"Korean culture invasion at its finest that will be loved by everyone" was my first thought as I enter the place. Interior and presentation are very Korean. Menu and style of cooking are authentic. Fried chicken crust was rice flour based, which some may find different. Their Gochujang chicken is probably the best. Also good selection of Korean beers make it a great experience. read more

Wow! I am still dreaming of my meal at CM Chicken. I was in town visiting from New Jersey and this place did not disappoint! The chicken was full of flavor and crispy - specifically, the snow onion chicken was my favorite. 10/10 will return, everything was absolutely delicious!!! read more

Another spot where my hands are messy with DELICIOUS bites and I have no photos for you ! Recommendations : * Red Hot Pepper TikkuDak with a snow onion * Curry Spring Onion Chicken * Tikku Soy Chicken Gizzards * Soju or ice cold Beer pairs perfectly read more

Man oh man this is some DELICIOUS Korean Fried Chicken. Crispy, juicy, fresh, well seasoned, lip smacking sauces, crispy hot battered fries, large succulent calamari, ice cold mug tall Sapporo beer, awesome tasting rice as well. Not much more to say about this place as they had a steady stream of customers, call in orders, and take out! Great customer service as well as they even gave my kiddo a free complimentary milk. If you remember BON CHON back in the day this place smashes the hell out of it and plus everything here was CLEAN as well unlike BON CHON which is a big reason why they closed. The only drawback to this place is their business operations are incorrectly listed online as it shows them opening at 11am but really it's 11:30 and noon on the weekends. Get there early though cause business is booming and for a very good reason. CUDOS to this place for the best chicken in COLUMBUS!!!!! read more

I had a very bad experience. I ordered a whole chicken. When the girl told me the price it was for a 1/2 chicken. She corrected this and informed me it would be about 10 mins. One minute later an order appeared I didn't think it was mine. The girl I placed the order with was not to be found. Another employee told me this was my order. I ordered regular but received over cooked extra extra crispy. Over cooked cold had to throw it away it was so bad. Maybe it was a bad day but I will never go back. Very bad read more

How have I not been to this place before now? My husband and I stopped by for lunch last weekend. I hadn't been feeling well and didn't have much of an appetite but we we t ahead and ordered fries, an order of the Garlic Soy Wings and an order of the Lemon Spring Onion Wings. They were so good. The chicken was so amazingly crispy and perfectly fried and the sauces were like nothing I had ever eaten before. Both were amazing but the Garlic Soy was my favorite. I am a big whimp when it comes to spice but this was delicious. It definitely had a little heat that built to a nice level but never became overpowering. We ended up eating everything that we ordered and I am already trying to figure out when we can go back for more. The service was fast and friendly as well. You have to try this place! read more

We enjoyed our dinner here. The portion is quite big. Ordered 2 plates of wings and curly fries side for 3 people, and still left with a few wings after we were all full. The tikkudak is flavorful, it has the distinct "burnt/ grill" smell from the charcoal baking. I wasn't a big fan of the curry wings, was expecting it to be somewhat savory, but it was actually on the sweet side. Service was great, foods came out fast. read more

Yuummmmmm. Real authentic Korean chicken. We just ordered a regular chicken and asked for sauce on the side - which was the perfect idea. I haven't tried the other menu (like tikkudak) but as far as regular fried chicken, it tastes good! read more

This restaurant is a step above fast food, but in the best possible way. My boyfriend and I shared the Garlic Soy chicken and fries. It was more than enough for the two of us. The chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful. It was also delightfully crispy without being oily. The table has disposable gloves on it -- and for good reason... because it's also delightfully messy. Best lunch spot around. Pricey and worth it. The crunch on these Korean-style chicken wings is more substantial than the usual light and crisp rice flour Korean chicken wings from a popular chain which no longer has an outpost in the Cbus area. These wings have a clunky, craggy crust that soaks up all that sauce and believe me, you want every drop of that soy garlic sauce! I always get the wings and always soy garlic. If you like Asian style pickles, try the pickled daikon cubes. If you don't know if you like Asian style pickles, get them. They're a delicious compliment to the wings and they're free. So don't be scared. Then dive into your hot, crispy, spicy yet sweet wings and you'll instantly get the hype and gladly hand over your $15 bucks. read more

