I can't say enough about Javier, Jeff and the rest of the crew. We had a lot of problems with our…read moresystem, including broken irrigation valves and several dead zones in VERY difficult locations under our deck. They fixed everything! And I didn't have to sell a kidney. They are flexible, have great communication and left my backyard in great shape. I thought the pricing was fair considering how efficient they were. Even though you have to book them weeks in advance, its worth it.

Update: I wanted to provide an update based on what…read morehappened after I posted my original review. Instead of attempting to resolve my concerns professionally, Jeff sent me the following text message: "I flagged your account and deleted the invoice from today. It's a small price for me to pay to realize you were an issue to begin with and we don't work well with people like you." I believe this message speaks for itself and demonstrates how customer concerns are handled. Additionally, Jeff S., as listed on the review, posted a review about me personally online despite never having hired me for any business services "Do not recommend Stephanie R, very rude and callous" Rather than addressing the service I received, the response attacked me personally. It was also stated that I instructed the company to never contact me regarding the service. That is simply not accurate. As the property owner, I specifically instructed the company to contact my tenant for scheduling and appointment confirmations because I do not live at the property. I did not tell them to never contact me regarding the work itself, that is ridiculous- I am the one paying for it all. I believe businesses should respond to customer feedback with professionalism and factual information. Unfortunately, my experience after leaving an honest review has only reinforced the concerns I originally raised with personal attacks and name calling. ------- Original review: I called them out because my tenant admitted in writing that she had changed the sprinkler controller settings and wanted the system checked afterward. Before scheduling the appointment, I explained to the company that the service call was specifically to inspect and reset the system because the tenant had altered the programming. After inspecting the system, Jeff called me and immediately said the entire system was "all messed up," claimed the controller was "an old Home Depot one," and estimated approximately $1,100 in repairs. He also told me there was "probably nothing they could do" to reset the controller. After questioning that conclusion, the story suddenly changed, and I was told they actually could reset and reprogram the controller after all. What concerns me even more is that when I received the invoice, there was no mention that the tenant had changed the controller settings or that this was the reason for the service call. I specifically requested that this information be documented, and the company refused. The property was purchased in February 2026 and underwent a professional home inspection with no sprinkler system issues reported. I find it difficult to believe that just a few months later the system suddenly required extensive repairs, including replacement of 17 sprinkler heads, especially when the service call was prompted by a tenant changing the programming. I can't say whether the repairs were truly necessary, but I left feeling pressured into a very expensive recommendation, received inconsistent information from the technician, and was disappointed that the invoice did not accurately reflect the reason for the visit. Because of that experience, I will be seeking a second opinion before authorizing any major repairs and would encourage others to do the same.

We closed on our new home in May 2018 and leading up to the date, we decided that as soon as…read morepossible after move-in, we would install a whole-home water softener and filtration system. As one might guess, we expected to be able to install the system inside the garage, since that is where most home owner access water shutoffs are installed in newer home constructions. But, because our homebuilder put our water shutoff in the front yard, opposite the garage, we were forced to re-route the water line. I know... Idiotic. Right?!? Grrr!!! Anyway... The ONLY option was to route the line from the shutoff in the front yard flowerbed, across the front yard, UNDER the driveway, across the other side of the yard and up to and into the side of the garage. After paying someone to dig the trench along the new route and up to either side of the driveway, I attempted to tunnel under the driveway using a not so cheap "hydro drill" I purchased online. (Word to the Wise - especially if you live in Texas...: DO NOT try this!) That lasted as long as it took me to realize that "Texas Gumbo" does not care about your snazzy new hydro drill; it will gum it up!! And, so it went! I was at my wits end when I located Choice Irrigation and Drainage on Yelp. I spoke briefly with Jason and expressed my sense of desperation and need. Jason was in the midst of installing a French drain on the opposite side of the Dallas metroplex from my location. He told me how long he expected it would take to tunnel under my driveway, explained it may go late if he is even able to begin the job that day, and said if he finished the French drain, he would come out and give it a go... IF he could rent the boring machine. As promised, Jason finished up the French drain and called to say he was on his way. I could not have felt more relieved. Upon arrival at my home, Jason assessed the job and verified where I wanted the tunnel to enter and exit beneath the driveway. Jason verbally verified with me that the area under the driveway where his crew would be tunneling was free of any other lines (power, gas, water...). I assured him it was and his crew began work. Multiple times while boring, Jason asked if I was certain about the clearance of obstacles beneath the driveway, and multiple times I assured him I was! Jason explained that the boring process, while very effective and almost 100%, still can experience issues if there are large rocks or other debris in the ground that may divert the direction of the bore and thus cause it to go in an unknown direction. I was certain we were far enough away from the water Main to cause worry. And, that is where my calculations fell short. I mean very short... like inches! As I anxiously awaited the emergence of the bore head in the trench beneath me, a sudden flood of water began gushing up from under the driveway, filling the trench and emptying down the driveway and into the street! I helplessly looked at Jason and with knowing eyes, muttered, "The water Main?!?" "Yup," he said, as I started wondering how I would ever explain this to the City and moreover, how in the world I was going to pay for such a dumb miscalculation. Well. Not to worry! Jason's crew quickly went to work! They cut the water feed, dug out everything surrounding the water Main fracture and made the necessary repairs... AND, managed to still bore through EXACTLY where I needed the new plumbing to go through. Throughout the six hours Jason and his crew worked, he and his crew remained calm, professional, and determined to make sure everything was completed as requested and restored, without issue. I wholeheartedly cannot make enough positive remarks about Jason and his crew! They were, in a word, OUTSTANDING!!! In the end, it wasn't cheap, but it was very reasonable, did not break the bank, was well done, exceeded my expectations and, above all else, fair! If you are looking to have irrigation or drainage work done, Choice Irrigation and Drainage would be an excellent "choice!" Live well. Be well. Cheers!
