happy THANK YOU hug to JC. I have been so fortunate to have had her guidance now over the last 5 months or so as I've been trying to bring my house back after 'letting it go' a bit while my kids were very young. She is all that the reviews say and more. She is efficient, she comes with ideas, she assesses well. And when she's done my mind is 'swimming' a bit but I've got a list of things to get done and guidance on how and where to do it. I could name 10 reasons why she is worth calling versus trying to do it on your own, but I'll highlight a few: 1. PAINT colors, she just knows. Its so much better than going to the paint store 3 times, painting parts of a room and trying to assess over a day or so if you've got the right color and still wondering. Its like watching a magician... how do you know JC, are you sure? And yup, she knows. :-) 2. I think if you've lived with furniture and things for awhile, you need a fresh pair of eyes to help you see how it can change... that is exactly how she helped me: keep this, change this, buy this, move this... and thank you JC, I just didn't see it that way, that is what I needed. 3. New and great places to buy things, duh right, but so great to have alternative places to look versus just PB, Crate and Barrel, World Market. And not that she doesn't use and know those places too (and she is certainly conscious of costs and budget so no ego about where you buys things) but she has expanded my options of where to look. 4. I'm returning less, which I love. I just don't quite 'see' things as well as JC so my 'modis operadis' has been to buy say 4 rugs (or throw pillows, bedspreads, anything), put them in the room, look at them for a day or so (or sometimes 5 minutes) and say, 'nope, that's wrong' and then go through the hassle of returning it. 5. She is very thoughtful about helping put together a 'kid friendly' house, not even 'kid friendly, more like 'kid fun'. JC has young kids of her own and she understands the extra challenges and doesn't dismiss them, she helps and makes sure that part works, so the whole family can enjoy the house together (lots of pillows and cushions for kid-forts :-)), and I appreciate that very very much. And as other reviews have already mentioned, I do like the way she works, its maybe a 2 hour meeting and a lot gets done, plus you are set up to do the work yourself, which is the right way for a person like myself that needs to be involved in details. And lastly, she is just fun and its happiness to see her. Its as if she is here in my house right now as a friend, caring about the place I live in and allowing me to love it even more than I already do. Thank you so much JC! read more

We contacted Ricco Style requesting help with paint colors on very short notice. We were very fortunate that Victoria was able to help us on our schedule. Since we only had sheetrock up, she had to make recommendations based on the samples we had for various finishes... flooring, cabinets, granite, marble and tiles. Not having worked with interior decorators before, we were nervous and unsure. Victoria was able to make recommendations very quickly and we decided to take a chance and use her suggestions after putting up samples. To get to the point, everything came out great. The colors for the open concept Kitchen/Living room, the rest of the house, the Master Bedroom and bathrooms pulled everything together and we love the results! We could not be happier with Victoria or the results and I'm sure you will be happy too! read more

Very young and creative styling. Jenn is great!

An absolute necessity! Jenny was so kind as to help my boyfriend and I refurnish and design our Santa Monica apartment.. all via FaceTime! And on a FRIDAY NIGHT! Within ten minutes she had an exact replica of our living space just from loose measurements and video chat. We were completely clueless about what we were looking for; all we knew was that we hated our current furniture and liked a "beachy" atmosphere. Through few, specific questions, Jenny had put together a mood board that matched our style to a T. We loved every piece of furniture that she picked out. What I was most impressed with was the Design Plan that she sent along with the Mood Board. In the Design Plan, she actually went shopping for us online and included links with multiple options for each furniture piece (couch, rugs, pillow, etc.). I cannot tell you how much I appreciated that, as I am not someone who likes to browse online and spend hours shopping. Jenny made it so easy for us and we're super grateful for that. Do yourself a favor and hire RICCO STYLE for your next project... you won't regret it!! read more

Victoria was so great and easy to work with! I needed help with my dining room and master bedroom. Victoria instantly got my style and picked wonderful pieces to work with my current furniture. She provided a complete shopping list with links, price and additional notes. It was so easy to get the materials. I was very picky with artwork and she recommended additional works or I would get her opinion. It was so collaborative and open and We eventually found the perfect piece/s. I would highly recommend Ricco Style to my friends who are looking for great style at a reasonable price. read more

