My daughter and I were on a date day and she wanted sushi. I thought a day at Market Commons with shopping and sushi would be fun so I brought us here. We could have sat in or out but I thought it would be fun to sit outside and people watch. Due to COVID they had a QR code to scan to bring the menu up on your phone. While I like this feature, this just brought up small PDF's of their menus and it was so hard to read even with zooming and by the time the server arrived I was so overwhelmed because I didn't even know what we wanted. So we decided to get what we knew. We got a crunch salmon roll, a california roll, and chicken hibachi. The server was kind of meh. Not friendly at all. She wasn't "mean" or anything. She just seemed like waiting on us was the last thing she wanted to do. Oh well. We didn't care we were nice as pie. The sushi was just so so. It was nicely presented and I had high hopes but it had 0 flavor. And at $15 a pop, they were pretty much a rip off. Even sushi at finer sushi restaurants don't cost this much. These weren't even "specialty" rolls. They were your basic run of the mill rolls and the flavor was so lacking I probably could have found tastier at a grocery store. The hibachi was nicely presented as well but had no flavor. I added some soy and that helped but overall I was underwhelmed. They had a Vietnamese limeade which I got to drink and that was very refreshing and full of flavor. So there was that. Overall for the price we paid and the general food quality and ambiance kind of blah I would not return. I get that we're in a tourist area but I have eaten all over and know that they don't have to gauge you this much. Probably best to come here for Happy Hour or not at all. read more

We ate here on a Friday evening - happy hour was busy but understandably so, the spicy crab Rangoon was delicious! Their cocktails on special were refreshing... we had a blunder with the toro they had on special but the server and manager made it right immediately and notified the sushi chef. Guys, this place was great. Came here with two kids. One of which is super picky. We ordered Philadelphia and California rolls, crab Rangoons and chicken pho. The picky one got chicken fingers and rice. Everything was excellent. I've had better chicken pho at Vietnamese restaurants back home, but both kids LOVED It. Even the picky one. Our waiter Lee was attentive and patient with both girls. We had chicken tenders and rice to bring home. The teenagers that dug into the leftovers as soon as we walked in the door declared the chicken fingers to be "surprisingly delicious." In the past the food, service and atmosphere was excellent. In recent visits, the food is not nearly as good with little attention to the details that made this place great. Gone is the experienced and attentive service. Instead, the wait staff is confused, slow and organized. The servers are very friendly, but they seem under supported and worn thin. Most of all and most worrying is the filthy chairs and floor. The chrome chairs haven't been wiped clean in years it seems. The dirt is obvious and easy to clean. This is just careless neglect. The floors look like they haven't been mopped in a very long time. Cooks roam about in plain view outside the kitchen chatting with service staff for long periods when many patrons were waiting on late food. I once loved this place, but I won't be back anytime soon unless I see more care being taken with cleanliness. If you feel this is an unfair review, I challenge anyone to take a good look at the furniture, floors and signage and not see the dirt and grime I witnessed the past 3 visits. read more

Great happy hour on tuesdays. Go with the 1/2 off sushi menu instead of the $3 /$4 because you'll get a big huge full roll for like $6 and $7 and it's much bigger and more filling. Ask for Ambie the server she's ON it. I'll be back for sure. read more

Came here for the first time a few days ago. The resturant has a good atmosphere and the servers were super kind. Now my seat directly faced the kitchen so I got to see the food being made. I watched the Chefs use their phones, pick their noses and touch other dirty items. Then they would continue to cook without washing their hands. I walked in because I was hungry in the middle of the afternoon, and this placed smelled amazing. When I asked if they had veggie options, the server brought me a vegan menu with plenty of options. Since it was a weird time to eat, I just ordered one, the crispy tofu roll - and it was amazing. Probably the best veggie sushi I've ever had. Our first visit tonight and we really enjoyed the food and it's in a pretty cool area at Market Commons. Happy Hour is the way to go. A lot of drink specials and food specials, of which we ordered the California Roll which was tasty For dinner I had the Spicy Udon with Steak which I thoroughly enjoyed and my wife ordered the Hibachi with Shrimp which she said was good as well. My only negative and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that it's a tad pricey but for the atmosphere and quality of the food it's acceptable Definitely wanna return to try the Vietnamese Raman and Pad Thai. read more

Apps had been on table less than 3 minutes when the two mains came out. Drunken Thai Noodles and Thai Green Curry. Both had chicken for protein. The chicken was incredibly dry for being in broth and noodles. Took about 3 bites of each of the mains and 1 and a half of the sushi to confirm it was that bad and asked for the bill and left. We went on a Friday for a late lunch and the place was pretty much empty. We ordered two orders of salmon nigiri, a rainbow roll, the chicken pad Thai, and beef pho. The salmon nigiri and the rainbow roll were amazing. The fish was super fresh and good quality. The rainbow roll was probably the best I've had anywhere. It has eel sauce on the center piece and was just heavenly. The chicken pad Thai was good but I've had better. The beef pho however was not good at all. The broth was way too sweet and kind of dark. Usually the broth is on the clearer side. I just didn't like the taste and it had way too many noodles. The ratios were just off. I wouldn't recommend the pho but everything was amazing. The texture of the dumpling was a bit thick for my taste. The pad Thai was delicious and a good serving size. The spring rolls were tasty with a just--right crisp. The meal wasn't too expensive. They have 1/2 price sushi on Tue-Thu from 4-7. While the quality of food is good they are horrendously understaffed and the norm is 30-45 minutes waiting time. Last night all but two tables on patio were vacant but they weren't seating anyone out there. Many of the tables hadn't been bussed - clearly a staffing issue. And don't ever think about going when it rains and patio can't be used. It's probably ok if you go during times other than the promotion windows. read more