This place is not messing around! Just had it for the first time. I got the snow onion drums for pickup since I had some extra Uber Eats credit from my American Express card and decided to use it to try this place out. Big juicy pieces of chicken. They gave a generous portion of snow onion sauce and onions, each in their own container to ensure the chicken stays crispy. I decided to try the chicken without dipping it in the sauce first. That crunch of the first bite was perfection! The chicken itself has a very fresh taste. The Snow Onion sauce was light and creamy. This is definitely my new go-to chicken spot! read more

CM Chicken is a monthly staple for my family. All things chicken and all sauces are FIRE. 10/10 recommend to anyone!!

Thank heavens for CM Chicken finally opening in Columbus! I went during soft opening and it was sooo full, i was thinking i can never eat at the store.. but i recommend it. Getting as take out is also good but getting it at the store while its hot is the best way to enjoy your chicken!!! It doesnt take long to be seated when i went on 1/2/2022. It also helps when you go hungry. A group of six went and we ordered a whole Snow Onion Chicken, half of the spicy garlic and half of the soy garlic. We also asked for a lot of the cubed white radishes as it complements the chicken if the sauce can get kind of too much. (Like an American version of celery and ranch) i ordered curly fries last time i ordered to go and it was delicious so i got it again. My friend ordered extra sauce for the snow onion chicken which i thought was interesting since i didnt think of doing that but it was such a smart move. They will give you another plate with just whole bunch if sliced onion and the snow sauce. The chicken that was on the bottom of the pile doesnt get much sauce and the onion disappear so fast but with the extra sauce you have plenty!!!! The spicy garlic was tasty too but spicy for me lol i had a lot of cubed radishes to help balance out the spiciness. In Korea, people get half of the plain fried chicken and half of the spicy garlic chicken and call it BanBan (half and half). Its the safest bet if you dont want to explore new flavors. The soy garlic was also good! Flavorful but not spicy! We cleared it all!! Nothing was left. Everybody was cheesing and super satisfied! Im coming back in person instead of takeout! I used to drive to chicago to go to CM chicken just for the snow onion! Super happy i saved hundreds of miles! read more

Really great spot! If you're a fan of Asian flavors or fried chicken or both, you should definitely check out CM chicken. Their menu is mostly fried chicken but they have a great variety of sauces and styles. You can get most dishes either as tenders, wings, or even a half/whole chicken. The portions are massive. My personal favorite were the hot garlic tenders. Spicy food always kills my stomach after, but this place was definitely worth it. Check it out! read more

Went here around 6PM on Saturday! There was a little bit of a wait because it was quite busy. The food was really good! The chicken was juicy and crispy. You get 5 giant drumsticks per order. I ordered rice on the side and it was super filling. I had 2 drumsticks left over. The service was a little bit slower but it was busy in their defense! I would definitely go back! read more

CM Chicken - Spicy Garlic Drumsticks - Korean Near Me - Columbus, Ohio

Tried this as a takeaway for dinner and was really happy to check it out! We got the hot snow onion on tenders, garlic soy tenders, and curly fries. Never having had the snow onion before, that's a very interesting flavor. The hot sauce is unique and perfectly hot. The garlic soy was my favorite and would absolutely get it - and the huge box of curly fries - again! It had great slightly sweet-spicy flavor that is my jam. The pieces of chicken were huge and crispy, even having driven it home. The curly fries got a little cold/limp on the drive home but the taste is so good! It's a bit on the pricey side but I'm down for it since they very clearly use high-quality ingredients! read more

Hands down the best fried chicken in Columbus. The quality of chicken is so good (no fatty parts, veins, anything!). I've been 4 times and everytime it's delicious. I get the spicy garlic tenders. They're so spicy, yet sweet at the same time. Super crispy too. 10/10 would recommend :) read more

Just moved from California and in search of a new go-to spot for some delicious Korean chicken, and we have finally found it! The food was cooked to perfection and the spicy garlic wings were out of this world. The draft beer was also a great addition to the meal. Service was fast and the overall customer service was exceptional. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic meal. Delicious! First time trying Korean fried chicken and this place was a great intro. Would recommend!