We moved into our second home from our starter home in July. Furniture was everywhere and things that used to fit in our other house didn't fit in this one so I began my search for help. I came across JC's services and read through some of the reviews and was sold that she would be the one that I can count on. The first time she came over, we spent 2 hours together and we went through every single room from furniture places, accent pieces, art, and paint colors. We have a 3/2 house and it wasn't very big but to get through that much info and details in 2 hours was beyond amazing to me. Like another reviewer mentioned, I didn't feel lost or overwhelmed by the amount of work to be done, I felt inspired and was excited to get it moving along. Fast forward 2 months, we had gotten through 80% of the items from our initial meeting. But now that our living room project was completed (we had built in bookshelves built around the fireplace and refacing the fireplace with new stone). The new living was transformed into the modern era, however, lack a little personal touch so again I reached out to JC for help. She came over last friday and we spent a little over 2 hours this time. Again I'm amazed at this woman's speed and things she is able to accomplish in such a short amount of time. We went to Home Goods for accent pieces for the book shelves, pillows, art for the room, and Barnes and Noble for some books that would accent the room but are also intellectual pieces. As we were perusing down the ailes, JC began picking out items that would fit the decor/color scheme of the room and it was clear that she had a vision of what she was trying to achieve. When we got back, she laid out the pieces and it just all fell into place. It was amazing because with just a few knick knacks and pillows, the living room was transformed. It was warm, cozy, and inviting. And all within budget. I didn't tell her what my budget was but i was pleasantly surprised it came below that! If you're not sure where to go design wise, give JC a call. It worth it spending a few hundrew dollars to get her perspective. I think it might actually save you time and money down the road. It certainly did in our case. read more

I came across JC's work through a friend, and decided I would utilize her talents to help me furnish my "408 Bachelor Pad." As a typical 30 year old male professional, I had neither the time nor the talent to take this on by myself, and JC was exactly the expert I needed to turn my empty house into the perfect home. All I had was a television and a bed, and left the rest to her. I can't tell you how many texts and pictures she sent while on the road searching for the perfect couch, rug, coffee table, etc. I learned she is on a constant search for all of her clients, but really made me feel like I was the only one she was working with at the time. Not only did my place turn out better than I could have hoped, but she also added the perfect compliment, a hand-painted mural of my English Bulldog (I've uploaded the photo so you can see her artistic talent for yourself). Bottom line, JC has a gift. She had the knack for understanding exactly the style I was looking for, while also making my home perfectly unique. I will most definitely be using her again in the future. Thanks JC! - Mario read more

JC is amazing!! She truly cares about her clients and she offers an incredible service. JC is so warm and friendly. After our first meeting in my home, I felt like she was a close friend of mine! JC has a very gentle way of offering her ideas and suggestions. She is a great listener and works very hard to make your home functional for your family's needs. JC picked out beautiful paint colors for my home. She also spent lots of time helping me pick out a rug, lamps, a chandelier, etc. I really appreciated how she was always available to answer my questions through email. She also sent me pictures of items she found while out shopping that might work for my home. JC is so creative and a very quick thinker. She immediately offers suggestions while taking into consideration your budget and lifestyle. I always feel like we get so much accomplished in just a two hour meeting. JC made three paintings for my house. Each of the paintings is exactly what I asked for and even better than I imagined. She definitely exceeded my expectations! I have received so many compliments on the custom artwork she did for me! JC also understood how important it was to design my kids' rooms so they would have plenty of space to play. She helped me re-arrange furniture and set up great storage pieces to organize their toys and allow them to put things away themselves JC brought an associate designer, Victoria with her to my house a few times. Victoria is also fabulous! These two ladies work beautifully together. You can tell they just enjoy what they do and they always bounce ideas off of each other. Victoria came up with a great solution in my son's room when we had trouble finding a good place for his toy bins and bookshelf. JC and Victoria also set up a large gallery wall for me in less than an hour! Seriously, I was amazed at how fast they got this done and it looks perfect. Most importantly, working with JC and implementing her ideas has made me love my home so much more! Do not hesitate to call her. You will be so happy you did. I cannot say enough good things about her. She is just a real talent and so much fun to invite into your home! read more

