Bottom line: look elsewhere…read more The owner of this company touts his many years of experience and how other companies call him when they need help. His technicians seem great, but under his leadership, they are hamstrung. We had water leaking onto our driveway with the irrigation system off. I noticed that a sprinkler head was in the vicinity of this leak, so I dug a 2'x3'x2' hole around it and replaced it myself. The leak remained but the sprinkler head itself looked dry. I dug another hole the same size about 4' away and that hole also filled up with water with the irrigation system off. H2H Irrigation system was called to find and repair the leak. The owner spent some time troubleshooting and proclaimed the leak was coming from the irrigation system (not the main water line to the house). He directed his technicians to replace the #5 valve ($600 total bill). The leak remained. They located the main line running under my driveway and noted that this would be the next step if the wet area doesn't dry out ($1840 quote; work declined). I called out another irrigation company about 2 weeks later. That technician came by himself. I dug out the same two holes that I did for H2H. He said it's clearly coming from this area. We should dig deeper. He dug another 12" down and found a main water line brass fitting crack that was the clear source of this leak. He was at the house for 30 minutes (and didn't recommend excavating my driveway). This repair could not be completed by an irrigation company, which I understood, as only plumbers are qualified to work on main water lines. Ultimately, the H2H owner's years of experience was almost extremely costly to me and my family. I would go elsewhere if you want the job done right and you want to avoid be suckered into work that is costly and unnecessary.

Today my new favorite plumber came (from Scout Plumbing - also does sprinklers, heat and A/C - highly recommend!!!) Come to find out one of the sprinkler heads was damaged and 2 zones were wired together in the control box. He replaced the sprinkler head, rewired a zone, and now everything is working great. Absolutely ideal in every way. Price was reasonable - especially since they were able to replace parts and fix everything so quickly, and include a 1-year parts and labor warranty! I especially appreciated that they left everything better than they found it, were very conscious not to track mud anywhere in the garage (where sprinkler system controls are), and tested every sprinkler head before they finished.

Juan from J Flow was very responsive in his estimates and had great scheduling flexibility. He and his team came out the next day and tested our whole system. He and his team performed the work today and were polite and professional. They also made sure to keep my lawn clean and placed all the grass back from the digging. After the installation he tested all my sprinklers to make sure there weren't any other issues. So relieved that I was able to find these guys. The tech was very timely. I liked everything about this company! I hired them to repair some drip lines that had been chewed by animals. At my request, he took a look at my entire system and noticed a few other things that needed work. (He may have done the inspection without my request -- a lot of companies do. But I specifically asked for this.) On the spot, he gave me an itemized estimate for everything. His recommendations were great! He capped a head in a section of my backyard that was getting watered by three different zones and pooling water. He replaced 2 heads in the front yard, including one that was blocked by tree roots. He changed the spray pattern on 1 or 2 other heads to optimize watering in a problem section. He noticed that I was running a zone to an empty garden bed and recommended that I turn that zone off. He was fantastic! I would highly recommend TX Sprinkler Repair.

The owner of Cabrera Landscaping personally came out to take a look at my job and give his suggestions and an honest quote. The quality of work I had seen from other projects and the quote coming back at an affordable price point made my choice to move forward with Cabrera a no brainer. Once I signed a contract and got a deposit work started almost right away and was completed in an efficient amount of time. At the end of the job there were a few punch list items that needed to be resolved and the team at Cabrera jumped in to make everything right as soon as possible to make sure I was happy. We are now enjoying our new patio right in time for the fall season. I have an acre, and much of the backyard surrounding the pool and walkways was done in travertine stone, altogether a couple of thousand square feet. I had extensive flood damage to the stone in the last 2 years. Much of the stone had to be removed and reset or replaced, of course with a completely new stone bed and mortar. In addition I had a broken area of my driveway that needed to be redone with concrete pavers. The masons finished their job about a week ago and I was just amazed at how meticulous they were. I have done complete remodels, including extensive landscaping, on six different houses, and the paving work done by Cabrera was so far superior to any other crew I have hired that there is really no second best. They were head and shoulders above all the others. They were absolute perfectionists, and did not rush at all. What was originally thought to take 3 days or so turned into a 5-day job for a three man crew, but there was not a bit of complaining from anyone. They did not try to increase the charge because of the unanticipated extra labor. The owner of the company was always available and always responsive to any question. What I have today is a hardscape that is far superior to the original installation done 10 years ago. This is a company, family owned, that I will keep on my list for any landscaping needs in the future.