Love it. So glad to have KFC in Columbus again. Despite all the bad reviews Ive heard I enjoyed this spot. They had 1 cashier. 1 server and maybe 2 cooks. The entire dining room was packed. Plus they were doing call in and take out orders. Only 1 server for about 35 people. Her hustle was crazy. I enjoyed the food. It's pricey but worth it. This is the only KFC place in town. I will be back when they have the full menu. Currently only about half the menu is in stock. If you decide to go, I recommend dining in. That's when it tastes best. Fresh and crispy from the fryer. read more

I've tried CM Chicken in other cities and was so excited to hear they were opening in Columbus. Out of all the KFCs I've tried, and I've tried them all (e.g. BonChon, bb.q Chicken, Pelicana, etc.), CM is by far my favorite. I tried going there for dinner on a Tuesday night and they were packed with the wait time being over an hour so went there on a Wednesday afternoon thinking it would be easier to get seated. Shockingly, they were equally busy, and every table was packed, but I decided to wait and so glad I did. Since it's still a soft opening, they didn't have everything on the menu. I got the snow onion chicken and the garlic soy and OMG, thought I had died and gone to heaven. Each bite was packed with flavor and so crispy! Mmmm...I am getting hungry just thinking of it as I'm writing this review. The phone was ringing nonstop the entire time I was there. Every time they put it down, it immediately rang again. It was this way the whole time I was there - crazy. Like I said, it was packed on a Wednesday afternoon at 3pm. Also, it was clear they were short staffed which seems to be the case across the entire restaurant industry. Anyway, just be patient and prepared to wait. I promise it will be worth it and you won't regret it. read more

You know it's good Korean fried chicken when your wings are still crispy the next day. CM Chicken comes through in this aspect. We ordered our wings in the garlic soy, garlic spicy, and red hot pepper sauces. Red hot spicy was pretty pepper, so I'll just stick the with garlic soy and garlic spicy next time. All were good though along with the curly fries. The service was nice too. Friendly people there. read more

I really was excited for this place. We don't live on that end of town so when I had the chance to try it I was stoked. The sauces we've tried are solid, and the fried then grilled chicken is super crispy and flavorful. Sadly they're clearly either having major supply issues causing them to make questionable choices or their pricing is just completely out of line with what they are offering. We've gone twice, because in really wanted to see if the first time was a fluke. Sadly it wasn't. The first time we got wings. As I said they tasted pretty good, but they were some of the smallest and saddest wings I've ever seen. Many were more like winglets. It appeared they had lined up wings on a cutting board and taken a cleaver to them to turn one wing into multiple. At nearly $2 per wing they should at least be normal size if not big and meaty--not pieces of wings. The second time we got a half chicken. Same story-- the only clearly recognizable piece of the chicken was the drumstick and it was barely larger than a wing drumette you'd get at other places. The rest of the pieces had been hacked up into chunks before breading. This made for sharp boney edges and difficult to eat pieces of chicken. The prices ranging from $16-24 for chicken alone would be fine if they came with portions to match the price or even just a side with the current underwhelming portions, but even when considering the price when splitting the meal it felt like a rip off. There is a recipe for a great place here. Early reviews seem to indicate our two experiences aren't what they set out to do, but they definitely need to adapt to the supply constraints better. read more

I am so excited that an authentic Korean fried chicken brand just opened in Columbus. Currently they are still in the soft opening phase, so they only offer a limited items from the menu (snow onion and original flavors in half or full orders). The store was very busy so the service was a little slow. We ordered fried calamari and four different flavors of fried chicken. I don't suggest to order the calamari. They gave you so little for the price they charged, and the calamari didn't have much seasoning so it tasted very plain. However, the fried chicken was delicious! It was crispy outside, and the meat was juicy~ out of four flavors, snow onion one was my favorite. I really liked the snow sauce with some very thin sliced raw onion pieces to add a little refreshing flavor. I wish the garlic soy one had more garlic flavor instead of sweet soy because it tasted a little light. But overall the fried chicken was pretty good, and I can't wait to try more flavors once they officially open next month! read more