I am a very practical person--I've had all the necessities to live in a house yet all of these years it never felt like a home. I felt that something was missing and no matter how much I tried to make it "nice" and organized "stuff" ended up everywhere. It's been truly chaotic and I think that living in an unorganized space makes you feel that way. Kinda like you are what you eat; but instead "you are how you live?" (If you like that saying you can mention girlie girl from east los). Anyway, JC came in and I showed her the chaos and she knew exactly what to do. I told her exactly what I needed and wanted and she just knew--the girl just knows. Freaking miracle. So now, when I come home it feels good, great, awesome and peaceful. Everything has its place--freaking amazing...after all of these years of my paper trail following me to every room...who would have ever known that hiring a "designer" would help? I have to mention that not only is my space practical but it's beautiful, too. A breath of fresh air (I love it). I should have sought someone's help a looooong time ago. Pero yo pensaba que podia sola and boy was I wrong. Just like when you're sick-- you're not gonna go to a carnival and ask the balloon-blowing clown for help with your symptoms; you go to a doctor, right? Well, if you get an additional headache when you get home on top of the one that you got at work--um, call JC. From small projects to big--she's got the patience, the ideas, the je ne sais quoi, to get the job done. Call her, you won't regret it. 8675309. Peace to you and to your home. read more

I had the pleasure of tapping into Jen's vision for my son Axel's nursery. We decided on a Cat and the Hat theme where she hand painted beautiful murals on the walls around my furniture. The attention to detail was mind blowing. It was delightful to see my older son (2) light up with joy and excitement from her artistic ability. All I can say is I couldn't be more delighted sitting in that heartfelt room with my beautiful son. You captured the youth of the moment. Thanks Jen, it makes those long nights just a little easier. I'd highly recommend Jen for any project around the house, no matter what size the project is - hands down. Definitely a short list contender. Call Her!! read more

I hired RICCO Style to help me with the interior design for my new home. They were very responsive from my initial call and followed up with every question or email I sent. Victoria was so helpful with every part of the design, sending a rushed lighting plan to me just a few days after our meeting in order for our contractor to install the lights. She then sent an entire design plan that consisted of links to purchase the items. This made it so easy for me as I am a very busy mom with 2 small children so agonizing over every little design decision would've taken me years! I am so thankful for Victoria's help!!! read more

I have lived in my house for 7 years and have done very little decorating (it is not something I enjoy). A friend referred me to JC's services to help make decorating decisions and give advice. JC spent 2 hours going through my house and listening to my vision (or lack there of). During this time, she took measurements, wrote notes, captured measurements, took pictures and selected the perfect paint color for the baby's room in just 2 minutes! (this would have taken me months!) After the initial consultation, JC emailed me a complete design plan with a to do list and a list of things to purchase. I am currently working my way through the list and loving the outcome. When my budget changes, JC emails me budget friendly solutions (e.g. DIY fabric covered headboard, spray painting hardware, inexpensive drapes). In addition, she found bedding for the baby's room, texted me pictures of things to buy at Home Goods, "approves" all purchases that I find on my own, and emails periodically to keep me motivated. Once I am done with the initial list, I will ask JC to come back to advise on finishing touches (gallery wall, accessories etc.), I highly recommend JC's services for your home! read more

JC helped my wife and I tremendously in re-arranging, organizing and designing a livable and functional space. Some of the things that were recommended were things we would never consider, and turned out fantastic. Others we'd thought about but needed direction, and she helped us execute by providing product recommendations and expert guidance. With her help, we recently sold our condo for well over asking price and I know that this would not have been the case without her services. Our place looked so good, it was basically already staged and ready to sell. In terms of return on investment, it's amazing the kind of value we got and the responsiveness and professionalism that went into the process. I highly recommend getting in touch with JC for any size decorating/home organizing project. read more

