After all the rain we had earlier this Spring, we knew it was time to get some French Drains installed due to lots of standing water around our foundation. I contacted Water Drainage Innovations by sending a message through Yelp asking for a quote. We set up an appointment with Dennis and he came out to measure and see what was needed. He gave us a brief verbal overview in person and then sent a written proposal. After we collected all of our bids, we really liked the plan Dennis came up with. It was comprehensive and would solve our needs and the price was fair. We signed and returned the proposal. We then set up a date to start the work. It was a 2 day job to install French Drains that run along both sides of our property. They ran PVC pipe, tying in from the gutter downspouts and going under the sidewalk and out to the street. It involved cutting holes in the curb so the water could drain out. Dennis and his team did a great job throughout the entire project. They showed up when they said they would. They were professional and polite, respectful of our property, even cleaning up at the end of day one knowing they would be back the next day. We sent half the money owed at the end of day one via Zelle, and the balance after the job was complete. We are very happy with how the entire project went and highly recommend Dennis and Water Drainage Innovations. Now we just need everyone to wash their cars and windows and do a rain dance so we can watch the water drain into the street! read more

We had new drainage done on two sides of our house and improvement to the cement slab our AC unit was sitting on. The cement slab was not secure and would likely have caused us issues in the future. We purchased a house recently and on the first day we got the keys it rained 6", so we found out the hard way that one side of our new house had serious drainage issues. We had been told by our inspector that the soil line was "a little too high" so we had planned on having drain work done at some point... but unfortunately for us, the soil being "a little to high" was a massive understatement and the heavy rain made fixing this issue an almost emergency-tier problem. We called several places listed on Yelp with tons of pretty good reviews, asking for quotes for : -grading the soil down to where 4" of the slab was visible -a proper drainage system where the water would dump out at the street level -down-spout tie-ins to said drainage system -putting in sod on top of the newly graded soil in an otherwise very muddy and pebble-filled area that had a "lean-to" building covering it -if possible, remove the lean-to building so sunlight could be restored to the area and allow for proper growth of the sod Dennis was the only one who didn't balk at any one point of this set of requirements and said he could do it in a few days. He and his crew did it all. Not only that, but they did so at a very reasonable price - and even more impressive was the fact that Dennis used WAAAAY higher quality equipment than what I've seen other drainage companies use. 5+ years ago, we had drainage issues at our previous home, and the company that we ended up using only did drainage work on the side. They were primarily a "sprinkler" company. That company just put in crumply black corrugated tubing you can get from Home Depot, put in little pop up drains that floated away after a heavy storm, and if you stepped on any of the cheapo grates they used, you'd pop the lids off. Also, they refused to drill a hole in the edge of the concrete, and instead just used a crack to flow out storm run-off... which constantly got clogged with leaves. If I didn't clear them out while it was storming heavily, then my backyard patio would flood. That company also charged 5 years ago only a little less than what Dennis does now. But Dennis? He used 4" diameter pro-grade PVC pipe, hard shell drains with strong grates anyone can walk on with no issue, and no pop-up drains but instead a 4" diameter core-drilled hole in the concrete street edge that basically dumps out the storm run-off from the new drain system like an amusement park waterslide. I had only one minor issue, where some of our electrical equipment in a "very-hard-to-get-through-without-bumping-it" spot, causing several of the outlets to short out, but Dennis came out within the next 24 hours and spent literally hours of his own time and bought his own parts to fix the problem so that not only was the panel fixed, but had been more secure than it was before it was bumped. I can't recommend Dennis enough. That side of the yard next to the house has been completely transformed from "dark mud-filled pit where Saruman dug up the Uruk-hai in Lord of the Rings" to "miniature dog-park" in just 2 days. Book Dennis fast if you have any issues with drainage of any kind, as I imagine his schedule will soon be much busier and his rate will probably be much higher than we were lucky enough to get. read more

The guy came to quote and the first thing he said was this will be very expensive, then went on to say we need to add an electrical outlet for a pump and we'd need an electrician. What?! Dennis and his crew installed a French drain, three surface drains, and connected an existing downspout drain to drain out toward the front of our property. Since we live slightly downhill from our neighbors, their downspouts dumped all their rain water into our side. We often had a 3" pond on the north side of our home when it rained. Dennis and his crew showed up when they said. Did the work they said they would do, plus replaced a downspout connection at no additional cost. They were much lower cost than a bigger name drainage company, but the bigger company wanted to do a bunch of extra things that we didn't feel were necessary. So far, the area is completely dry for the first time since we moved here a year ago. When it does rain, we only see a couple of small puddles that go away within a short time once the rain stops. When we moved into our home in the spring of 2018 we did not know of its history of water drainage problems. We quickly discovered issues with standing water around the base of the home and in heavy rains water drainage backup into the pool and garage area. Over the next four years we had various companies attempt to solve the issue with French drains, moving and adding soil, gutter guards, etc. While most of the things we did helped to alleviate parts of the problem we still continued to have major issues. Our project was to provide drainage for our lot that was not graded properly in the beginning. Dennis clearly communicated a plan to solve the problem, drew up a comprehensive plan, and provided a reasonable quote to do the work. His guys knew exactly what they were doing, followed the plan exactly, and paid attention to detail. I was impressed how they set the top grass layer aside from other dirt which was laid on landscape fabric to re-fill the ditch cleanly. Overall, we rate Dennis Landscaping/Drainage 5/5. Dennis Landscaping & Drainage is probably the best company I've had the privilege to work with, since moving into our new home. We ultimately had 12 channel drains installed, which also required them to 4 replace broken French drains as well. The new setup Dennis provided us, will ALL our drainage/flooding issues and we couldn't have picked a better company to perform this work. From the very the very beginning, Dennis pointed out the issues causing our courtyard/back yard to flood. He came up with innovated solutions to make sure these problems never happened again and provided us with comprehensive details on how the process would work. Once construction began, it took Dennis & his crew only two days to complete the project. We moved into our house 6 months ago and during some of the heavy rains, we noticed flooding around the pool deck and also a backup in the front downspouts such that water was overflowing the brand new gutters. We had a plumber come out and we did clear some of the drainage pipe blockages but not all and also discovered that the current drainage, while it did take water away from the foundation, it was not terminated correctly so it left pools of water in my yard. I called Dennis at Water Drainage Innovations and he came out and reviewed by current issues, and the same day came back with a quote. I was able to work with Dennis on the price and the repairs and once agreed upon, he committed to start the 2-day project in about a week. Prior to that date, he had the city mark all the power, gas and Fibre Cable lines. He and his team came out around 8am on the scheduled date and we reviewed once more the project, then they immediately went to work. His team was great, hand digging all the trenches and carefully replacing the sod when done. They cleaned up meticulously each day and completed all the work by the afternoon of the second day as scheduled. We checked all the sprinkler systems again to make sure they all worked fine with no leaks and reviewed the work including the French Drain they had installed. Everything met with final approval and reflected excellent and caring work. I highly recommend Dennis and his company for any drainage issues. It was a pleasure to work with such a professional team. I was extremely satisfied with the cost and the excellent quality of work performed.
