When we pulled up it wasn't extremely busy but soon did become packed with pickers. The place is organized by cars and has signs indicating where are the models are. There are plenty of vehicles to pick from. Everyone was also nice. We didn't understand the mechanism to take the tire off and some guy came up and showed us plus helped us get it off. It was a good experience. I would recommend this place over getting this new. You can get a replacement part at a bargain. Would recommend. You will spend some time looking through the various car parts. There is a small admission fee, they offer warranty, and prices are very reasonable for what you collect. This place is great!

Will only go back here again next time I need a car part.

This pick-a-part place allows you to look up on the hi-tech online website to see what their up-to-the-minute inventory looks like, in order to save you a trip out here. Then, you can come out and borrow their wheelbarrow or cart and pull off whatever part fancies you. I sold my old car that was barely running to these guys. They gave me an easy out for selling the car- no test drives, no lengthy questions, no asking for all the parts receipts for every gadget I put in there. I called, and they set up a time to send over a wrecker. The driver was punctual, professional, and professional. Within a few minutes, I had a check in hand and my car was being towed away! Bye bye, meatball! It was a little sad seeing my car get carted off, but I smile when I think about how my tires and rear differential are going to get many more miles, thanks to Wrench a Part.

My son and I went out in search of a driver's door and left fender for his 2000 Ford Focus. Our…read morefirst stop was a larger yard not far from AAA, but they didn't have what we needed. Two employees of the larger yard said AAA was where we needed to go. So we headed across the highway to AAA and found that the yard is laid out very logically by make and model. Everything is easy to find. The yard seems relatively safe and is surprisingly clean. And we did indeed find a large selection of Foci. We pulled a fender off a silver one (to match my son's car), but the only complete door (with glass and mirror) was on a blue car. But it was in great shape, so we pulled it anyway. Then we grabbed a handful of assorted interior trim pieces and were out the door for a grand total of $115. I have since discovered that the AAA website has an inventory search feature (http://www.aaautorecyclers.com/inventory.html), which I will definitely consult before future visits. So give AAA a try if you need some car parts and want to get in touch with your inner Tim the Tool Man. And if you see a silver Focus driving around San Antonio with a dark blue door, say hello to my son.