My fiance and I moved into our house recently, I bought most of my furniture but was at a stopping point where I couldn't figure out how to decorate to bring the room together (I'm horrible at interior design). I contacted JC based off her awesome reviews on Yelp, and I am SO glad I did. She came over to my house and we spent about 2 hours going over window treatments, paint colors, decor and furniture placement for each room. We got a lot done within 2 hours. She spent another 2 hours compiling a shopping list of every single thing that I needed to decorate the house with links to buy online or for inspiration. It ultimately saved me a lot of time, since I can walk into Home Goods knowing exactly what I need to buy and not having to return a bunch of things. I've still been texting and emailing her questions and asking for her advice, and she responds promptly and doesn't charge for that. About a month later, we've ordered window treatments and a few decor items as well as painted most of the house and it looks great already. Thanks to JC I no longer feel stressed or overwhelmed, I'm super excited to decorate and complete my home. I definitely recommend JC to anyone needing a little help with designing their home - she is nice, thorough and is willing to work with your budget & lifestyle. read more

I just moved into a one-bedroom unit and decided to not take any of my furniture and start new. I asked JC to come over and suggest furniture, color scheme and layout. We were both short on time so she spent about 1.5 hrs at my place. She immediately tapped into the style/mood I want to create, took some measurements and made suggestions throughout. She followed up with a floor plan and links to furniture, drapes, bedding, etc. that I can immediately purchase online...within my price range and thus taking the guess work out on my part. Additionally, she has been sending me pictures of pieces she comes across that will work with the theme. This is above and beyond her already reasonable fee. She is a delight to work with and does not pressure to her way. I would highly recommend JC and have asked her to come for a second round. read more

I hired The Tailored interior to design my baby's nursery and she did a wonderful job. The bedding was handmade with 3 different fabrics in which turned out absolutely beautiful. She found a foot stool that tied in the nursery so well. She also found a perfect lamp and rug. She also painted a painting that is above the crib. What a talented human being JC is. Thank you do much for making my daughter's nursery so beautiful. All the different colors look so perfect together. read more

I reached out to Ricco Style after I found them online and set a consultation. I immediately felt like Victoria Nazloo paid excellent detail to my particular taste - even when I didn't know what it was yet! Through her expertise I was able to dial in exactly what I liked, and she was so patient even when I made numerous changes. She explained it is very normal that through the process, your tastes change as you really dial it in. She was extremely patient, fast, even replying outside of business hours which I never expected. I truly feel that she was passionate about my projects and really made sure that I was happy with the end result. I started with one room, and ended up coordinating on my entire house with her. I have referred her to several contacts already- it is so helpful to have an affordable decorator that knows where to find what I have in mind- such a time saver and I couldn't speak higher about her service. read more

Victoria recently helped us with the designing of our nursery. Not knowing the sex of our baby and having one painting we wanted to use as inspiration, Victoria was able to come up with a whimsical, classy and perfect design for a baby's room. We are so incredibly pleased with what she came up with and the end product. In addition, she was responsive as we worked through furnishing the room, any questions we had or issues we ran into. I would highly recommend Victoria and the RICCO team for their incredible work and attention to detail. read more

When I began to furnish my new home, I knew that I wanted to do most of the leg work myself. I wanted to make the major design decisions and to search for and pick out the individual pieces myself. However, since I had no experience with furnishing a house from scratch, I felt like I needed expert input to make sure that my choices would come together as a consistent, cohesive interior design. JC was exactly the expert that I needed. Before our first meeting, JC suggested that I find pictorial examples of interior designs that I like. When she arrived, we reviewed these examples and discussed what I liked about each one. Quickly, she developed a general sense of what I was looking for. Then we went from room to room, and we she suggested different design choices based on what we discussed. We traded ideas back and forth, and she gave really thoughtful feedback on some of my ideas. By the end of the hour, I had a pretty good idea of what needed to be done. We arrived at a plan that was concrete enough for her to give me some design guidelines, but open enough for me to fill in the blanks to suit my own tastes. For example, we discussed which furniture pieces should be consistent with one another, what dimensions were appropriate, and how to add appropriate texture to the various rooms. She then gave me specific examples of furniture that would fit the bill. She charged me a very fair rate for an hour's worth of work. But afterwards, we remained in email contact. I asked additional questions of her. I showed her pictures of furniture that I was considering. I continued to solicit her advice, and she did not charge me for any of this followup work. I got exactly the expertise I wanted for a price far below what i thought I might have to pay for interior design help. She is excellent, and I do plan to use her again when get around to the finishing touches. read more

