    On May 22, 2026 Marshall Shredding came to my home and performed the on site shredding of…read moredocuments. The driver called ahead and arrived on time. He was courteous and efficient. The process was completed in minutes. On May 28th I received an email from Marshall's containing an invoice for the shredding of 2 bins of material. There was only 1 bin shredded. The email requested payment of $239.20. Confusing, as the paperwork sent by them and required in order to set up service, contained forms for authorization to debit my bank account. I completed the forms, including bank account information. That day I called Marshall's and spoke to Valerie and Nicole regarding being overcharged and asking why the invoice was sent when they already had my checking account number and authorization to pay. I then asked Valerie if I could give them another account for payment. Valerie said they would need to contact the driver to verify that there had been only 1 bin shredded. She transferred me to Nicole who took the information for payment. I never got an explanation for why I was sent an email requesting payment. On June 3rd I received an email confirming payment of $125 via the bank I had requested they use had been debited on 5/29. Unfortunately, in reviewing the account I had originally given them, I found it had also been debited on May 29th for $125. I called and spoke again with Valerie. She asked to put me on hold. She said they would need evidence of that charge. I emailed them a copy of the bank statement showing the charge. On June 9th Valerie called and explained, they cut checks on Fridays and they were sent out on Monday. Based on that I expected my refund check would be mailed on June 15th. On June 23 still no check. Valerie said person she needed to check with was in a meeting and she would call me back. She did not call. Today July 2nd I called.Valerie informed me the check had been mailed on the 24th. Since a week had passed I demanded to speak with someone with the authority to resolve the situation. She said she would transfer me to Cheryl,CFO. Far from resolving the situation, Cheryl kept repeating the check had been mailed. And then suggested this was my fault because I had asked to change the payment method. Exasperated, I told her she needed to shut up and listen to the customer who had been overcharged and given the run around for a month. The conversation ended with me telling her I would write a YELP review and make a complaint with the BBB. Her reply, "be sure to include that you switched bank accounts". Too bad. The service they provide is excellent, but their internal processes and customer service need work. Got to go check the mail now! Christie Bambeck Austin,Tx
