This is the only dump I've ever been to in my 37 years on planet Earth that didn't have me wanting to puke while being there. I don't know what their methods are but to me that's amazing! I've been a few times but I had to dispose my old bed recently which caused me to make an appearance there. The dump is actually in Creedmoor (It says Buda on Yelp) & FM 1327 is a quiet & pleasant little road to travel along. The nature preserve surrounding the landfill is also pleasant to look at & is kind of cool that the landfill is trying to make good use of the land surrounding it. The overall cost of disposing my old bed + large boxes left behind from the new bed ended up being around $67. That with the $45 U-Haul pickup rental + gas was still cheaper than paying the furniture store's $189 disposal fee. The employees I dealt with were friendly, had good attitudes, & from an outsider's perspective they seemed to be well taken care of by the company they work for.

On with the review. Salma is on the outskirts of San Antonio on the northeast side, right when you're heading to Austin or coming in from Austin. It's not too far out of town, and there are some pretty cute places and some decent food. And all the chain restaurants you can imagine seem to be here, and even a little bit of boba. It's nice here and traffic is not as bad as it is in some parts of San Antonio, and definitely not as bad as Austin, Houston or Dallas. If you have a lot of metal when you first enter you will stick to your right because you will drive over the area that says " Truck Scale" they will prompt you when to move onto the scale. They weigh your truck and by looking right they give you a green light to go ahead. After you get the green light you drive towards the back where you unload all your metal. Once your done you will go back to the truck scale and weigh your truck without the metal. After your done you will park anywhere get off and stand in line at the cashier so they can give you a check for the amount of your metal. Now if you selling cans/ scrap stuff that isn't as large you' would drive in get off and then get asstaince that way but since we had large metal pieces our process was different. It is a crazy little process but nonetheless an experience to understand.