This review is long over due. JC is so very talented at what she does. She definitely has an eye for design and is very practical and experienced. She transformed several of our living spaces and bedrooms into sanctuaries. JC intuitively knew exactly what I wanted and put her own creative edge to each space. There was a high priced painting I wanted for my dining room and JC said she could paint it. I am so glad she did, it is one of our favorite pieces in our house. She is amazing, diligent, extremely competent and professional. IF I could give more stars I would. Thanks JC and team for making our home more beautiful and unique. read more

We contacted JC to pick colors and help with the furniture layout. We spent about 2 hours and she made some suggestions on both wall color and furniture. We got sample colors and made some patches. I tried reaching her on email but did not get a reply from her. read more

We love working with Jenny! She has a great personality and is truly good at what she does. She has the ability to interpret our styles and helped us develop it along the way, without forcing her style on us. I had a great experience working with Victoria at RICCO Style earlier this year. She was super responsive from the start, and she seriously had the BEST ideas for different rooms in my house that I was stumped about how to fix up or where to place furniture, etc. She spent a few hours at my house going through my wish list, and I loved the design plan that she came up with. It was beyond helpful to have everything laid out room-by-room on a spreadsheet with clickable links to each item she recommended purchasing. I was able to go through and pick and choose what I wanted to order at what time, and she did beautifully working within my general budget. I don't even know what to call my "style," but whatever it is Victoria got it, and got me. If I waited too long to purchase something that was no longer available, she was great about sending me a new link to something similar. When I remodeled my bathroom this summer and panicked about the paint color I chose, she came over with her paint chips and picked the perfect color for me. I would trust her with any design project and I'm looking forward to working with her in the future on other rooms in my home. Highly recommended!! read more

I was referred to JC from a friend. My husband and I are expecting our first child and really want to get our house in order before our little one arrives. We initially wanted JC to show us some ways to better organize our home, but JC gave us so much more. She came over for just under 2 hours and went through our condo with me, room by room. She helped me choose paint colors, discussed furniture arrangement and many other details to make our house a home. She left me with pages of notes and a lengthy to do list. However, I didn't feel overwhelmed, I felt inspired! JC made the process so easy. In just 2 weeks since her visit, we have painted the nursery, began overhauling our closets and have many other projects underway. JC is friendly and personable, she really listens to what you want as well as considers your budget and how long you will be in your home when she makes suggestions. The best part is that since I consulted with JC, I have been in pretty regular email contact with her, asking for her opinion on things I have purchased. Additionally, she sends me things she thinks I could find useful in my home. I can't say enough about JC and her services, it was the best money we could have spent to make our home a welcoming environment for our new daughter. It's sort of a weird thing to invite a stranger into your home and have them make suggestions on how to improve it- I was initially a little nervous about showing someone all of my failed attempts to make our space liveable- but JC doesn't judge or dwell on things that aren't working. I can't say enough good things about her services! read more

My mom moved from a 2000 square foot condo to a one bedroom apartment in a senior community. Mom and I had little confidence in how to organize, decorate and choose what furniture items could stay and what needed to go in the new place. I contacted JC and what a smart move that was! JC and her accociate Victoria were so delightful, easy and enjoyable to work with and super talented with interior design. They were very sensitive to what personal items were important to my mom and made sure to include those "ancesteral" possessions in the decorating planning. We went shopping with them and the end result is my mom's place looks fabulous and more importantly, mom feels like her apartment is truly her home. Now JC is helping me with my own bedroom and guest room make over and so far, so good! She took my existing furniture, repositioned it in a new way, and it all looks amazing. The finishing touches are yet to come and I can hardly wait. It is amazing how having my home look better makes me feel better!
