We needed a windshield replacement and live near Jimmys so we asked them to do the replacement. We…read morewere told they would call next Monday to schedule, then the next Monday and so on. 3 or 4 weeks later they call, after stopping in many times, and are ready to install windshield. The replacement takes a day and we bring the vehicle home and park it. A couple days later it rains and the windshield leaks horribly. When we drive it we can hear the wind rushing in. Go to Jimmys and are told the windshield guy is on vacation. After 4 weeks of stopping in and not getting this repair rescheduled, we have scheduled a new company to do the replacement, again! So, instead of paying $750.00 once, we are now paying twice!! Horray, so glad we supported local business!! Long story short, Jimmys should stop installing windshields and if they do claim to still be in the business, the consumer should be informed that they have no idea what they are doing. What a mistake for us, please save some money and go to a PROFESSIONAL the first time!!

Our 2004 4Runner was badly damaged but we managed to limp back into town with a leaking radiator, 1 headlight and lots of missing parts. Jimmy's Auto body was in the process of closing up but the owner allowed us to park the car there and his son graciously drove us, our dog, and our car-full of stuff to our vacation house in Burgess where we fortunately kept another car. That was beyond kindness! After a detailed conversation with Cory, the owner, my husband, who was very familiar with mechanics and bodywork, felt confident with the knowledge and demeanor of this man, so we looked no further and left the car there to be repaired. I cannot tell you this was a fast job. There were snags along the way. Some parts had to be ordered aftermarket and some from Toyota, but my husband stipulated that he wanted a new radiator and battery with which Cory agreed. Cory had some challenges in reaching and dealing with our insurance adjuster in order to get all the required parts covered. Obtaining some of the Toyota parts presented other challenges like the company sending parts for the wrong year car. But Cory persevered and got everything straight for us. We didn't have to enter into the situation at all, and when the job was done, it looked like a new car!!!! He fixed places on the sides and tailgate where I had dings and fixed up the roof where I backed into a tree. The paint job was impeccable. He did a lot of cosmetic work within the agreed upon price which raised this business to what anyone would consider 1st class in both workmanship and customer service. These people are a pleasure to do business with and even though we live in Southern MD we'd consider taking other vehicles to this body shop because they're honest, concerned about their customers and do excellent work.

After two months and seven visits to Safelite, my windshield was still cracked because the vendor bought the wrong glass, damaged the new glass, didn't have the right equipment for the installation, didn't know how to extract the clips of the roof liner without breaking them, etc. One call to D G Glass, and the windshield was replaced one week later, no ifs and buts. I absolutely recommend this vendor if you drive a car with a windshield that is hard to replace. This is a vendor with an excellent reputation, who is well known by BMW dealerships in the DMV area for the high caliber of his craftmanship. Further, the service fees are fair, and the insurance covered the cost minus my deductible.

After they gave me the cost they gave me the number of this place and said they were good. I called and they had an aftermarket windshield and would come to my place in Alexandria and install it for $260 including tax. We scheduled an appointment a week later for a Thursday morning. Thursday morning came and I called them around 11 asking if they were going to come. They apologized and said they couldn't install it in the rain, but they were hoping it was going to go away before they would have to cancel. They asked if they could do it the next day. I said that I wouldn't be home, but I could leave the key in it. They asked that if it was still raining, could they drive it to a local dealership where they were doing work on another car and do it there? I said that was fine. The next day was raining. They got the car from my apartment complex, drove it to a dealership, installed the window, moved the inspection stickers and parked it back in the same place. They called me to let me know it was done. The office called a little later and got my credit card info and charged me the $260 that they quoted. All in all I think they are a good value and would recommend them to my friends.

Funny thing is this is our 3rd Vehicle that isn't driven too often so the fact that it was always giving us issues is so disturbing. Until we came to this shop, we had about $900 worth of work done and not only is our truck running like it's brand new but hubby drives it EVERY DAY now! No problems no issues no nothing. But then he decided to replace them both at $42 a pair and labor was $80.Asked him if he'd put in my Freon can I bought at auto zone with gauge and everything since wasn't sure how to do it and it wasn't cheap so didn't want to waste it. He didn't really want to do it and wanted me to use his Ac service. Anyway he did put it in but then still charged $15 to do it. Man! you would think he'd be happy he made enough money already with the brake pads , and replacing both stabilizers that he could just do that for nothing as a courtesy. Didn't take hardly any effort on his part either. Then he only takes cash or checks. Claims he doesn't have a Card machine. So charges tax if you pay cash that he probably doesn't even report.