A bit confusing of a menu. We've been a couple of times, so clearly we like it. The chicken is really really good. So are the onion rings. Can't eat here too often, the fried foods call to me and I just have no willpower to try to eat healthy in this fried chicken heaven. read more

Unfortunately going to have to update this review, although the food is good, the wait is INSANE. I get it's a new restaurant, but 1.5 hours for fried chicken is wild. Been here three times, every time was a charm! The snow onion seems intimidating, but in reality tastes amazingly good! Sweetened but still savory in chicken flavor, a definite recommend for onion lovers! The spicy garlic chicken is pretty dang spicy but still good and sweet! The crunchiness is incredible and the chicken is tender and perfect. I must say their interior is quite interesting, with tvs showing multiple content, its entertaining! They also have gloves at the table so you don't get your hands dirty! You WILL NOT regret coming here! read more

Food is decent but not particularly my style. Probably a personal preference but I doubt that I would go back. Server was nice but a little too eager to get your order in and get you out of the restaurant (it was 5:30 and maybe two other tables occupied in the whole place). Might be ok for takeout but not really a nice ambiance to dine in. read more

PHENOMENAL FOOD. We LOVED all our meals - garlic soy drumsticks, curry tenders, and the Red Pepper Snow - all were pretty much everything you could hope for from fried chicken. My chicken was very juicy and tender on the inside, crispy and tons of flavor in the breading on the outside. The fries that came with my son's meal were also legit awesome. We will 100% be back...and SOON! The atmosphere was very casual, but still a sit down restaurant, I think it would be no problem to bring kids and they have some less spicy options available. On the adult side of things, I also ordered a drink - the text was in Korean, and I don't know the name but the poster also said "Happy Water." I got the grapefruit flavor - it was 13% alcohol in a beer size bottle, which was a lot, but would be great to share or sip on over a longer meal (we came for lunch). If I could find it I think I'd buy that drink instead of seltzers - could barely taste the liquor and had a nice flavor but not overly sugary. Overall 5 stars for this restaurant, I don't hesitate for a second on that rating. You HAVE TO TRY CM CHICKEN!!! read more

I was so excited to hear there was a new Korean fried chicken place that opened up. My sister in law was the first to visit. She had great reviews about the place. She did not disappoint, this is the Korean version of KFC, but better! We went during dinner rush and the dine in was packed. We decided to order to go. The wait is 45 mins for our to go orders. If you are looking for a quick in and out. This place is not it. I was a little disappointed that not all the Menu items were available. I wanted the fried gizzards, but not available. The bottom half of the menu they couldn't do which was the grilled version of the chicken. So hopefully they get that up and running. Didn't get a chance to take pictures, but I have video of the review on TikTop @pocambocooking. Overall I would go back and order again. read more

Was told I needed to come in for lunch and I'm so glad I did! Got the 3 tenders Garlic Soy with rice and coleslaw. An absolute steal at $10. The chicken is super crispy and the garlic soy has just enough heat to enhance the flavor, but not too much that I couldn't handle it. Not sure if they have any no spice options. Food is really GOOD here BUT the service is terrible. They don't have enough servers to help everyone. No one checks on you or how your food is once it's brought out. They'll forget sides like the free radish if you don't ask for it. We have been here a few times since they opened. We get way more chicken wings now with a single order. Before they served about half the size. If you are looking for Korean style fried chicken, I haven't had better in central Ohio. The default spiciest chicken is a nice escalating heat. By the time you are full, you don't want it any hotter. Plus, there's a bunch of more esoteric food choices that I'm way too basic to try when that delicious fried chicken is right there. Also, the sides are (at the time of this writing) family style, so no need to order individual portions. read more
