Do Not trust Amica!! I've been a customer for almost 20 years. I've been trying to unwind massive…read morepolicy renewal price increases with no success until this week. Finally discovered (after 18 freaking months of phone discussions) they had begun to charge me for fault in an accident 5 months after accident occurred and was declared as other driver's fault!! In addition, I discovered through a policy addendum dated 2023, that they charged me over $500 on my policies because I had "too many department store credit cards, account open too short of a time". What the actual F$%^!!! How can they deem me an "increased risk" for car and house insurance because I opened a Sephora card???? I'm livid and will never trust them again. This is your warning to comb through your policy documents!! I'm leaving Amica for Travellers. I suggest you run from Amica!!!

While I cannot speak for everyone's experiences with Amica, I also cannot agree with the low…read moreaverage rating of Amica's Colorado office as of this writing. It just does not reflect the absolute exceptional service they have provided me and my family for a long time. Insurance is really only as good as the service you receive when you need it. This is where Amica really shines. Since my first Amica auto policy in 2002, I've had at least three accidents while covered by them. In each of these cases, the service was extraordinary, with support from the claims handlers every step of the way. Those accidents have resulted in temporary surcharges, which is to be expected, and Amica clearly explains the factors leading to any "points" one may accumulate (not to be confused with state driver license points.) In my state, Amica also uses a credit-based risk model heavily weighted - par for the course with auto insurers these days. I live in Colorado, and although my vehicles are older, I find that premium glass coverage is a must here. Mountain driving is full of stones and other hazards! Their coverage for glass is fantastic - they partner with Safelite as of this writing, and have repaired and replaced windshields for me with no issue, often approving the OEM option without issue. Each year I obtain quotes to understand if my premiums are competitive, and for me at least, Amica is a terrific value. With the 20% dividend (while not guaranteed) factored in, they are usually less expensive for me than a comparative policy from brand-name national insurers like Geico, Progressive and State Farm. I do bundle my home coverage with them, full disclosure, and that helps.

Read in full (Buyer Beware) : Great people but that doesn't matter if your house burns down and…read moreyour replacement value isn't up to date or accurate! While this company does give you good rates on auto insurance you got to be careful. It's not always about the best price or your friendly interaction. It's about protecting YOUR HOME!! Make sure the broker does their homework and gives you the actual replacement value of your home. Otherwise, if your home burns down or a natural disaster destroys your home you could be upside down. So I highly recommend if you have home owners insurance with this company to get another quote from State Farm. They will come to your house and you will see that they do their homework not just sell you a policy that you can afford. Replacement cost is VERY IMPORTANT!!! Thank you for your attention to this matter. Again, very good people but just be careful and make sure you are covered in full. Update: As a matter of fact, I hope your clients call you and asks you the very question about replacement cost. I personally changed my name because I knew what your response would be. Don't come at me like that please. I simply stated facts and I'm sorry that hurt your feelings and ego. Karma will come to you when someone's house burns down or a natural disaster occurs and your client isn't getting the FULL replacement cost of their home. I know it's expensive to provide actual replacement cost of a home but by not doing so is deceptive

I would never recommend Roper Insurance to anyone- we had used them for our employee benefits and…read morethey completely messed up all policies- the agents were not competent and did not remove employees from policies; told us to " hand write" what we felt we should pay onto the payment stubs and mail in a check because Roper didn't remove people and we were still paying for them. They were rude, wanted me to do my own research and the owner wouldn't even respond when I asked/begged him to help sort it out. Worst place ever. Cost us money and my time as a business owner doing their job sorting out our employee insurance. We switched and are 1000% happier.
