Head to Head Irrigation Systems

Head to Head Irrigation Systems

I can't say enough about Javier, Jeff and the rest of the crew. We had a lot of problems with our…read moresystem, including broken irrigation valves and several dead zones in VERY difficult locations under our deck. They fixed everything! And I didn't have to sell a kidney. They are flexible, have great communication and left my backyard in great shape. I thought the pricing was fair considering how efficient they were. Even though you have to book them weeks in advance, its worth it.

Update: I wanted to provide an update based on what…read morehappened after I posted my original review. Instead of attempting to resolve my concerns professionally, Jeff sent me the following text message: "I flagged your account and deleted the invoice from today. It's a small price for me to pay to realize you were an issue to begin with and we don't work well with people like you." I believe this message speaks for itself and demonstrates how customer concerns are handled. Additionally, Jeff S., as listed on the review, posted a review about me personally online despite never having hired me for any business services "Do not recommend Stephanie R, very rude and callous" Rather than addressing the service I received, the response attacked me personally. It was also stated that I instructed the company to never contact me regarding the service. That is simply not accurate. As the property owner, I specifically instructed the company to contact my tenant for scheduling and appointment confirmations because I do not live at the property. I did not tell them to never contact me regarding the work itself, that is ridiculous- I am the one paying for it all. I believe businesses should respond to customer feedback with professionalism and factual information. Unfortunately, my experience after leaving an honest review has only reinforced the concerns I originally raised with personal attacks and name calling. ------- Original review: I called them out because my tenant admitted in writing that she had changed the sprinkler controller settings and wanted the system checked afterward. Before scheduling the appointment, I explained to the company that the service call was specifically to inspect and reset the system because the tenant had altered the programming. After inspecting the system, Jeff called me and immediately said the entire system was "all messed up," claimed the controller was "an old Home Depot one," and estimated approximately $1,100 in repairs. He also told me there was "probably nothing they could do" to reset the controller. After questioning that conclusion, the story suddenly changed, and I was told they actually could reset and reprogram the controller after all. What concerns me even more is that when I received the invoice, there was no mention that the tenant had changed the controller settings or that this was the reason for the service call. I specifically requested that this information be documented, and the company refused. The property was purchased in February 2026 and underwent a professional home inspection with no sprinkler system issues reported. I find it difficult to believe that just a few months later the system suddenly required extensive repairs, including replacement of 17 sprinkler heads, especially when the service call was prompted by a tenant changing the programming. I can't say whether the repairs were truly necessary, but I left feeling pressured into a very expensive recommendation, received inconsistent information from the technician, and was disappointed that the invoice did not accurately reflect the reason for the visit. Because of that experience, I will be seeking a second opinion before authorizing any major repairs and would encourage others to do the same.

Problem: Master valve was not functioning, the system would not turn on, and the system needed a…read morehealth check. I spent 1 1/2 hours with Sam Rothan of American Sprinkler Repair today. I got an email earlier this week confirming my appointment and a call this morning from Sam saying exactly when he would be showing-up to the house. When he arrived, Sam introduced himself, confirmed why he was here, and went straight to work first shutting off the system water line, replacing the master valve, and then both testing and verifying everything was working properly. Sam then started to go through each of my 12 zones and checked sprinkler heads, placement, pressure, coverage, and leaks. Sam walked the front yard (first set of zones), with me in tow, as he twisted and adjusted head placements for optimal coverage. In his process, he replaced one head that was installed incorrectly and he found one leak. For the leak, Sam quickly triaged the situation and fixed it. He took great care to gently remove flowers and the grass, repair the line, and replace the plants in a way nobody could tell there were repairs done. He then tested and verified the line ensuring it was working properly. Next we went to the backyard (second set of zones) where I built additions to the yard including planters and an extended veranda. While watching each zone turn on for 2 minutes, we put a plan together to modify three zones to accommodate the improvements. We plan to remove, replace, and add sprinkler heads where appropriate. These modifications are slated for our next appointment sometime in June. After we were comfortable with the plan, I proceeded to ask Sam questions about drip lines and micro systems. I followed him around the yard asking questions and discussing my installation. He listened intently to everything I was saying and my point of view. He answered all my questions and offered recommendations based on his knowledge and experience - which I am comfortable in saying is quite extensive. All the while we were talking, Sam was installing micro sprayers in my new front yard flower beds. Just prior to him leaving, Sam tested and verified that my rain gauge was in working order. He showed me how to use the gauge and how to test it when it next rains. Sam was very professional, clean, and wore a mask the entire time. I appreciate his knowledge and technical abilities. He offered suggestions that were meaningful to my situation and did not try to upsell me. Both Cindy, when she walked me through the master valve interim solution on the phone, and Sam have earned my business because of their obvious experience, very reasonable pricing, and mostly because of the fantastic customer service.

I made an appointment because half of my front lawn sprinklers were not working. I had to work, so…read moremy mom met the tech at my house. She said he turned the sprinklers on, saw that they were dribbling, ran his hand under the faucet and said "you have a pressure issue. This feels like a 45 and it should be 75. You need to call a plumber to increase the PSI". He did not use a pressure gauge of any kind. Today my new favorite plumber came (from Scout Plumbing - also does sprinklers, heat and A/C - highly recommend!!!) Come to find out one of the sprinkler heads was damaged and 2 zones were wired together in the control box. He replaced the sprinkler head, rewired a zone, and now everything is working great. So basically I paid American Sprinkler Repair $133.90 to come to my house to do absolutely nothing and provide completely incorrect information. Wish I could give zero stars...

Absolutely ideal in every way. Price was reasonable - especially since they were able to replace parts and fix everything so quickly, and include a 1-year parts and labor warranty! I especially appreciated that they left everything better than they found it, were very conscious not to track mud anywhere in the garage (where sprinkler system controls are), and tested every sprinkler head before they finished.

Juan from J Flow was very responsive in his estimates and had great scheduling flexibility. He and his team came out the next day and tested our whole system. He said I only needed to replace a few parts and not the whole master valve. This was a huge savings for me (time and money). He and his team performed the work today and were polite and professional. They also made sure to keep my lawn clean and placed all the grass back from the digging. After the installation he tested all my sprinklers to make sure there weren't any other issues. So relieved that I was able to find these guys. I will definitely be using them again for any future irrigation needs. Highly recommend!!!
