His technicians seem great, but under his leadership, they are hamstrung. We had water leaking onto our driveway with the irrigation system off. I noticed that a sprinkler head was in the vicinity of this leak, so I dug a 2'x3'x2' hole around it and replaced it myself. The leak remained but the sprinkler head itself looked dry. I dug another hole the same size about 4' away and that hole also filled up with water with the irrigation system off. H2H Irrigation system was called to find and repair the leak. The owner spent some time troubleshooting and proclaimed the leak was coming from the irrigation system (not the main water line to the house). He directed his technicians to replace the #5 valve ($600 total bill). The leak remained. They located the main line running under my driveway and noted that this would be the next step if the wet area doesn't dry out ($1840 quote; work declined). I called out another irrigation company about 2 weeks later. That technician came by himself. I dug out the same two holes that I did for H2H. He said it's clearly coming from this area. We should dig deeper. He dug another 12" down and found a main water line brass fitting crack that was the clear source of this leak. He was at the house for 30 minutes (and didn't recommend excavating my driveway). This repair could not be completed by an irrigation company, which I understood, as only plumbers are qualified to work on main water lines. Ultimately, the H2H owner's years of experience was almost extremely costly to me and my family. I would go elsewhere if you want the job done right and you want to avoid be suckered into work that is costly and unnecessary.

We closed on our new home in May 2018 and leading up to the date, we decided that as soon as…read morepossible after move-in, we would install a whole-home water softener and filtration system. As one might guess, we expected to be able to install the system inside the garage, since that is where most home owner access water shutoffs are installed in newer home constructions. But, because our homebuilder put our water shutoff in the front yard, opposite the garage, we were forced to re-route the water line. I know... Idiotic. Right?!? Grrr!!! Anyway... The ONLY option was to route the line from the shutoff in the front yard flowerbed, across the front yard, UNDER the driveway, across the other side of the yard and up to and into the side of the garage. After paying someone to dig the trench along the new route and up to either side of the driveway, I attempted to tunnel under the driveway using a not so cheap "hydro drill" I purchased online. (Word to the Wise - especially if you live in Texas...: DO NOT try this!) That lasted as long as it took me to realize that "Texas Gumbo" does not care about your snazzy new hydro drill; it will gum it up!! And, so it went! I was at my wits end when I located Choice Irrigation and Drainage on Yelp. I spoke briefly with Jason and expressed my sense of desperation and need. Jason was in the midst of installing a French drain on the opposite side of the Dallas metroplex from my location. He told me how long he expected it would take to tunnel under my driveway, explained it may go late if he is even able to begin the job that day, and said if he finished the French drain, he would come out and give it a go... IF he could rent the boring machine. As promised, Jason finished up the French drain and called to say he was on his way. I could not have felt more relieved. Upon arrival at my home, Jason assessed the job and verified where I wanted the tunnel to enter and exit beneath the driveway. Jason verbally verified with me that the area under the driveway where his crew would be tunneling was free of any other lines (power, gas, water...). I assured him it was and his crew began work. Multiple times while boring, Jason asked if I was certain about the clearance of obstacles beneath the driveway, and multiple times I assured him I was! Jason explained that the boring process, while very effective and almost 100%, still can experience issues if there are large rocks or other debris in the ground that may divert the direction of the bore and thus cause it to go in an unknown direction. I was certain we were far enough away from the water Main to cause worry. And, that is where my calculations fell short. I mean very short... like inches! As I anxiously awaited the emergence of the bore head in the trench beneath me, a sudden flood of water began gushing up from under the driveway, filling the trench and emptying down the driveway and into the street! I helplessly looked at Jason and with knowing eyes, muttered, "The water Main?!?" "Yup," he said, as I started wondering how I would ever explain this to the City and moreover, how in the world I was going to pay for such a dumb miscalculation. Well. Not to worry! Jason's crew quickly went to work! They cut the water feed, dug out everything surrounding the water Main fracture and made the necessary repairs... AND, managed to still bore through EXACTLY where I needed the new plumbing to go through. Throughout the six hours Jason and his crew worked, he and his crew remained calm, professional, and determined to make sure everything was completed as requested and restored, without issue. I wholeheartedly cannot make enough positive remarks about Jason and his crew! They were, in a word, OUTSTANDING!!! In the end, it wasn't cheap, but it was very reasonable, did not break the bank, was well done, exceeded my expectations and, above all else, fair! If you are looking to have irrigation or drainage work done, Choice Irrigation and Drainage would be an excellent "choice!" Live well. Be well. Cheers!
