I've been with David and the team for years and am just now getting to this review, which is a shame because I could have wrote it from the first year we worked with him (sorry Dave!!). Not only do they always pick up the phone or write you back immediately but when you need help after a claim is filed they go the extra mile! I have been struggling with a roof hail claim and just could not get ahold of my assigned adjuster to get the contractor paid. Michelle got on the bat phone twice and he called me within the hour! I honestly don't know how people do it without help from a team like this. Where do I begin? Well almost 10 years ago I worked with a insurance broker and did it for a few years until I decided to do the leg work on my own and find insurance myself which honestly saved me a good amount of money, so I had a stigma for agents only looking out for themselves and money in there pockets until........ I moved to Colorado and found out my home insurance was double what I paid on my home in Northern California which mind you was worth 4x the cost of my new build home and had a swimming pool. I honestly figured moving to Colorado with the housing prices my home insurance would be cheap!! WRONG! I ended up paying for the year and sad it was so much, then I got the renewal paperwork and my insurance jumped by $800 extra a year making it almost $3k a year crazy right? I could take no more so I decided to give David a call. What do I have to loose? I can either go with his recommendation or not? I gave him all my info and he got back to me really quick with home and auto rates. He also informed me my current coverage I was paying a lot for was honestly no good!!! I'm not a insurance agent so I would y exactly know. He gave me options and ended up saving me well over $2000!! I have been working with Dave for a few years now, and it just seems to get better and better. I recently purchased a new car, and when I called up to ask what the insurance rates would be, he told me that I would probably be paying more than on my old car (I hadnt purchased the car yet, I was just trying to use this as another reason to dissuade my wife from getting this car). Although I knew that Dave had always been competitive, I called up agents from 8 other insurance companies and carriers. Every single one of them came in higher that what I had been paying for last car, but where Dave said he thought it would probably be around $150 more per year, they were quoting me about $700 per year. After my wife yelled at me enough, I ended up getting that new car, knowing that I would go back with David and BMR. The biggest shock I had, aside from the always stellar service I get whenever I call (and I called a lot while looking for the new car), was that my insurance rates actually went down. I know Dave knows his stuff, but even he was surprised that the rates went down. While he couldn't tell me why (sure the computer doesnt answer all my questions!), he was also surprised, but very happy with the results. I know I can always call Dave to ask any questions that are insurance related, whether for my home or auto, and I have even called him to ask questions about my business and life insurance, and every time he steers me in the right direction. David has been my insurance guy for years and I use him for all of my insurance needs. What sets David apart is his incredible response time. I needed to make a quick change to my plan and totally forgot to make the request during regular business hours. So I sent him an email late on Friday asking him to make a change in my plan expecting the change to happen Monday morning. By the time I had finished dinner, he had sent an email confirming the change had already been made. What he also brings to the table is his expansive knowledge of different types of insurance (home, auto, renters, etc), how much they cost on average (and not just the ones he offers, but competitor prices as well), and the different tricks you can do to bundle them so you get what you need but save money. He will never suggest more coverage than you need. He actually said the agent that the insurance company provided me had oversold me on coverage that I would never use.
