This small quality shop is full of treasures and special, unique pieces that one can add to one's space, or collection. Antiques are generally objects that are close to one-hundred plus years old. Many so called antique stores sell new or retro items, and items from the 80's and before, which are generally termed vintage. Robertson's focuses on fine quality antiques. From small objects such as jewelry, scent bottles, sewing items, to larger items such as chandeliers and table lamps, paintings and artworks in elaborate frames, sterling silver offerings, to large exquisite wood furniture of all types, some with carved gothic or putti heads and/or claw feet. Bronzes of all sizes are scattered throughout the store to add to one's space as a statement piece. This shop is a treasure trove of antiquities and collectibles which are carefully placed for optimal viewing. However, there are a few stairs to access part of the shop which could be problematic for some visitors. The knowledgeable owner, Nick, was a very personable guy with a wonderful sense of humor.

I was in this store for all of three minutes today (8/31/25) before I walked out, and I am glad I did. I have never in my entire life experienced customer service this bad. The old women at the register had an appallingly nasty attitude the moment we stepped inside. No hello, no smile, no "welcome in" whatsoever. I even went out of my own way as the customer to be polite first and ask how her day was going, and still got nothing but a nasty and hostile attitude and stare. My friend asked to see a pearl necklace and she made a comment saying "Just so you know, this isn't costume jewelry." Yes, I would hope not! The store was not busy, so there was zero excuse. For prices this high, you would think they would understand the basics of treating customers with respect. Maybe they were being discriminatory toward younger shoppers, or maybe they assumed we were not serious about buying. We were ready to spend money here and excited to browse, but the employee's behavior ruined that within seconds. After seeing other reviews, it is obvious this is not an isolated incident. This kind of treatment is unprofessional and disgusting. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs, there are plenty of other antique shops in the area to give your money to.

This place is by far my favorite antique store in the Bay Area, as its 21,000+ sq ft of floor space and two floors are occupied by over 100 different merchants selling everything from modern art and jewelry to old toys and abundant knickknacks. The only issue with this place is the parking situation, which can be a bit of a hassle, especially on weekends. Fortunately, it's a bit removed from the more popular Cannery Row area and on the opposite side of the Aquarium, so while it may be difficult, it's not impossible. Otherwise, come forth and feast your eyes on the treasures to behold. Just make sure you give yourself at least two hours to take it all in, or you're going to miss out on some interesting finds.

It's not unlike any other antique mall across the US, small stalls, probably owned by individuals that pay rent to have their merchandise seen. I spent about 20 minutes in there and saw everything on both levels. Found a few things that were priced decently. The people ringing customers up or friendly and efficient. Parking is street parking and it is metered. Tax is higher than I anticipated. My total was $45 before tax and over $49 in the end.
