We have attempted to stop here a few times, finally the opportunity was good. We sat at the bar, had good conversation with some folks. The draft cider was very good, smooth and I enjoyed it more than my standby Angry Orchard. My wife had chicken tenders, I opted for breaded Buffalo wings. The food was great. Breaded wings are tough to get right, they were cooked through and not burned. The facility is a rustic bar and tavern. Very nice place. The price was fair. It was quite terrible going to Coach-light. The servers and staff there were very nice but theres a different story for the food. I ordered the Grilled Cheese and it was absolutely disgusting. The only thing that was good about the food was the salad bar. They did a good job with the design when they rebuilt the place. read more

First time we've back to the Coachlight in around 5 years, First time there since after their fire and rebuild & they did a wonderful job in all areas. Our waitress Cristy was very pleasant, helpful, and attentive, & we also met one of the managers(Michelle). The bartender who was working was also very happy and pleasant. In short, the staff were all stellar. The new building was spacious, bright and very nicely decorated. Everything was very clean & neat. And lastly, the food..... everyone in our party was very satisfied, and we all agreed, the food was very delicious. I highly recommend this business....... great customer service, great ambiance, very good prices for a resort area, and very delicious food. What's not to love!!!!! read more

Yummy food, nice people and excellent service! What more could you ask for in a restaurant? I had recently read an online review about this place and since we were going to be out visiting this area, decided to stop in! Came in a little early before dinner service but grabbed a seat at the bar and watched some college football, had some beers and their white pizza as an appetizer. Pizza was delicious and it was nice to chat with the owners who were sweet to change the channel to the game we wanted. Once dinner service started we moved to the dining room for dinner. Food was delicious and plentiful! Had the following: Salad bar-tons of choices and yummy. Plus there are two soups that they offer with them. Tonight was white chicken chili and turkey vegetable. Chicken and biscuits with their sausage Cajun gravy. Sausage gravy was lick the bowl good and you could tell the biscuits were freshly made! Also had the redneck platter which was their sweet heat wings and macaroni & cheese-wings were great and the Mac and cheese so good! We also had banana bread which is homemade and oh so good! Also included on the salad bar was biscuits, strawberries and fresh whipped cream! Yum! Tons of food and lots of leftovers! Will be back! read more

Update, update, The new rebuilt Coach light Inn, completely re built after a terrible fire. Great design. Open spaces and with top notch dishes to enjoy. Went with a party of 12. Now that could be a problem with a lot of local places, order mixed up food comming out late etc. Not at the Coach Light Inn! A professionally run kitchen, food and service great. If you are a local or visitor. Doesn't matter, you will be greated and treated like a regular. Try it you'll like it! read more

According to the banjo mounted above the bar, they heart C.L.I.T., so at least they've got that going for them. Otherwise, there is nothing remarkable or enjoyable about this spot. I was here for a wedding rehearsal dinner, and I have no idea why as the actual rehearsal was in Port Leyden. There are dozens of other restaurants that are as distant or closer that would have been better. I could have made a fire in the woods and roasted a rotting deer carcass a hunter left untagged and it would have been better. Since we were a big party, 20ish, we were only offered three choices. You'd think these would be the three dishes they could make most proficiently for a large group. You'd be wrong. Between the fish, pork, and chicken, the pork was the most edible, somehow. My fish came out caked in some kind of thick, creamy sauce that managed to both offend and depress. The chicken was a cordon bleu inspired meal that could conjure salmonella with a wink. Two stars because the bartender, Shelly, I believe?, was hammered and argued with my husband over everything - drinks, the bill, and then mid-dinner started to confront us at our table. The new place is beautiful. I've been here a handful of times since it was rebuilt and every time there is always something that is a "turn off". First, they used to have 4 separate menus that you had to pass between the people with you for everyone to get a look, now i believe there are 2. We've ate in the bar area and each time there are 2-3 people waiting on you. None of which knows what the other is doing. Typically get something messed up with the order, forget drinks or it's late coming out. It's a bit chaotic to be honest. Needs better training. The food has always been pretty good, which has kept us returning and we love the fact there is a soup/salad bar. No one has that anymore. The problem with this place, is the large "CLIT" sign on behind the bar....yes, we know it stands for Coach Light Inn Two(or Too), I think? Also, the white board that has daily specials, had a special called " The Va jay-jay Sandwich" or something similar to that spelling. Honestly, why would you ever have either of those in your rest? It's almost embarrassing to bring anyone a bit elderly or conservative...or even younger kids in there because it's just so classless. The pro's out weigh the cons, so I'm sure we'll return, however, get rid of the stupid sign and vulgar sandwich special. #dobetter read more

I saw mixed reviews on this establishment, and after eating lunch and dinner there for three days while staying next door for work... don't skip this place! Friendly service, GREAT food!!!!! We enjoyed getting to know the staff and honestly could not have found a better spot. I hope we work out this way again soon so I can visit again! Try the burgers, they are huge and amazing!!! Update: The Coachlight had a fire so the building was destroyed and this is the new building. We stopped to see the football game on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered hot chicken wings and they were crispy, meaty and nicely spiced. The we shared a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. It was tasty and the fries were crispy. We will stop in again. read more

This is a large bar area with tables as well as a separate dining room. Decor is rustic casual with a local atmosphere. Bartender was hopping and waitresses were very busy. Nightly specials are served as well as a standard menu. A salad bar accompanies all entrees. Hot bread along with homemade banana nut bread and zucchini bread are placed on each table. I had 2 large pork chops with a skewer of alternating shrimp and scallops both wrapped in bacon served over homemade Mac n cheese. Very generous portions with reasonable prices. For the price they charge the food could have been better. $14 for a hamburger with nothing on it. No toppings. Everything was extra. It was dry . It was a $20.40 bill and they added a $7.50 tip without my permission. Very wrong. Would like My $7.50 so-called tip back because I did not give it to your and it food wasn't that great and it's illegal to take a tip out without permission. Will not eat there again. read more

Father's Day Party of 4. 1. My mother asked for decaf coffee and the wait staff said, "Oh well, I will have to make a pot just for you." Really? 2. Wait staff brought my father my order and me his. Did not notice until we cut into the meat and his was rare and my was medium. Had to swap plates and sides at the table. 3. Wait staff did not check on us at any time during the meal to see if we were satisfied or needed anything. 4. After paying with good tip wait staff did not make eye contact or thank us or give us the chance to that them and just walked away. They were not busy at the time in the dining room. We had a very good meal at the Coach light Inn while visiting Brantingham. Very friendly service, the food was excellent, fresh ingredients make all the difference. Salad bar was fresh, very good. I plan to stop back there again when I am in the area next time. read more
