We had to regrade our entire yard, re-lay sod, and redo irrigation and drainage in the front yard, plus replace plants that died quickly due to improper irrigation by the previous contractor. Earth Greenlands also completed irrigation, added copious drainage in the backyard, removed soil in high areas, put gravel along both sides of house, added pavers, put in a recessed deck and a separate raised deck, added lighting, wrapped our grill area in a finish material, laid tile at our front entryway, and more. I am so happy that we found Rafael and his crew - he provided pricing in a clear and timely manner, was professional and responsive throughout and is just an overall pleasure to work with. Rafael is the kind of person you want to do business with. We had no surprises and no issues at all with his work. Highly highly recommend!!!

While the kitchen / patio is beautiful, we were on the short end as we did not receive everything that was mutually negotiated, agreed upon and ultimately paid for. Those things include gross miscalculations for building materials and roof lines, damage to the yard, destruction of flower beds and grass and failure to provide receipts, although requested, for purchases made that we were billed for. Because this company did not have a licensed electrician as a part of their building crew and felt this to be very important to the design, we had no other alternative but to engage the services of an independent licensed electrician at our expense. As the project was ending we sent several punch lists which contained items that should have been addressed in a quality review. We continued to bring to Rafael's attention all incomplete details until most but not all of the items were addressed. Although highly frustrated, we reluctantly paid the remaining balance under the assumption that the outstanding items would be completed accordingly. This did not happen. As stated earlier, the patio / kitchen looks beautiful, but does not include everything that we paid for based on the approved design. Given our experience working with this company, under no circumstances would we use Earth Green Lands to do any work for us or recommend them to others.

They delivered what they promised and David is VERY knowledgeable about drainage. We also used Texas Oasis to redo landscaping and beds in back yard and Eva and her crew were wonderful to work with. Her crew is very good and experienced and Eva is very particular in making sure every detail is right. We are now on her wait list to redo the landscaping in our front yard. Working with Victor started out well, then went bad once the actual work began. I gave him my…read morebudget, which was a mistake, but did not receive a contract. He did the bare minimum. His guys did three sections of edging and walkway wrong. When they had to redo they didn't level and it still looks poor. They also entirely covered up the pool drain and wouldn't come dig it up until I proved to them with photos that it existed. This was late fall last year and I asked Victor multiple times if the landscaping and grass would survive the winter. He assured me it would and if not he'd come back and replace what died. At the end of the project he gave an invoice, not a receipt showing I paid, and there were no terms or warranties on this invoice. His group did all of the work for the landscaped bed, they did the edging, all the paper and stone, installed the irrigation, set the duration and frequency for the irrigation. He did everything for the plant's environment and care. Now it's after winter and multiple items didn't make it. After 6 phone calls and 3 emails he finally responded saying there's only a 3 month warranty, so he will not do anything. Even though he never mentioned a 3 month warranty at the beginning and he assured me he'd take care of any issues, he's chosen to avoid me and do nothing. After a $10K project he won't replace some dead plants. I'm hoping he will come around and agree to do what he said, if not my lawyer has helped me to prepare for small claims court. I would strongly recommend against using Victor Ramirez and Big Tex Landscaping. I created a Yelp account just to leave this review for others to be aware. Unfortunately Yelp won't allow for a zero star review.

After receiving the initial design, we requested revisions, but communication was slow and updates often took weeks. When we followed up for updates, we were repeatedly reminded that they were managing larger projects, which left us feeling like our project was not a priority. When we finally received the project proposal, the pricing was not itemized, which made it difficult to identify areas where we could scale back to fit our budget. When we asked for a more detailed breakdown, we were told their process is "turnkey," and no alternatives or solutions were offered to help adjust the project scope. Understanding that this was simply how they operated, we requested another revision in hopes of reducing costs. Our last conversation was in November, when we were told we would receive an updated revision within two weeks. Unfortunately, we never heard from Scapes again. We ultimately chose to work with a different local landscape architect who was more communicative, provided transparent pricing and a much better overall experience.
